Chapter 8 What Divorce?
There was no longer the usual gentleness and kindness in his words; they were cold, as if he was replying to a stranger.
Even if Mo Chenyan didn't care, he could still hear the difference at this moment.
"Are you blaming me?"
The man frowned and walked over to her, looking down at her.
At this distance, he could take in all her expressions.
“If you want to do something, you must take the corresponding responsibility.”
After his grandmother was safe, he became the calm and dignified leader of the Mohist school again.
"If I want you to be buried with me, I mean it. If anything happens to grandma, I won't let you go."
Listening to the man say these words slowly, Yun Lanyue felt her heart sore and soft.
What does he think of her?
A helpful doctor? An irrelevant person? Or something else?
That doesn't matter anymore.
"It's really strange that President Mo is willing to talk to me so much."
Normally, if she took two steps closer to him, he would frown and back away, as if she had a virus and that getting too close would infect her.
For example, at this moment, after she said this, the man took two steps to the side.
In front of the Mo family, the identity of an ordinary person may not even be in their eyes.
"Now that grandma is stable, let's continue with what we just left unfinished."
Yun Lanyue turned around and passed by Mo Chenyan, and a cold voice fell.
The moment they passed each other, their wrists were grabbed.
The temperature of the man's palm was so hot that she stopped suddenly.
"Grandma is not out of danger yet."
She looked up and met the man's suspicious gaze. Was he afraid that she would make the patient's condition worse and run away?
She laughed out loud, her face as beautiful as a flower.
She pulled her wrist out of the man's hand and wiped the place where he had touched with a little disgust.
"The Mo family has absolute power in the capital, are you still afraid that I'll run away? Besides, grandma is out of danger, so stop cursing her, you crow-mouthed one."
Mo Chenyan noticed the woman's disgusted look and thought of how she used to look so happy every time she touched him.
Now I am doing this on purpose in front of him, trying hard not to show my weak side, right?
Feeling that he had seen through her disguise, he curled the corners of his mouth in satisfaction.
"I don't care about that. You must stay by her side until grandma gets better. You can't leave her side for a moment."
Yun Lanyue's eyes widened. "No, you don't even want to act anymore?"
How is this different from direct imprisonment?
Mo Chenyan raised his eyebrows and said, "I don't have time to act in front of you."
After that, he didn't want to say anything more to her.
"Hey, wait..."
Yun Lanyue naturally wanted to get an accurate answer, so when she saw that he wanted to leave, she reached out to pull him.
But the man seemed to have eyes on his back, and he raised his hand and grabbed her wrist.
The black eyes that were staring at her were filled with cold and bloodthirsty murderous intent.
Yun Lanyue swallowed her saliva. She just wanted to pull him over and ask for an answer. Was it necessary for him to look at her with such murderous eyes?
Noticing the increasing force on her wrist, she cried out softly in pain, and the man immediately let go of her hand.
"Don't touch me from behind."
Yun Lanyue curled her lips and said, "We already signed the divorce agreement yesterday. Even if there is no divorce certificate, we are strangers now. You have no right to imprison me in the old house. I am free."
Last night, she had made up her mind to leave the Mo family and Mo Chenyan, and she would not be soft-hearted anymore.
Before Mo Chenyan could answer, he heard an old voice.
"What divorce, what imprisonment?"
The two of them looked tacitly towards the garden entrance on the first floor. Old Man Mo, with red and swollen eyes, was standing there, his body swaying as he held onto the door frame.
