34. Break through the major defenses

As soon as the school bell rang, the little princess jumped up in front of the little prince: "Hahaha! You can't even memorize such simple words, what are you pretending to be cool for! And what do you mean by turning into a puppet who only knows how to study? You've turned into a wooden puppet who only knows how to daydream and wander off, haven't you? You called me an idiot, but I think you're the idiot, the biggest idiot in the world!"

The young prince gritted his teeth in anger, but the thought that if he were to retort in a fit of rage, he would completely lose his composure.

So he held back, kept a straight face, and didn't say a word, sitting upright in his seat.

"Hey!" After waiting for a while without hearing his rebuttal, the princess couldn't help but wave her hand in front of his eyes. "You haven't really gone crazy from anger, have you?"

Jin Lanyue leaned closer with concern: "Your Highness, the young prince..."

"I am fine," the young prince said, enunciating each word clearly. "Now, please step aside. The puppet needs to study."

After saying that, he walked out with his hands and feet moving in unison, only to trip over the threshold and stumble.

The princess stared in disbelief: "He...he can't be possessed, can he?"

Jin Lanyue looked at the little prince with concern: "Has something happened to him?"

Her chubby little finger pointed to her head.

The little princess nodded firmly: "That should be it!"

"That's terrifying!" The little dumpling covered her face with her hands and said fearfully, "So you can't get angry, or you'll become stupid!"

The little princess pondered, "Do you think this might be contagious?"

"I don't know..." The little dumpling thought for a moment, but couldn't come up with a conclusion. "But the little prince is so pitiful..."

Jin Lanyue jogged after him, but the little prince stopped her in her tracks with a single look: "Keep your distance. Dolls don't need friends."

The little dumpling pouted, looking aggrieved, but then suddenly had a bright idea. She pulled a piece of candy out of her pocket and said, "Then... how about some candy?"

The young prince stared at the amber-colored maltose candy, his Adam's apple bobbing involuntarily.

He abruptly turned his face away: "No, I don't need that!"

But those fleeting eyes were clearly filled with longing.

"Oh..." Jin Lanyue withdrew her hand in disappointment.

The young prince rejected her.

He looks really different now; he's even stopped eating candy.

She lowered her head in disappointment, but her little mind was thinking about how to help the little prince in other ways.

The young prince glanced at her out of the corner of his eye as she slowly peeled the rice paper off the malt candy, his expression haughty.

Hmph, he knew she would come to coax him!

If she begs him again, he'll reluctantly accept the candy she gave him.

However, the next second—

"Then Yue'er can eat it herself..." The little dumpling put the candy in her mouth, her face immediately scrunching up in happiness: "So sweet! So delicious!"

She squinted, completely unaware that the young prince beside her went from shock to disbelief and then to breaking down completely.

"You...you actually ate it?!" the little prince suddenly screamed, his voice trembling. "That was the candy I wanted!"

The little dumpling was so startled that it almost dropped the candy from its mouth.

She blinked her big, bewildered eyes: "But...but you don't need to..."

"That was...that was..." The young prince stomped his feet in anger, forgetting all about his "puppet" persona. "You idiot! We're breaking off our friendship! From now on, we're enemies! Forever!"

The little dumpling still couldn't understand his thought process and looked at him blankly.

"Here we go again." The little princess strolled over leisurely, casually taking a piece of candy from Jin Lanyue's purse. "Ignore him. He always talks about breaking up with us."

"That time was different!" the young prince exclaimed, jumping up and down. "This time it's for real! I swear!"

"That's what they said last time too." The princess rolled her eyes.

The young prince was so angry that his face turned red, and he turned and ran away.

"Ignore him, I'm going back to the palace too, see you tomorrow!" The little princess waved to Jin Lanyue.

"Okay, see you tomorrow." The little dumpling waved back.

She slowly moved out, carrying her small bundle, pondering as she went—why was the little prince angry again?

I don't understand.

The little dumpling sighed.

Boys' thoughts are really hard to guess.

-

On the other hand, even though we've broken off our friendship, we still need to study together.

Wenhua Hall.

Qu Zijin stood before the table with the scroll in his hand, while the three little ones knelt obediently on the prayer mats—at least that's how it appeared on the surface.

"Today we will discuss the 'Wei Zheng' chapter of the Analects." Qu Zijin had just opened the book when he heard a crisp "crack" sound.

Turning my head, I saw the little prince secretly stuffing walnut cookies into his mouth, crumbs falling all over the floor.

Since the last time the young prince lost his temper, his transformation into a dark figure and his transformation into a learning puppet both lasted less than a day, shattering the carefully constructed persona he had just established...

The young prince chose to give up.

Now, the young prince has returned to his former self.

Upon hearing the prince's behavior, the little princess immediately complained: "Grand Tutor! He's stealing food again!"

"I'm just replenishing my energy!" the young prince said matter-of-factly, wiping his mouth. "Unlike some people, who do nothing but complain all day long!"

"Who did you say?!" The princess stood up abruptly.

Qu Zijin rubbed his temples: "Sit down, everyone..."

Before he could finish speaking, the young prince launched another indiscriminate attack: "I'm talking about you! You tattletale! And the Grand Tutor, all you do is show favoritism!"

He glanced at Jin Lanyue one last time: "As for you, all you do is pretend to be innocent and clever!"

The little dumpling pouted, sensing he was about to get a beating.

Sure enough, the little princess pounced on her without saying a word: "You're so mean!"

"Go Princess!" Jin Lanyue cheered, raising her little fist.

"You're ganging up on us!" the young prince shouted as he fought back. "Grand Tutor, do something about this!"

Qu Zijin calmly took a sip of tea: "Didn't Your Highness just say that I was biased?"

Seeing the princess's Nine Yin White Bone Claw about to scratch his face, the young prince panicked and blurted out, "You wicked commoners! You're despicable..."

"Smack!" A soft, plush pillow landed on his face.

Jin Lanyue also joined the battle.

What followed was utter chaos.

finally--

"Enough! What kind of behavior is this?" Qu Zijin finally couldn't stand it anymore and slammed the ruler on the table.

The three of them froze instantly.

The little princess pinned the little prince to the ground, still holding his collar, while Jin Lanyue's small hands were pulling on the little prince's hair crown.

The young prince, who was being "punished," had tears welling up in his eyes.

"You'll have to copy the passage we taught today ten times. Now, immediately, right now."

"Yes..." The three of them returned to their seats dejectedly.

But not long after—

You stepped on my skirt!

"You crossed the line first!"

"Your Highness is naughty!"

Looking at the three little devils wrestling again, Qu Zijin suddenly wished he could travel back in time and firmly refuse when His Majesty entrusted the young prince to his care.

Unfortunately, it's too late now.

but……

When he saw the young prince being chased all over the palace by two little girls, and finally hiding behind him for protection, Qu Zijin couldn't help but smile slightly.

Although it's a bit messy, it seems... alright?

-

Jin Lanyue got up exceptionally early today.

It rained today, and the sky was a bit overcast.

Outside the Wenhua Hall, the Grand Tutor, who usually waited for her, had not yet arrived.

But the little dumpling had already run off into the Wenhua Hall with its short legs.

The rain soaked her embroidered shoes, leaving small wet footprints on the road.

"Huh?" Jin Lanyue tiptoed and pushed open the palace door, only to find an unexpected figure. "The little prince arrived even earlier than me?"

The young prince was crouching furtively under the desk, with a box in front of him.

Hearing the noise, he turned around abruptly and hurriedly closed the lid of the box, but accidentally pinched his own finger.

"Ouch!" the little prince cried out in pain, then glared fiercely at Jin Lanyue, "Who gave you permission to come so early? You're not allowed to come any closer!"

Jin Lanyue was startled by the sudden reprimand and took two steps back, her small mouth pouting: "Your Highness is so fierce..."

"I'm going to yell at you!" the little prince glared at her. "Did you see anything just now?"
