Chapter 208: Enemies Meet on a Narrow Road
After being discharged from the hospital, Jiang Yuan kept sending out resumes and participated in many interviews. Because of her background in a prestigious university and the endorsement of a large company like Dongjin, she quickly chose a product manager position at a well-known financial investment company in the industry from among many offers.
The corporate culture of the new company is relatively relaxed. The investment team she is in consists of about ten people. Except for the director, most of them are young people, and several are alumni of Beicheng University. Jiang Yuan integrated into the team quickly. On her first day at work, the director suggested an evening party to welcome the new members.
After the dinner, everyone was still not satisfied and went to the bar. Jiang Yuan followed everyone to the door of the bar and found out that they were going to Tang Ting. She had been here before and knew that the bar owner was Liang Zhouheng.
She was standing behind the group, and a colleague turned and called out to her, "Why aren't you leaving?"
Jiang Yuan really wanted to turn around and leave, but tonight's game was set up because of her, and there was no reason for her to withdraw halfway.
Yin Dong didn't like drinking very much, so the chance of meeting him here was very slim. She followed everyone in, but her heart began to tighten the moment she stepped into the bar.
A large group of people walked and joked as they entered a VIP room. One male colleague joked, "Director Wang, you really are spending a lot of money tonight! I remember when I first joined, you didn't give me a proper welcome ceremony."
A female colleague chimed in, "Which school are you from? Which school is Jiang Yuan from? Are you prettier than her?"
Jiang Yuan smiled and added, "Don't mention it, he's more handsome than me."
The male colleague laughed so hard that his mouth reached his ears.
Several male colleagues simultaneously murmured in dissatisfaction, "Jiang Yuan, I advise you not to be too kind. You'll easily be bullied."
Jiang Yuan smiled, said nothing, and followed the others into the box.
As soon as one foot stepped into the door of the box, someone suddenly patted one shoulder from behind, "Beauty"
Jiang Yuan's body subconsciously resisted and she turned her head reflexively. She was facing a man with a face full of flesh. The man was wearing a leather jacket and had a signature bald head. Her whole body tensed up at once and her memories instantly pulled her back to a certain scene. The person in front of her was Qin Bao.
"Oh, it's really you."
Qin Bao's hand on her shoulder became noticeably stronger. Jiang Yuan tried to shake it off, but failed. Her blood flow instantly accelerated, and the hairs on her body stood up. She asked in a vigilant voice, "What do you want to do?"
People were coming and going in the corridor, and service staff were shuttling back and forth. Jiang Yuan felt a little relieved and raised his voice so that everyone in the corridor could hear it.
Her voice attracted everyone's attention. Qin Bao's eyes darted left and right, and he raised his hand to pat her shoulder twice. The fierce look on his face was immediately retracted. He lowered his voice and said, "Nothing, why are you so nervous? It's been so long since we last met, and I miss you so much. Come on, go to the box over there and have a drink with me."
Jiang Yuan shook off the fat hand on her shoulder and said sternly, "Don't touch me!"
The colleagues who had entered before Jiang Yuan noticed something was amiss and turned around. Several male colleagues came over and asked Jiang Yuan, "What's going on? Is he harassing you?" while sizing up Qin Bao.
Qin Bao glanced at several young colleagues and grinned in a sinister way, "I harassed her, what's wrong?"
