Chapter 324 She's Finally Here
Liang Zhouheng kept his word. In front of Yin Dong, he picked up his phone and sent a voice message to Jiang Yuan, "Didn't you ask me for it? I'll give you a chance to ask for it in person. I'm waiting for you in the president's office on the 18th floor of Dongjin. I'll give you half an hour to come over."
Yin Dong threw away his coat and strode towards Liang Zhouheng, reaching out to grab the phone. Just as he was about to click to withdraw the message, Jiang Yuan had already replied "OK."
Yin Dong glanced at the time on his phone. It was already half past twelve. He took a deep breath, raised his phone, and pressed the voice button to speak: "He had a seizure in the middle of the night. Don't come over."
After sending the message, several seconds passed before he saw her reply, "It's okay, I'll take a taxi and talk to him clearly."
Yin Dong paused and put the phone back on the table.
Liang Zhouheng glanced at his phone screen, a triumphant smile on his face. "She'll probably be here soon. I've created the opportunity for you. You should seize it and coax her over. First, coax her to come to your side. I'll leave first to make room for you two."
Before leaving, he exaggeratedly glanced at the door of the suite inside the office.
The office door closed, and the huge space suddenly became quiet.
Yin Dong glanced towards the window, hesitated briefly, walked over a few steps, and opened all the windows.
After a while, there were three knocks on the office door and Zhou Zhi pushed it open and walked in.
"Mr. Yin, can we go now? I'll have the driver drive the car downstairs right now."
Yin Dong turned around and glanced at him, "Don't leave yet."
Zhou Zhi was stunned for a moment. The meeting was over and Mr. Liang had left. Could there be something else?
Yin Dong turned and glanced out the window. "Jiang Yuan will be here soon. Tell the security downstairs."
Outside the window, the night was cold and quiet. On the four-lane, two-way Financial Street downstairs, only solitary vehicles flashed by in front of the eyes. The office buildings standing opposite were completely dark, with only a few lights.
Zhou Zhi looked at Yin Dong's back standing by the window. He was even more excited than Yin Dong in his heart, thinking that the person he had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Zhou Zhi was so excited that he almost rubbed his hands together. "Then I'll go downstairs to pick her up? Do I need to prepare some midnight snacks or something?"
Yin Dong turned his head and glanced at him, then ordered in a deep voice, "You can leave work first. Let Lao Zhang go back as well. Leave the car keys behind."
"Okay, okay, I'm fine. If you need anything, feel free to call me."
Zhou Zhiyi was so excited that he seemed to be particularly talkative, and there was an unconcealable festive look on his face.
Yin Dong raised his eyes and glanced at his face, "Are you not leaving yet?"
"Okay, let's go." Zhou Zhi turned around quickly and closed the door in one go.
Yin Dong turned around, and the cool night wind blew on his face. He closed his eyes slightly and looked down at the wide and quiet street downstairs.
Twenty minutes later, there was another knock on the office door.
Yin Dong strode towards the desk, sat down in the boss chair again, and cast his eyes towards the door. "Come in."
Jiang Yuan took a deep breath and stepped inside.
The office was unusually quiet. The moment Jiang Yuan's eyes met Yin Dong's, her breathing stopped and something in her heart was churning.
She forced herself to steady her voice and tone, "I'm here to see Mr. Liang."
Yin Dong's eyes moved back and forth between her, then he looked away and said calmly, "He went back first because of something."
Jiang Yuan's expression changed immediately. She clearly felt she had been tricked. Her brows fell, and she spoke in a controlled tone, "He deliberately tricked me into coming here?"
