Chapter 666: "Your eyesight is quite good."
The two talked for a while, and the passenger door and the driver's door opened almost at the same time. The man in the driver's seat got out of the car and walked around the front of the car very gentlemanly, wanting to help her open the door, but Zhang Xiaoya had already gotten out of the car at this time.
She took two steps toward the car and said something to the man again. Kuang Ye was sitting in the car three meters away and couldn't hear anything, but judging from her lip movements, she should have said, "Thank you for taking me home."
The man seemed a little reluctant to leave, so he moved closer to Zhang Xiaoya, lowered his head and said something to her, then turned around and got into the car with a faint smile on his face.
Kuang Ye's eyes fell on Zhang Xiaoya. She didn't turn around and go upstairs, but stood on the side of the road, waving her hands and watching the man back the car out of the narrow road in front of the building.
Kuang Ye watched the scene in front of him with an expressionless face. He could roughly guess the relationship between the two. They were probably colleagues in the same department. After working overtime, the man would send her home whether it was on his way or not.
He just accidentally saw another side of her, what she was like when she was with other opposite sex or suitors.
It turns out that she is not born without a smile, nor is she cold and heartless to everyone.
He pursued her relentlessly, but it seemed that he was treated worse than one of her colleagues.
Kuang Ye didn't know if it was because he had been waiting here for too long, or because he had just seen what happened, or because he was already irritable, but he suddenly felt tired and was too lazy to even get off the car.
Unexpectedly, Zhang Xiaoya had already turned around and entered the stairwell, but came back after a few seconds. She turned her head and looked in the direction of his car.
The street lights are not very bright, but if you look carefully, you can still make out the people sitting in the car.
Seeing that she was walking towards him, Kuang Ye had no choice but to open the car door and get out.
He swung his long legs and smiled at her, "You have a good eye."
Zhang Xiaoya didn't smile. "Why did you come here suddenly? How long have you been waiting?"
Kuang Ye said slowly: "I had dinner nearby tonight and stopped by to try my luck. I didn't expect to run into him."
"Did you just get off work? Or is it so late?"
Zhang Xiaoya nodded. "I've been busy lately."
Kuang Ye replied: "I have no free time these two days."
Zhang Xiaoya looked up at him, as if she didn't know what to say.
"I'm fine. You must be tired after a day's work. Go up. I'll see you another day when I'm free."
Kuang Ye leaned against the front of the car with his hands in his pockets.
Zhang Xiaoya was a little surprised that he didn't pester her to chat for longer.
He came here specifically to wait for her to get off work, was it just to take a look?
It was impossible for her to invite him to sit upstairs, but the two of them were standing there doing nothing, and she didn't know what topic to bring up. In a hurry, she asked, "What are you busy with recently?"
Kuang Ye raised an eyebrow and looked at her, "Busy as hell, unlike you white-collar workers who follow the routine every day."
He was talking about "you guys".
Who else was he referring to besides her?
Zhang Xiaoya was a little slow in emotions, but she felt that something was wrong with him tonight. Especially compared with the intimacy he had expressed in his words and deeds in the previous times, he seemed to be intentionally distancing himself from her.
She boldly guessed that he must have seen her getting out of someone else's car and misunderstood her.
After a moment of silence, she said, "You're talking nonsense. I've been working overtime until this hour, and the subway has stopped running. If my colleague hadn't brought me here, I would have had to live in the company. If it were you who was doing this routine, would you like it?"
