Chapter 13 Deer Antler Workshop

Ji Yi and A Jiang both had their own spirit beasts, and the two promised to help Linglong find a silver fox as her spirit beast as well, so they accompanied her to the Deer Horn Workshop.

After some rough modifications, the three of them slipped out of the Taoist temple under the cover of night.

The location of Deer Horn Workshop is very mysterious. After going through three teleportation arrays, we finally arrived at a pitch-black place.

They followed the dim firelight out of the tunnel and arrived at the entrance to the market.

The Deer Horn Pavilion seems to be located inside a jar, with an oval-shaped deep blue night sky overhead. It is surrounded by darkness, with a three-story wooden building in the middle. Each floor has several wooden bridges leading into the darkness, and the whole building looks like a deformed centipede.

Linglong was prepared. As they walked, she whispered, "The first floor has spirit stones and herbs, the second floor has rare and exotic beasts, and the third floor has auctions held irregularly. Let's go straight to the second floor."

The unfamiliar, dark environment made A-Jiang uneasy. She looked around at the strangely dressed people and whispered, "Linglong, is it safe here? Something feels off."

“Yes, many people have grown fur and ears. Are they half-demons?” Ji Yi echoed softly.

"Those are orcs, different from half-demons. You don't need to be afraid. Buying and selling goods here is safe. Just be careful when you leave."

Cautiously observing their surroundings, the three approached a stall. This hunter, for some unknown reason, had over a dozen small silver foxes for sale!

Linglong looked at the pile of silver foxes, feeling both happy and troubled, unsure which one to choose.

While they were observing, all three of them smelled a fragrance, rich but not pungent, and they couldn't tell what kind of fragrance it was. However, it gave them a somewhat hazy feeling and made them feel relaxed and happy.

A-Jiang turned his head and saw a beautiful woman in pink standing beside them: she held a round fan to partially cover her face, and her hair, adorned with gold hairpins and jade pendants, cascaded down like a waterfall. Even just her profile was enough to make her breathtakingly beautiful.

The beauty said to the hunter, "I want this whole litter of fox cubs. Is this enough?"

As he spoke, he handed over a glass bead, which had a faint, flowing luster.

The hunter took it and examined it carefully, then exclaimed with delight, "That's enough, that's enough!"

We had to get to work and pack all the little foxes away.

Linglong panicked and said, "Boss, you promised to sell me one!"

The hunter paused, somewhat embarrassed, and said to the woman in pink, "I promised this young master one earlier. Do you think you could spare one for him?"

"That won't do. These little beasts are all ones I've chosen. Besides, you've already taken my money. Do you want to go back on your word?"

A pair of eyes looked at the hunter, sharp as knives.

Linglong said to the pink-clad beauty, "You can't raise so many by yourself. Why don't you give me one? Consider it a gift from you, and I'll give you a high price."

How do you know I can't raise them?

The fox clan is very useful. Most foxes are extremely beautiful after they transform into human form, so some people use secret methods to enable them to transform into human form, lock their spiritual power, and make them slaves to humans.

However, foxes that are "forced to mature" in this way only have a lifespan of three years. After three years, their souls will dissipate and they will no longer be able to reincarnate.

Linglong suspected that this person was bought for this purpose, and she felt anxious and worried.

"How can you be like this? We were here first, can't you be reasonable?" Ji Yi was also a little angry.

"A person?" She chuckled softly, moved closer to the chubby boy, gently moved her fan aside to reveal two long, thin fangs, and said with a smile, "Does this mean I can be unreasonable?"

All three of them saw it and were so frightened that they took several steps back before realizing that there was another young man in brocade robes behind them.
