Chapter 14 The Real Island

Lu Xuan slept until dawn, and it seemed that he had a similar dream to the night before.

When she woke up, Chen Keyin was already up and checking her clothes that were hanging out to dry and tidying up the cave.

Although there is still a shortage of daily necessities at the moment, there are still quite a few miscellaneous items.

Lu Xuan had not expected that Shen Keyin was such an excellent housekeeper. Looking around, he saw that the originally messy cave had been neatly tidied up by her. All kinds of supplies were classified and placed in categories, and even the shirts that Lu Xuan had found from the shipwreck were neatly folded and placed in the corner.

It seems that this "home" really can't do without a woman.

Lu Xuan was quite satisfied and caught several big fish early in the morning.

After eating and drinking to his heart's content, he even left two fish for Shen Keyin. He then pocketed a Swiss Army knife, two compressed biscuits, and a bottle of water and prepared to set off.

Seeing that Lu Xuan was about to leave, Shen Keyin seemed very reluctant to let him go and gave him some instructions with concern.

"Try to come back soon."

Lu Xuan patted Shen Keyin's shoulders like an older brother.

"Don't worry, just stay here. I've left the lighter with you."

Only after seeing Lu Xuan's back completely disappear in front of her did Shen Keyin reluctantly return to the cave, and then began to dig the soil and chop bamboo according to Lu Xuan's instructions yesterday.

Lu Xuan is traveling by land today. Firstly, based on the last experience, traveling by water is risky and prone to running aground, and because of some countercurrents, the efficiency is not high. Secondly, he wants to go to the cliff to take a good look at the overall picture of this place. If this place is really land, or close to land, then he and Shen Keyin will have a chance of being rescued.

Walking westward along the jungle, Lu Xuan directly opened up another path this time. Instead of choosing to go around far away, he relied on his own skills and started climbing the cliff directly.

Fortunately, while the cliffs here were quite high, the slopes were not steep, and most of the paths could be walked. There were a few paths that were slightly more difficult because Lu Xuan had chosen to climb them for a shortcut. However, Lu Xuan relied on his regular exercise to develop strong upper body strength. He could do pull-ups that most people could only do a few times, but he could do them for a minute or two without stopping.

So without spending too much time and energy, Lu Xuan climbed to the top of the cliff with his bare hands.

However, in order to see the whole picture of this place clearly, Lu Xuan had to walk a short distance towards the beach. This direction was away from the coastline, and his view was blocked by lush vegetation, making it impossible to see the scene behind him clearly.

After hiking for another seven or eight minutes, when Lu Xuan stepped onto the highest point of the cliff, which was also the place closest to the coastline, Lu Xuan was finally able to see the entire picture of the land under his feet.

Looking around, there is nothing but endless sea. It is obvious that this is an isolated island. Not to mention the land, even if you look hard enough, you can't see any other islands around.

"Why……"

Lu Xuan sighed deeply. Although he had been mentally prepared since hearing the wolf howls yesterday, he still felt a little disappointed when he saw with his own eyes that this land was an island far away from the mainland.

Lu Xuan was obviously still unwilling to give up. He looked around the entire island carefully again. After confirming again and again that there was no connection between this place and other land, Lu Xuan finally gave up completely.

However, when Lu Xuan looked around the island for the second time, relying on his excellent eyesight like a pilot, Lu Xuan made many useful discoveries.

The first discovery was that further east of where he lived, there was a long corridor of towering coconut trees.

Second, something seemed to be floating on the sea near the beach in the east.

The third and most exciting thing for Lu Xuan was that he seemed to have found something similar to a ship hull on the farther east coastline.

These three new discoveries are all quite valuable.

If it really is a coconut tree corridor, then Lu Xuan will have endless coconuts to eat and endless coconut juice to drink. You know, coconuts are a real good thing for a deserted island.

As for the objects floating on the sea, although they were too far away from Lu Xuan, even if Lu Xuan had the most outstanding eyesight of humans, he could not tell what they were. However, as long as they belonged to humans, he might be able to gain something.

This last hull-like thing is even more exciting.

You should know that Lu Xuan found a lot of useful supplies on the half-stranded ship yesterday. Today, Lu Xuan is ready to score again.

If we find another similar stranded ship, it will be another great harvest.

Although the supplies Lu Xuan has currently stockpiled seem to be quite abundant, including water, food, clothing, bedding, pots, pans, and various kitchen utensils, if you think about it carefully, you will find that there are actually still many daily necessities missing.

The first thing that comes to mind is some large tools, such as shovels, etc. Some other essential survival supplies are also in short supply, such as flashlights, ropes, nets, compasses, transportation tools, etc.

Of course, what Lu Xuan most wants is a power generation device, such as a solar panel or a small fuel generator.

After all, the lighting was solely based on a fire, something Lu Xuan, who grew up in the city, was not used to.

Of course, whether these supplies can be obtained depends entirely on God's will, and Lu Xuan will not force it.

Standing on the cliff, Lu Xuan turned around and looked to the west. The first thing that came into his sight was naturally the half-stranded ship he discovered yesterday, still firmly stuck in the beach. Further west was the place where he and Shen Keyin landed.

Just when Lu Xuan finished examining everything around him and was about to find a way down to the west side of the cliff, he seemed to see a figure flash by in his peripheral vision.

Since Lu Xuan had already focused his attention on his feet, he didn't pay much attention. When Lu Xuan looked up at the western coastline again, there was no movement.

Could it be that I am dazzled and seeing things?

Lu Xuan looked towards the west carefully again, but still found nothing. Perhaps he was really dazzled.

Seeing that he had wasted a lot of time on this cliff, the sun had quietly climbed halfway up the mountain. Lu Xuan did not dare to slack off and hurried to find a way down the cliff.

However, the road going down the west side was really hard to find. Lu Xuan tried many times, but because the terrain difference was too big, he finally chose to give up. There was really no other way, so he could only choose the same road as yesterday, which was a long detour.

By the time we got down the cliff and returned to the west beach through the jungle, the sun was almost directly above our heads.

Lu Xuan quickly climbed onto the stranded ship.

But as soon as he stepped onto the side of the ship, Lu Xuan discovered something unusual...

There were footprints on the side of the boat, and Lu Xuan was certain they weren't his...
