A short while later, Mother Shen brought down a rag doll from upstairs.
“I made this for her. She has always liked it and wants to cuddle it to sleep every night.”
The mother stroked the rag doll tenderly, as if she were seeing her own daughter through it.
The doll is very well preserved; after all these years, there is still no damage.
As Su Miaomiao watched, a wave of tenderness washed over her; the love a mother has for her child always touches the heart.
"Can I use this?"
"Can."
Su Miaomiao took the doll; it was made of soft fabric and felt very comfortable to the touch.
She took out two pieces of yellow paper and handed them to Shen's father and mother respectively.
"Just take a drop of blood from the tip of your left ring finger and put it on a piece of paper."
Shen's father immediately tried to put his finger in his mouth to bite it, but Su Miaomiao stopped him in a flash.
"Uncle Chen, I brought a lancet, so you don't have to bite it with your teeth."
She quickly handed the lancet to the two of them; she had gotten it from her fifth uncle, and it was very convenient to use. She simply placed it on her fingertip and pressed gently, and the blood came out—no need to bite it down.
"Oh, you're so thoughtful."
Father Shen seemed to be used to rough work and didn't think there was anything wrong with his actions.
Following Su Miaomiao's instructions, the two placed the blood from between their ring fingers onto the yellow paper.
Su Miaomiao took back the yellow paper and saw that the aura on it had changed, so she stuck it onto the rag doll.
"Let's start looking for them!"
After Su Miaomiao finished speaking, she was about to count on her fingers.
But just as her fingertips touched the ground and she hadn't even started to recite, a series of hurried footsteps suddenly rushed in.
"Officer, it's this little vixen! Arrest her quickly, or she'll go around deceiving people."
Aunt rushed over with two policemen, her somewhat thick fingers pointing directly at Su Miaomiao.
Judging by her demeanor, it was as if Su Miaomiao had swindled her out of millions.
"Auntie, why did you call the police?"
Shen Mo's sharp eyebrows furrowed tightly, as if he wanted nothing more than to throw the woman in his way out.
"Can I not call the police? If I don't, your parents will be swindled out of everything by this little vixen!"
“Sister, brother-in-law, Shen Mo is young and doesn’t know any better. You can’t let him run wild like this.”
"Sis, what nonsense are you talking about!"
Chen's mother was also startled. After realizing what had happened, she glared reproachfully at her sister, then said to the two policemen:
"Officers, this is a misunderstanding..."
"It's no misunderstanding, officer! My sister has been brainwashed by this vixen; she's a complete liar!"
Su Miaomiao was pointed at again. This time, she didn't hold back and slapped the finger pointing at her aside, saying irritably:
"What did I lie about?"
The police officer also looked at the aunt who had called the police: "What did she lie about?"
"It's a scam! She said she'd help find someone, but she'll definitely charge a lot of money."
Auntie made up an excuse; in any case, she wouldn't let Su Miaomiao look for people, and what happened back then couldn't be known by others.
Police officer: "Ms. Su, did you scam money?"
Su Miaomiao: "I'm helping out voluntarily, without charging a fee."
Police officer: "Well, I'm sorry to have bothered you, goodbye!"
"What do you mean? You're just going to ignore it? She's scamming people, and you're not arresting her? What are you doing?"
Auntie pointed at them and scolded them.
Unfortunately, the police ignored her and left on their own.
Just kidding, there's no way Commander Shen would be fooled!
“Huang Tongling, if you keep causing trouble here, get out of here and never set foot in my house again.”
Suddenly, Mother Shen shouted sternly.
She could understand her older sister's concern that they might be scammed.
But even if you get scammed, so what?
She did it willingly!
She would do anything to find her daughter, even if there was only a sliver of hope!
So when her son came back and told them, she and Lao Shen agreed without hesitation.
"I...I...my sister, I still..."
"Stop saying you care about us. If you really care, shut up and just watch from the sidelines."
Shen's father interrupted Huang Tongling with displeasure. He only wanted to know if he could find his daughter using Su Miaomiao's method.
If they could find him, his Wanyu would probably be about the same age as Su Miaomiao by now!
"I continued."
Su Miaomiao continued counting on her fingers, muttering a mantra under her breath.
"Search!"
As soon as the word was uttered, the rag doll on the table floated up and wobbled towards her aunt.
"Get away! Get away!"
Huang Tongling kept hitting the doll as if she had seen a ghost, trying to knock it off, but the doll always managed to avoid her blows precisely.
"It seems that the last person in your family to have seen Wanyu was her aunt."
Su Miaomiao said.
All eyes of the Shen family fell on Huang Tongling. Shen's mother was a little unsteady on her feet and was supported by Shen Mo.
"You...you said you'd never seen Wanyu? Why is that doll circling around you?"
Huang Tongling was shocked; she would never admit to something like this.
"How would I know why this piece of trash is circling around me? I've never seen Wanyu. It's all that little bitch's slander."
Huang Tongling continued to pat the doll, and when she couldn't hit it, she pounced on Su Miaomiao.
Su Miaomiao easily dodged it, and even tripped her with her leg in the process.
Huang Tongling lost her balance and fell straight down.
“Things in the Xuanmen sect cannot be faked. You must be the last relative to have seen Wanyu. I advise you to tell the truth.”
Su Miaomiao gave a piece of honest advice.
