Chapter 3 The Abyss of Passion

"The Dragon King of the East Sea is enraged and has branded you as an accomplice, guilty of murder, and sentenced to life imprisonment." The Dragon Queen felt a sweet, metallic taste in her mouth, but forced herself to swallow it.

Wei Jiao felt as if he had been struck by lightning; his mind went blank, and he could not accept this fact.

“Child, don’t be afraid. They will relax their guard after locking you up for a while. Find time to continue your cultivation. When you reach the level of a true dragon, no, perhaps you will achieve the form of a dragon, then you can be released.” The Dragon Queen held Wei Zi’s hand tightly and said anxiously, “Child, never give up hope. Remember that your father and mother will always be by your side.”

After the guards pulled the dragon away, silence returned, chillingly cold.

Shuoyuan, dressed only in a white robe, walked on the road to the underworld. He had never been to the underworld before. A short underworld official led him, and he followed him blankly step by step into the underworld.

His golden dragon horns were broken off, and his white clothes were stained with blood, making him look extremely disheveled. He swayed as if he might collapse at any moment.

At first, everything around him was pitch black. But as he walked, a winding path formed by yellow fluorescence appeared under his feet. He followed the path, which seemed to have no end. Gradually, some light appeared, and images appeared around him, all of which were his experiences from childhood to adulthood. He was badly injured and his mind was somewhat numb. He looked at these images without expression or pause.

Cultivating immortality is difficult, but escaping the ranks of immortals is equally difficult. He endured thirty-three bolts of heavenly lightning, nearly destroying his body and soul. Yet he persevered. He had given his heart to Chu Ran, but she had died and entered the cycle of reincarnation. He couldn't bring her back; he could only follow her, through heaven and earth, through life and death.

He said he would keep his promise to them.

He continued walking forward, and Wei Jiao appeared in the scene.

He clenched his fist and then released it, shook his head to banish these thoughts, and walked forward without saying a word.

He crossed the River of Oblivion and the Bridge of Helplessness.

He entered the Ghost Capital, and having already been subjected to lightning punishment, he could directly enter reincarnation without trial.

Looking at the Meng Po soup in front of me.

"Without drinking Meng Po's soup, one cannot enter the cycle of reincarnation." Meng Po's voice was calm and devoid of emotion.

He doesn't want to forget, he can't forget.

“Grandma, I must go find my wife. I cannot drink this soup, I cannot forget her.” He spat out a pearl. “Grandma, this is my dragon pearl. Please keep it. I will not cause you any trouble.”

The Dragon Ball is the inner core of an adult dragon, possessing immense spiritual power and emitting a soft glow. Although it is covered in cracks, it is a rare treasure in this dark underworld.

Meng Po didn't even lift her eyelids: "The six realms of reincarnation, the vast world, even if you remember, where will you go to look?" She handed over her bowl, "Your arrival here is your tribulation, your destiny. Whether you can continue your relationship in the future depends on fate. This bead is a good thing, you should keep it for yourself, it might bring you a turning point in the future."

"Besides, if we are destined to meet, we will meet again; if we are not, why force it?"

Shuoyuan took the bowl with a wry smile and drank it all in one gulp.

In this vast world, among all living beings, how many couples have made vows of eternal love and promised to stay together through thick and thin, yet in the end, how many of them can actually keep their promises?

Shuoyuan succeeded; he entered the cycle of reincarnation.

In their first life, he was a fish. She was a goat.

Wei Jiao's injuries, which had not been treated, worsened in the past few days. He also developed a high fever and was in a daze. He was supported by the Dragon Palace guards and, witnessed by the Four Seas Dragon Pearls, was put on trial and imprisoned in the Dragon Clan's prison.

But after the Four Seas Dragon Clan had all left, a group of guards dressed in black armor came and took Wei Jiao away.

No one knows that an ordinary well in the Crystal Palace connects to the deepest abyss in the world.

The Cold Abyss

There are records about it in the mortal world, but they are all false.

The Abyss of Desolation is a place used to punish dragons who have committed serious crimes; no dragon that enters this place ever comes out alive.

The East Sea Dragon Clan has lost their most promising heir, so they don't want Wei Jiao to live; life imprisonment alone is not enough.

So Wei Jiao was thrown down.

No one in this world can describe what the Cold Abyss looks like.

She felt her body sinking continuously, as if falling into a bottomless pit. There was an indescribable sense of oppression all around her, coming from all directions. This gave her a strong sense of crisis and an inexplicable fear, a fear she had never experienced before.

She tried hard to see her surroundings clearly and to float to the surface, but she was unsuccessful.

As time passed, her fear intensified; her heart felt like it was being clenched, and even breathing became extremely difficult.

She forced herself to calm down and spat out the jade box her mother had given her, which she had previously hidden in her stomach. Guided by her senses, she opened the box, and two soft rays of light emanated from it.

Two dragon balls flew out of the jade box and circled around Wei Zi, stopping her from sinking.

Dragon pearls are the most precious treasures of the dragon race, something they cherish as their very life. Only adult dragons possess them; someone like Wei Jiao only has a demon core within her. When a dragon's life comes to an end, the dragon pearls are buried with them. The two dragon pearls before Wei Jiao shone brightly and seemed to be close to her, automatically protecting her and healing her wounds as soon as they appeared.

Wei Jiao covered his mouth, staring at the two dragon balls in disbelief.

Her eyes widened, her nose stung with tears, and her breathing became uncontrollable. Her father and mother had forcibly separated their dragon pearls. No, this couldn't be! They wouldn't live long without the dragon pearls. They had to go back immediately. Her tears were not visible in the water; only the large, bright pearls reflected the brilliance of the dragon pearls as they fell. The dragon-human's tears turned into pearls.

She struggled to swim upwards, but after swimming for a long time, she was still surrounded by darkness. She began to doubt her sense of direction, so she stopped and forced herself to calm down and think of a solution.

But she felt her heart was broken, and her body was becoming increasingly uncontrollable, almost convulsing. She couldn't think of any way out, so she hugged herself, curled up into a ball, and burst into tears. She cried uncontrollably, her tears almost forming a line, as she wanted to release all her grievances, fears, and heartache.

The dragon's cry is very special; the sound can travel a long distance and is very piercing.

But what did she have to worry about? She just hugged herself and cried, completely disregarding her image.

Her mind was in a daze, she didn't know what day it was, she just cried, and when she cried herself to sleep, she would sleep for a while. Her dreams were full of chaotic scenes, and when she woke up she would continue to cry. Sometimes she couldn't feel her own existence, her mind became confused, and she felt completely disoriented.

"Who is disturbing my peaceful sleep?"

The sound, seemingly striking directly into her soul, interrupted Wei Jiao's crying, leaving her dizzy.
