Chapter 138 "The traitor!"
What Yin Dong asked Zhou Zhi to investigate for more than ten days, Yin Zhengxian only took one night. No wonder, Yin Zhengxian was originally in the public security, procuratorial and judicial system, so investigating a person would only take minutes.
Seeing Yin Dong's gloomy face, Sun Mei changed her tone and said seriously, "Even if you look down on Jiang Yu, we won't force you. Even if we have a falling out with the Jiang family, we will accept it. You want to play, you can find any girl you want, but you chose the daughter of a murderer. Aren't you deliberately trying to piss us off?"
"Luckily, you haven't been with this girl for long. Cut it off quickly. I heard you still have her working in your company? Fire her immediately. If she wants money, give it to her. Get rid of her as soon as possible."
Yin Dong pushed the bowl of black chicken soup in front of him, stood up, and said in a neutral voice, "That's easy for you to say. Why don't you go and try and see if you can get her to pay you?"
Sun Mei was stunned for a moment, then exchanged glances with Yin Zhengxian. She looked up at Yin Dong and said, "Don't be so conceited. You don't really think she's following you for no fame or fortune? If not for those, is she after your bad face and bad temper? If not for anything, is she just going to great lengths to stick to you?"
Yin Dong had already started walking, and as he walked he raised his voice, "Go and ask her what she likes about your son."
Sun Mei was so angry that her face turned green. "You're leaving now? You haven't even had your soup."
Yin Zhengxian: "Treason!"
Yin Dong had already walked out of the main hall without even looking back.
Coming out of the main gate, he glanced at the newly opened Gabriel cigarettes and picked them up casually.
The driver, Lao Zhang, was still waiting in the car to finish his last shift. When he saw Yin Dong coming out, he hurriedly opened the car door for him.
The car started moving again. Lao Zhang looked at his expression in the rearview mirror and asked cautiously, "Did the old man give you any trouble?"
Yin Dong lowered his head and occasionally pulled at the thorns on the flower branch. He said calmly, "He hit me. Do you dare to hit him back for me?"
Old Zhang was terrified. "Young Master, please stop joking. How could this old man bear to fight with you? If I had a son as outstanding as you, I would have to visit my ancestors' graves every day to pay my respects."
Yin Dong curled his lips and smiled, then raised his eyes and asked, "Do you want to interfere if your son has a girlfriend?"
Lao Zhang paused for a moment, then continued, "I don't even know if he has a girlfriend outside. Anyway, he's a boy, how can he be bullied by a girl? As long as he doesn't get pregnant and do something bad, there's nothing else I can do."
He paused suddenly, then changed the subject, "However, every family's situation is different. As the saying goes, a parent's love for their child is a far-sighted plan. Your status is special, and the old man has to be doubly wary of those close to you. Please don't get angry with your family."
Yin Dong lowered his eyes and his expression turned a little colder. Lao Zhang shut his mouth and dared not say anything more.
"What do you think of Jiang Yuan?"
He suddenly asked this out loud. Old Zhang was stunned for several seconds before he tentatively replied, "I think this girl is nice. There's nothing wrong with her. She's quite attractive, but she's a bit stubborn. But girls like this are straightforward and don't have those cunning tricks that you see in other places."
As he spoke, he looked at Yin Dong's expression in the rearview mirror. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his face looked a little better.
"Lao Zhang, if you want to keep working for me, remember this: from now on, everything you see and hear in this car, you have to keep to yourself. If there's a next time..."
"No, don't worry, you treat me as your own, I know what to do."
When Yin Dong returned home, a night light was still on in the living room. He walked lightly into the bedroom. Dim light shone through the crack in the door. He pushed the door open gently, and the sweet warmth of the bedroom instantly enveloped him.
Jiang Yuan was leaning against the headboard, flipping through a book in her hand. She looked up at him after hearing the voice and stared at him for two seconds. Her clear eyes suddenly lit up, "It's so late, and there's still a flower shop open?"
