Chapter Thirty-Seven: So What If I Bully You?

"So what if he comes from a good family? He's still trash. Once his family falls into decline, he'll only be able to beg on the streets!" The boy always looked down on these aristocratic scions, and he especially despised people like Lu Ziyin.

"Zhang Xing, you'd better shut up!" another boy said, telling Zhang Xing to stop talking, but his expression showed even more disgust than Zhang Xing's.

On the other side of the playground, on the synthetic track, several boys from Class 10, under Lin Changmao's direction, set up roadblocks on two of the four tracks.

"Brother Mao, the sign is up!" The boy put down the last sign, jumped up and waved to Lin Changmao, who was not far away, and shouted.

Lin Changmao shook his head to indicate that he understood.

"Brother, you're fast, run the first leg. I'll sprint and run the last leg." Lin Changmao handed the baton to Kong Qingfeng, then patted the shoulders of the other two team members and instructed them, "You two, decide how many legs you want to run, then go and stand in your positions. Someone will give us instructions in a bit, so pay attention. Once you get the baton, just run as fast as you can!"

"Got it, Mao-ge!" Both boys are quite athletic and usually play ball with Lin Changmao and the others; they have good teamwork skills.

"Have you finished discussing?" Lu Ziyin asked, stepping forward after the four had finished speaking.

"Okay...okay!" Kong Qingfeng was startled by Lu Ziyin's sudden appearance and quickly took a step back.

When Lin Changmao saw Lu Ziyin arrive, he smiled and said, "I'll be right there, don't rush me..."

Lu Ziyin rolled her eyes at Lin Changmao and remained silent.

He originally came to watch the adorable kids train, but the PE teacher had separated the boys' and girls' training areas! Unable to see the adorable kids, he could only rest on the boys' side, but before he could even sit down, Lin Changmao dragged him over to be his laborer!

Looking at the sun that still carried the lingering heat of summer, Lu Ziyin once again thought that Lin Changmao must have lost his mind to agree to come and blow the whistle for them!

The four people had all arrived at their positions one after another. Lu Ziyin sighed, walked to the first runner's side, glanced at Kong Qingfeng who was shining white in the sunlight, and said coldly, "Get ready..."

"call out--"

"run!"

Although Kong Qingfeng was somewhat afraid of Lu Ziyin, once he was fully focused on the competition, he didn't care so much about who was beside him. As soon as the whistle blew, Kong Qingfeng grabbed the baton and dashed off like an arrow.

Soon, the boy in the second leg started running, and after receiving the baton, he also accelerated and sprinted off.

The third and fourth runners watched as Lin Changmao crossed the finish line.

"How long did it take?" Lin Changmao rushed to the squad leader who was keeping time as soon as he finished running and asked anxiously.

Huang Jiji glanced at the stopwatch and said, "3 minutes 47.28 seconds."

Too slow!

Upon hearing the time announcement, Lin Changmao knew their performance was subpar; it was too slow!

"How did it go? What were the scores?" Kong Qingfeng and the others also arrived at the finish line and anxiously asked, "How was the time?"

“3 minutes and 47.28 seconds, the sports committee thinks it’s not very good…” Huang Jiji showed the stopwatch to the boys, then looked at Lin Changmao’s expression and whispered.

"Isn't this score good?" The two boys who ran the middle leg were a little surprised. This result was already pretty good, and they weren't athletes by profession!

Kong Qingfeng also felt that the score was acceptable, but Lin Changmao wouldn't budge, so he didn't say anything.

"Hey! What are you doing!" Huang Jiji awkwardly adjusted his glasses, and as soon as he looked up, he saw that the roadblock sign that their class had set up had been kicked over by a few people not far away.

Lu Ziyin was preparing to walk towards the finish line, but from a distance she saw a few people from Class 1 come to their side and kick down the roadblock sign on the track.

"Hey! What are you doing!" Lin Changmao and his friends immediately ran to the roadblock sign, looking at the boys in front of them with an unfriendly tone.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was just passing by and didn't notice this sign on the road. I accidentally knocked it over!" Zhang Xing said helplessly, looking at the sign lying on the side.

"Sigh... There's nothing we can do about it. Who told this sign to be placed in the middle of the road for no reason!" The boy next to Zhang Xing said with a very "regretful" expression.

Hearing what the two said, Lin Changmao was furious and clenched his fists, instinctively wanting to step forward.

"The sign is so big, how can you not see it? Are you blind?" Lu Ziyin slowly walked up behind Lin Changmao and the others, glanced at Zhang Xing a few times, and said coldly.

"You!" Zhang Xing was furious at Lu Ziyin's gaze and was about to lash out when Song Xingjie pulled him back.

"These road signs were given to us by our PE teacher for athletes to train on. The track is so big, and we've only used 400 meters of it. You've kicked away the signs the teacher gave us, which is considered vandalism. I think the school rules say something about how many points are deducted for vandalism?" Huang Jiji adjusted his glasses, stepped forward, and looked at Song Xingjie, speaking in a serious tone.

They are all class monitors from their respective classes. I've met them in meetings. Song Xingjie must know the seriousness of damaging public property!

Sure enough, when it came to deducting points, Song Xingjie and the others' expressions changed.

“Deduct…deduct five…points!” Kong Qingfeng stammered, interrupting.

"You! Don't push your luck!" Zhang Xing broke free from Song Xingjie's grip, stepped forward, and glared at Huang Jiji, sweat beading on his forehead from anger.

"This is going too far!" Lu Ziyin gently pulled Huang Jiji away, placed her right hand on Zhang Xing's shoulder, and slowly applied pressure: "So what if I bully you? Do you even dare to fight back?"
