Chapter 119 Becoming the Target of Public Criticism

Chapter 119 Becoming the Target of Public Criticism

Jiang Yuan was transferred back to the Finance Department three days ago.

The removal of Yang Ming, director of the Finance Department, and subsequent dismissal of two senior employees were a major shock. Jiang Yuan, who was at the center of this storm, was isolated again upon returning to the Finance Department.

To be precise, it is not being isolated, but being ignored and avoided.

Yang Ming has deep roots in the Finance Department. Many people in the Finance Department respect him, not because of his outstanding leadership skills, but because he is used to "sharing candy" to his subordinates. With him around, this group of people in the Finance Department can receive different degrees of benefits.

Of course, this was also a way for him to win people's hearts. After he was removed, everyone did not dare to vent their dissatisfaction to the company's management, but directed all the resentment towards Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Yuan has long been accustomed to being alone. After all, she doesn't come to work to make friends, and she doesn't have the energy or leisure to do so.

She had just arrived at the Finance Department and the office was empty. Today was Monday, but no one was at their workstations.

The Finance Department and the Human Resources Department were on the same floor. She ran to the Human Resources Department to ask, then immediately trotted to the elevator to take a look. The elevator took a while to come up, so she pushed open the security door and climbed five flights of stairs before reaching the door of the conference room.

At this moment, inside the transparent glass windows, the entire conference room was filled with people from the Finance Department.

Jiang Yuan covered her chest and gasped, saying, "I'm sorry, I'm late. I didn't know..."

Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by a crisp female voice coming from the main seat at the conference table: "If you arrive within ten minutes of the meeting starting, you will be considered late. If you arrive more than half an hour later, it will be considered an unexcused absence. Please go out and don't disturb everyone's time."

The woman who was speaking had neat short hair that just reached her shoulders and wore slightly exaggerated earrings. When she turned her head, the shiny earrings swayed twice, stirring the air.

The facial features were not very clear under the delicate makeup, but at first glance, she was very beautiful and sharp, with a strong aura and a cold tone.

Jiang Yuan stood at the door and stared at the seat where the woman was sitting. After a brief moment of confusion, she realized that she was probably the candidate for the Director of Finance that Yin Dong had mentioned.

She took a deep breath and apologized again: "I'm really sorry, I took half a day off this morning and didn't receive advance notice to go to work in the afternoon."

"What dynasty did you live in? How could information be so blocked? From now on, do I need my assistant to personally inform you of every meeting?"

The woman spoke quietly but was very angry.

The new director of the Finance Department had just arrived in the morning, and a meeting was held half an hour earlier in the afternoon. The director's assistant came to inform them verbally in the morning, and later the notice was sent to the Finance Department's work group. Everyone in the Finance Department knew about it, but no one notified Jiang Yuan, and Jiang Yuan had not been added to the Finance Department's work group.

The entire conference room was silent at this moment, and more than 20 people from the Finance Department stared at her in unison.

Most of those looks were malicious, and they looked at her as if she were a joke.

Jiang Yuan stood at the door of the conference room, her face burning. After a brief silence, she spoke again: "I'm sorry, there won't be a next time."

The woman turned her head away and ignored her. Jiang Yuan stood at the door in a dilemma. After a brief consideration, she crouched down and walked into the meeting room. She found an empty chair in the corner of the last row, pulled it over and sat down quietly.

Today's meeting was called by the new director to meet with everyone and, secondly, to obviously reorganize the finance department.

The new director made many harsh demands at the meeting. Everyone was angry but dared not say anything, and just exchanged glances with each other.

A few people sitting in the back row were chirping quietly.

"Small companies produce weekly reports, but for a group like ours, who's ever heard of producing financial statements once a week? What a workload! Are they going to tire us out? Are they going to run over our corpses to collect medals from the higher-ups?"

"She's from Hong Kong. Don't they treat their employees as human beings over there?"

“We will have hard times in the future.”

"Oh, I miss Mr. Yang so much."

When the man said this, several people around him turned their heads and rolled their eyes at Jiang Yuan, who was sitting in the back row. Jiang Yuan had a calm expression and did not look away.

She arrived late and didn't hear the director's self-introduction, but she could guess that she must be someone important.
