Side Story 1 (Discarded)

Lu Huanhuan hesitated when she walked out of the cave. Deep inside the cave, Feng Luo was sleeping.

She had a high fever for three days and hadn't eaten a single grain of rice. Everyone thought she wouldn't survive, but she woke up on the fourth day, just sitting there blankly, unresponsive to anything they said!

Later, only Lü Huanhuan and Liu Guifang continued to take care of her. But today, she fell asleep, and they finally decided to leave her here.

“Huanhuan, she grew up with us,” Liu Guifang said to Lü Huanhuan. “If she could just respond to you, I wouldn’t have chosen to abandon her!”

After pausing for a moment, she continued, "But even if you take her there now, what good will it do? Would those gods accept someone who is mentally unstable as their disciple? She might be like this for the rest of her life. Who will take care of her?"

Lü Huanhuan wiped away her tears and remained silent.

Finally, Liu Guifang said, "Let's surround this area tightly to prevent wild animals from entering, and leave enough food and weapons. If she wakes up, that would be best; if she doesn't, then it can only be said to be fate."

"Huanhuan, let's go." Liu Guifang came over and took Lü Huanhuan's hand.

The two people left the cave.

The person from Hanwu Palace was the same Senior Brother Zhang from last time. He looked at the people in the open space with considerable surprise. After all, in the past, the number of people who survived had never exceeded three digits.

"You are very lucky to have been selected as candidates," he said with a smile after a brief moment of surprise.

qualifications?

Some people snapped out of their excitement and became somewhat confused.

Before anyone could ask any questions, he explained, "The number of outer sect immortal palace disciples is limited. This time..." He drew out the word, looked around at everyone, and slowly said, "One hundred."

"What! Only one hundred? What about the rest of us?!" The crowd erupted in chaos.

"Am I supposed to stay in this hell forever? No, I don't want to! Please, immortal, take me out of here! I'll do anything you want!"

"Me too, me too, immortal, please save us, we really can't hold on any longer."

For a time, everyone had something to say: some cried, some knelt down and kowtowed, and some tried to reason with them, but none of the people in the sky paid any attention.

After a while, he slowly said, "I heard you say that you can do anything as long as you go out?" He suddenly pointed to a person, a short, thin, dark-skinned boy.

“Yes, yes,” the boy said excitedly after realizing that the fairy was talking to him and that there was a possibility of going out.

"Then kill the woman next to you." He waved his hand, and a dagger appeared in the boy's hand.

The boy stared blankly at him, mechanically turned his head, and looked again at the girl next to him who was clearly terrified; she was his cousin.

"No, no, I..."

The man interrupted him: "Don't you want to go out?"

The boy was still somewhat dazed. Why did the immortal want him to kill his sister? Aren't immortals supposed to be compassionate?

While he was still in a daze, warm blood splattered on his face, and his sister slowly collapsed. That moment seemed to last an incredibly long time. He couldn't hear any sound, and everything in front of him seemed unreal. He couldn't understand how this could have happened.

A slightly older young man standing nearby brandished his weapon and said, "Immortal, I did it! I killed her! Please take me out of here!"

The immortal smiled and nodded, saying encouragingly, "You did very well, but it's not enough. I'll give you a quarter of an hour. When only one hundred people remain here, that's when I'll take you away."

The initial shock, hesitation, and struggle quickly turned into a fierce battle, and it didn't seem to take as long as expected.

As Lü Huanhuan lay in a pool of blood, she vaguely recalled the seal in the cave, and seemed to remember many other things, but she couldn't grasp them all. Her eyes were still open, but they had lost their luster forever.

The people in the open space were in complete chaos.

Inside a stone chamber at Huanling Mountain.

A boy opened his eyes, and the Deer King immediately ordered his men to send a signal to assemble the demon beast army.

He looked at his son with worry. The transition from the seventh to the eighth rank of a demon beast was a calamity. Originally, with his seal, Lu Fei could have held on for a few more months without advancing, but something must have happened during this trip, and he fell into a coma upon returning. When he woke up, he had directly broken through the seventh-rank limitation and reached the eighth rank; he had no time to stop him.

This commotion couldn't be kept secret from the people of Hanwu Palace; it seems the only option is to implement the plan immediately.

He woke the still somewhat dazed Lu Fei and said, "The plan is ahead of schedule. I'll go open the barrier shortly. Don't worry about anything else, just fly eastward at full speed. You'll be safe once you reach White Dragon City. Got it?"

Lu Fei asked, "Father, why the rush?"

The White Deer King looked at him with mixed feelings of joy and worry and said, "Haven't you noticed the changes in yourself yet?"

Lu Fei was a little confused, but then he noticed something unusual. He was now in a complete human form, and the demonic energy within him had been contained, indicating that he had successfully advanced to the next level.

"Father, I have successfully advanced!"

"Yes, I thought it was going to be a disaster for you, but we've had such an unexpected gain. This makes it much easier for you to leave here."

"Father, let's go together. If the two of us join forces, they can't stop us."

“I have a restriction they planted in my body,” the White Deer King said lovingly, stroking his head. “Your father has lived long enough. I hope you will live a healthy and happy life in the future, and then your mother and I can rest in peace.”

"Father, I won't leave! As long as the four of us demon kings unite, we will definitely escape and run far away to the White Dragon City you mentioned!"
