Chapter 143: Little Bastard
"If that's the case, why are you treating it like a formidable enemy?"
Jiang Yuan asked back, and Sun Mei's face obviously stiffened.
Jiang Yuan continued indifferently, "Actually, you're right. He doesn't necessarily like me that much right now. He's just looking for something new. I was the one who took the initiative to pursue him, and he couldn't resist, so he accepted me. I'm not his type of person. When he meets a girl he really wants to pursue in the future, I'll leave him. So, you don't have to worry at all now."
She paused for a moment, then added, "Besides, strong pressure can easily breed rebellion. If you push him too hard now, he might get carried away and drag me to get the marriage certificate. What will you do then?"
Sun Mei was frightened by Jiang Yuan's casual assumption. Yin Dong had been unruly and difficult to tame since he was a child, and had done countless rebellious things. This was largely due to Yin Zhengxian's overly strict and harsh discipline of him.
Sun Mei felt more and more that Jiang Yuan's words made some sense, and she was indeed very different from what Sun Mei had imagined. She was more insightful than her age, but although she was very rational, she was willing to be stupid and silly.
"Is the trial over? Can we finally let it go?"
A familiar deep male voice came from behind Jiang Yuan. Jiang Yuan turned her head quickly and, as expected, ran into the face she had imagined.
Yin Dong was sitting on the chair behind Jiang Yuan. Jiang Yuan was surprised that she didn't notice it at all.
He arrived shortly after Jiang Yuan sat down. Although his back was facing them, he heard every word of their conversation.
"You're not the one who interrogates prisoners this way. You said you wouldn't curse. Did you count how many times you cursed her? She didn't talk back to you because she was well-mannered, not because she was bad-tempered. Please move on, we need to eat."
Yin Dong turned his face away from Sun Mei.
Sun Mei was so angry that she was stunned. No matter how reckless Yin Dong was, he had never treated her like this before. This was a clear way of telling her to get out.
Sun Mei was stunned for two seconds, then her voice trembled with anger: "Little bastard, how could I give birth to such a bastard like you! How dare you talk to me like that..."
"If you don't leave, we'll go. You can eat slowly."
Yin Dong took Jiang Yuan's arm and walked straight out of the restaurant.
Jiang Yuan could still vaguely hear his mother still scolding him behind his back.
His palms were broad and powerful, and Jiang Yuan's arms were tightly gripped by him. The force was tough, overbearing, and even carried a hint of resentment.
Jiang Yuan walked while thinking about what she had said. It was not too excessive. She didn't understand why he was angry.
"Slow down, I can't keep up with you."
Jiang Yuan was dragging her body behind him, trying to get him to stop, but he ignored her until he stuffed her into the car and the door slammed shut. He then coldly ordered Lao Zhang: "Go home."
You could hear a pin drop in the car. Jiang Yuan first tried to break the silence, "When did you arrive?"
His face was stern, his jawline tense. Perhaps he didn't want to say it in the car, but he couldn't help it and said aloud: "You go out without a mouth? Let someone point at your nose and scold you, and you won't talk back?"
When the word "shameless" came out of Sun Mei's mouth, he almost couldn't help but stand up. He thought that with her stubborn temper, she would not suffer any loss at the hands of his mother, but who knew that she sat there like a mute and let her mother scold her for a long time.
Jiang Yuan didn't expect that this was what made him angry. Her long eyelashes fluttered a few times and she blinked at him. "It was me who was so ignorant that I had to pester you. It's not wrong for Auntie to scold me like that."
He looked at her gloomily for a long time, then his eyes moved. He raised his hand and lifted her chin: "Do you like me so much that you don't even care about your dignity?"
