Chapter 66 Two Servants
Yun Lanyue returned to the main house.
Last night she slept in the storage room on the second floor. There was only a bed and a quilt, nothing else. Her living condition was even worse than that of the servants in the villa.
Her uncle didn't allow her to see her grandmother, so she just happened to deal with her accommodation problem.
Yun Mu and Fang Yu both avoided her, but she didn't care.
Okay, then she can make her own decision.
She was very familiar with this villa. She had seen it before. The small room where she used to live had long since become a storage room, filled with miscellaneous items.
She chose a guest room on the third floor, which was spacious and had a wardrobe and a large bed.
She went to Yun Xinran's cloakroom and found a four-piece suit, planning to go to her room to change into it.
The maid Xiaofang stood at the door and stopped her: "Miss San, the room that Madam prepared for you is on the second floor. You shouldn't come here."
She was in her late fifties and had a mean look on her face.
As a servant who had watched Yun Lanyue grow up, she did not speak with the respect of a newcomer.
Xiaofang and Xiaofen have been working as servants here for a long time. When Yun Lanyue lived here, she was often bullied by them.
"If you barge in, I'll have to tell my wife."
As she spoke, she rolled her eyes and said, "It's been so many years, Third Miss, what kind of life you've been leading in the Yun family, don't you know?"
"I call you the Third Miss, do you really think you are the Third Miss of the Yun family? If it weren't for the kindness of the master and the mistress, you would have died outside long ago."
Perhaps she had said this kind of words so many times in the past that it became muscle memory, so when she saw Yun Lanyue again, Xiaofang spoke with particular skill.
"When you come back, earn some performance points. Don't eat and drink for free. You are not a child anymore. If you are kicked out, you will end up living on the streets."
The malice on the middle-aged woman's face was particularly obvious. Yun Lanyue lowered her eyes and said coldly.
"Get lost."
Xiaofang didn't expect that after talking for so long she only got this answer, and her eyes widened in disbelief.
"You want me to get out?"
"Besides you, is there anyone else?"
Before Xiaofang could curse, Xiaofen came up.
"Don't bother with someone who has no parental education. You are so bold even though you are living under someone else's roof. You should be the same as before. Only obedient children are liked by others."
The familiar words instantly brought back Yun Lanyue's memories.
At the age of ten, she was still in elementary school.
One day, she received a beautiful notebook as a reward from her teacher for her good grades.
After returning home from school, Yun Xinran fought with her for it.
"This is my home, everything is mine. If you don't obey me, I will tell Mom and Dad about you."
Yun Lanyue blushed and pulled the notebook with her, "This is mine."
The two little girls pinched the fragile notebook and pulled it to both sides. With a sizzling sound, the notebook was torn.
"Woo woo woo."
Yun Xinran went to Fang Yu crying and complained.
Fang Yu didn't even finish listening to what Yun Xinran said before she raised her hand and slapped her.
"Yun Lanyue, don't you understand what I'm saying? Everything in this house belongs to Ranran. No matter what she wants, you can't take it away."
She couldn't stop crying, covering her painful cheek and was locked in a small dark room.
I was hungry all night.
The next day, the servant brought rotten food.
Xiaofen stood at the door, and a mocking voice came: "Only obedient children are loved by others. Disobedient children will only be starved and locked up in a dark room."
Every time Yun Mu and Yun Xinran had trouble, they would push the blame onto Yun Lanyue.
Her explanation was unimportant, as everyone assumed she was disobedient.
Over time, the servants learned to behave like her and even bullied her in front of Fang Yu and others.
They brainwashed her into thinking that only obedient children would be liked.
As the third daughter of the Yun family, she lived the worst life and even had to work with servants.
If you make a mistake, you will be locked up in a small dark room and starve.
She was hungry and cold, and only her grandmother's care gave her temporary respite.
Xiaofen's eyes were drooping with a fierce look. "Third Miss, you don't want the master to lock you up in the dark room again, do you?"
"After all these years, the little dark room is still reserved for you. You are already so old, so be obedient, understand?"
The woman's words brought back Yun Lanyue's memories.
It can be said that Xiaofang and Xiaofen are both her childhood shadows, playing the role of abusers.
They would use thin bamboo sticks to punish her if she made a mistake, and deliberately feed her rotten food, for every single thing.
Just because she is not the favored child of the Yun family.
But now, they couldn't scare her.
"Just be good obedient dogs, don't take me with you. Get out of here."
She held the pure cotton four-piece suit and prepared to avoid Xiaofang who was standing at the door.
Xiaofang had heard it once, and after hearing it again, she still couldn't help but get angry.
They cannot bear to see people who have been humble since childhood disobey them.
Xiaofang screamed, "You want us to get out? Yun Lanyue, how dare you talk to us like that?"
Yun Lanyue said calmly, "I'm the daughter of the Yun family, why can't I?"
"Haha, that's funny. Did the master admit that you are the daughter of the Yun family? I told you that you are an orphan without a father or a mother."
Xiaofen added: "Poor little thing living under someone else's roof, no one cares about you."
