Chapter 81 You're kidding me!

Just when Gu Qi was in despair, Gu Yuheng's phone finally answered.

Lin Chuxia: Send someone to pick me up!

Gu Yuheng put down his phone and glanced lightly at the dog that was standing there, stunned.

"Hmph! At least you're still somewhat useful. I'll keep you around for now!"

Husky: So I should thank you for sparing my life! Thank you so much!

Actually, Gu Yuheng didn't really want to kill the dog. He didn't have a penchant for abusing small animals, and besides, this was his mother's beloved dog. How could he possibly hurt it? He just wanted to scare it.

This dog is so arrogant and will take advantage of anyone who doesn't discipline it properly. He only let it go hungry for two meals, and it dared to act crazy in front of him and even chewed up the flowers he had prepared for her.

If we don't teach them a lesson, they'll get out of control.

Gu Yuheng dusted off his sleeves, stood up, and went upstairs.

Behind her, Gu Qi asked, puzzled, "Third Master, where are you going?"

"Take a bath."

A bath? Why would you take a bath in broad daylight? Gu Qi was full of questions.

Bishui Huating is quite a distance from Jinda University, and it took a lot of time to go there and back.

When Gu Yuheng came out of the bath, Lin Chuxia hadn't arrived home yet. However, he was in a good mood at the moment, and even the dog downstairs seemed more pleasing to the eye.

Lin Chuxia had already figured out the situation on her way here.

It turns out that the "dog" Gu Yuheng was referring to wasn't himself, but a real dog.

He brought back the old lady's dog, but didn't know how to take care of it, so he sent her a message asking for help... Of course, this was Gu Qi's explanation.

"Don't you dislike keeping dogs? Why did you bring a husky over?" Lin Chuxia asked as soon as she saw Gu Yuheng.

To her surprise, Gu Yuheng countered with a question: "Don't you feel the house is too quiet?"

Lin Chuxia frowned. When did she say that?

Although she felt that Gu Yuheng's place was indeed a bit too quiet, it wasn't exactly deserted.

The house felt quiet mainly because Gu Yuheng preferred peace and quiet, so there were few servants and they rarely came to disturb them, which made the house seem a bit too empty. However, there were quite a few butterflies and birds in the garden, so it wasn't entirely lifeless.

Thinking about it, Lin Chuxia said, "It's a bit quieter, but it's alright! But, does this have anything to do with you having a dog?"

"Of course it works." Her return proves that the method is effective.

Gu Yuheng didn't explain further, and Lin Chuxia didn't press the matter any further.

She went out of the house, found the dog huddled in the corner, barely alive from the ordeal, and walked over to it.

"What's wrong with it? Is it sick?" On the way, Gu Qi briefly explained the situation to her, but only told her that they didn't know how to take care of it, without explaining the specific reasons.

It wasn't sick, it was probably just frightened by Third Master. Gu Qi glanced at the dog on the ground, looking at it with some sympathy.

"They're probably starving!" Gu Yuheng followed Lin Chuxia out and answered her question casually.

Lin Chuxia remembered the message she received: "Didn't you feed it all day?"

"It didn't want to eat it itself." Gu Yuheng was also very good at shifting the blame.

"What did you give them?" Lin Chuxia asked.

Gu Yuheng lied through his teeth, saying, "I've given it rice, vegetables, chicken, duck, fish... but it doesn't want to eat any of them."

Upon hearing this, the husky immediately rolled off the ground and barked loudly in Gu Yuheng's direction, expressing its dissatisfaction.
