Chapter 211: Jackals, Tigers, and Leopards

Chapter 211: Jackals, Tigers, and Leopards

Jiang Yuan and Lin Ye waited for ten minutes but couldn't get a taxi. They were discussing whether to cancel the order and go take the subway separately when two black commercial vehicles suddenly braked and stopped in front of them.

Accompanied by the sharp sound of car tires rubbing against the ground, the front and rear doors of the leading car opened at the same time, and several burly men in black quickly jumped out of the car and ran straight towards Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Yuan instinctively stepped back, turned around and ran into the bar. Lin Ye, who was beside her, reacted a little slowly and immediately followed Jiang Yuan.

The six or seven men behind him immediately rushed over and chased after him.

Jiang Yuan rushed into the bar and quickly passed through the crowd of people twisting and turning on the stage. Fortunately, the hall was dimly lit and she quickly avoided the sight of those people.

Her heart almost jumped out of her throat. She found a darker corner farther away from the bar, hid there temporarily, and turned to look for Lin Ye's whereabouts.

Although those people wanted to arrest her, she was worried that Lin Ye would be implicated by her for no reason.

She didn't notice Lin Ye, but when she turned her head, she happened to see the men in black pushing through the crowd and approaching her.

Jiang Yuan suppressed the violent shaking of her body and checked the location of the elevator.

The ceiling lights kept flashing with the rhythm of the music, changing direction at any time. Before the light came towards this side, Jiang Yuan quickly ran to the opposite side to avoid it, and then accelerated to the elevator entrance.

Her fingers trembled as she tapped the elevator buttons quickly. The digital lights on the top of the elevator dropped down layer by layer in an orderly manner. This bar had seven floors, each with different entertainment functions and areas. It was said that there were suites on the top floor for guests to stay. Jiang Yuan stared at the slowly changing floor numbers while constantly staring at the direction of the crowd in the hall.

Her face was pale and her breathing was rapid. She knew that if she fell into the hands of these people tonight, she would be finished. They were here to take revenge on her. These people didn't even take the police seriously. They were a gang of jackals and tigers. She would be torn to pieces.

The light at the elevator door was bright and clear. There were only three or two people standing next to her waiting for the elevator. Once the group rushed over, they would be able to see her at a glance.

Jiang Yuan's chest heaved violently and his whole body trembled uncontrollably.

The elevator descended floor by floor, and finally the number "1" lit up at the top. The elevator door slowly opened, and the moment the door opened, Jiang Yuan jumped in.

She lowered her head, shrunk her neck, gasped for breath, and bumped head-on into a solid chest.

Suddenly, she smelled a familiar scent of pine resin at the tip of her nose. Her breathing stopped and her pounding heart seemed to stop at that moment. She was stunned for a moment, and when she looked up, her panicked gaze met a pair of sharp and cold eyes.

Their eyes met for a moment, and his face turned pale. Compared with the ups and downs in her eyes, his eyes were indifferent.

Her pale face suddenly froze at that moment, and his words flashed through her mind, "I thought I ate a piece of cake, but it turned out to be a mouthful of flies." She almost jumped away from him reflexively.

"You're running so fast, are there wolves chasing you?"

Liang Zhouheng's voice rang in her ears. Jiang Yuan looked at him silently. She didn't know if she was hurt by the collision, but her nose felt sore and she automatically retreated to the innermost corner of the elevator.

There were indeed jackals, tigers and leopards behind her, but even if she was torn to pieces, she would not ask them for help. It was not because she was stubborn, but because she knew that even if she risked her face to beg them, they would not care about the life or death of a fly.
