Chapter 724 "Are you hungry now?"
After the trial, Ji Chuan walked out of the court and called Xu Hui as he walked.
The other party picked up the call quickly.
Xu Hui: "Are you done there?"
Ji Chuan got into the car, leaned back in the driver's seat, and said calmly, "It's just over. I'll come find you."
Xu Hui: "Are you tired?"
"I'm not tired. Are you guys at home? Didn't you take Xu Yan out for a walk?"
Ji Chuan started the car while speaking.
"Don't come over here," Xu Hui paused, then lowered his voice and said, "I want to go to your place tonight."
After she finished speaking, there was no sound from the other side for a while. She tried to say it in a joking tone: "Could it be that your home is inconvenient and there are others there?"
"convenient."
Ji Chuan's voice became much deeper, and then he thought of something and asked, "Is it appropriate to leave Xu Yan alone at home?"
Xu Hui teased him intentionally: "You're really thoughtful. Otherwise, forget it."
Ji Chuan frowned, regretting his decision. "Is it too late for me to take back what I said?"
Xu Hui suppressed his laughter on the other end of the phone and whispered, "I'm in a taxi. I'll be there in twenty minutes."
Ji Chuan's heart was pounding, but he said calmly, "I'll be home in ten minutes."
After hanging up the phone, Ji Chuan stepped on the accelerator to the bottom.
Five minutes later, Ji Chuan parked the car steadily in the underground garage and strode into the elevator.
Xu Hui was standing at the door of Ji Chuan's house, carrying two large bags of cooking ingredients. Just as he was about to free his hands to press the doorbell, the door opened from the inside.
Xu Hui looked surprised: "You want to go out?"
"I wanted to come out to look for you, but I haven't been here for so long, and I was worried you might mistake your home again."
As Ji Chuan spoke, he naturally took the thing from her hand.
Xu Hui smiled, guessing that he was just waiting impatiently. "I bought some things at the fresh food supermarket at the entrance of the community and was delayed for a while. How about having dinner at home? I'll make it."
She said she would be there in twenty minutes, so he waited for her on time. Half an hour had passed, and she still hadn't shown up. He became anxious and decided to go out and wait at the gate of the community.
Of course he was more than happy to do so, and he quickly said, "I'll help you."
Xu Hui changed into slippers and followed him into the kitchen. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt and loose gray home pants. He looked very fresh and exuded a faint scent of tea. That was the scent of the shower gel she had picked for him. He must have just taken a shower.
He put the things on the kitchen counter. Xu Hui had already come behind him. He was tall and broad-shouldered. The material of his white T-shirt was very thin and could not hide his perfect skeleton and solid muscles.
Xu Hui took a deep breath, tentatively stretched his arms across his waist, then moved closer to his broad back, carefully clasping his hands together.
His body visibly stiffened for a moment, but he endured it and didn't move. He asked softly, "What happened today?"
She seldom takes the initiative. The most she would do is give him a goodbye kiss whenever they part.
Every time he wanted to get closer to her, her body would subconsciously show rejection, and even if she concealed it well, he could feel it keenly.
So, he restrained himself and waited for her to open herself to him completely.
Ji Chuan: "What happened today?"
Xu Hui slowly leaned his head against his back and asked, "Are you hungry now?"
Ji Chuan's ears felt numb and his throat started to feel dry. He was not sure what kind of hunger she was talking about.
