Chapter 869: Stay Away from My Wife
Ji Chuan sat in the car, watching Xu Hui walk into the school gate, looking back every few steps. He picked up his cell phone and dialed a number.
The call was connected, and a young man's formal voice came from the other end, "Lawyer Ji, are you looking for the minister?"
Ji Chuan simply responded, "Yeah."
"Oh, there's someone in Minister Ji's office right now, but it should be quick... Well, I'll go in and report to Minister Ji. Don't hang up, just a moment, it'll be quick."
Secretary Wang on the other end of the phone was obviously very nervous, as if he was afraid of saying a wrong word and hanging up this hard-earned call.
After saying that, Secretary Wang, holding his cell phone in his hand, hurried to the door of the minister's office, knocked a few times, and then pushed the door open and walked in. The two people who were talking inside were interrupted. Ji Qingming raised his eyelids and looked at him seriously.

Secretary Wang walked over to Ji Qingming and whispered in his ear, "Lawyer Ji called you."
After saying that, he spread out his hands and let Ji Qingming look at the lit phone screen.
The middle-aged man sitting opposite stared at Ji Qingming with puzzled eyes. He noticed that when Ji Qingming saw the mobile phone in the secretary's hand, his expression changed drastically.
There are probably not many people who can make Ji Qingming so frightened. He judged that the person who called was definitely not an ordinary person. Seeing this, the person immediately stood up, made a simple gesture to Ji Qingming, and left on his own accord.
The office door closed, and Ji Qingming took the phone from his secretary. He stared at the screen for a few seconds, then put the phone to his ear and said calmly, "Ji Chuan."
Ji Chuan had both hands on the steering wheel, the car had already merged into the traffic flow, a faint sound came from the mobile phone thrown on the passenger seat, and his eyes darkened obviously.
Ji Qingming waited for a few seconds, then glanced at his phone screen to confirm that the call was still connected. He spoke again, "Ji Chuan, you called. What's the matter?"
The phone was not in speakerphone mode, so the sound coming from it seemed faint and ethereal, as if adding another layer of physical isolation between the two parties on the call. Ji Chuan's eyes fell on the front of the steering wheel, and he didn't even move, as if he had completely blocked out the sound.
Ji Qingming couldn't hear any movement from the other end of the phone, and his heart sank. He waved to the secretary who was waiting on the side. Seeing this, the secretary immediately turned around and left.
Ji Qingming looked at the closed door and spoke again into the silent phone, "You're calling because of your girlfriend, right? Did she tell you everything?"
Ji Chuan braked and pulled over to the side of the road. He glanced at his phone, his Adam's apple moving slightly as he said indifferently, "Stay away from my wife and take your hands off her family. If you touch them, I guarantee you won't just lose your hands."
On the other end of the phone, Ji Qingming's eyelids twitched, and then he moved the phone away from his ear. He tried his best to maintain a steady tone, "Have you registered at the Civil Affairs Bureau?"
