Charles was comforting Ruan Ruan when the servant who was responsible for gathering information came in with a letter.
Seeing Ruan Ruan's curiosity, Charles smiled, put his arm around Ruan Ruan's waist, and held her on his lap. "This is the news from the spy I left in the desolate land. Let's read it together."
As he spoke, his hand restlessly touched Ruan Ruan's waist.
Ruan Ruan did not reject Charles' touch, but her tightly pursed lips revealed a hint of boredom and impatience.
