Chapter 206 A False Alarm

Chapter 206 A False Alarm

Li Zhi was pulled to the sofa and stopped. She looked up at Xie Heng, Xie's father, who was sitting in the main seat, and greeted him, "Hello, uncle."

Xie Heng nodded, looking at her lovingly, raised his hand and pointed at the sofa beside her, saying softly, "Don't stand, sit down."

Li Zhi hummed, turned around, and sat down on the sofa slowly.

Huo Shu sat down next to her, unable to conceal his fondness for her. He smiled and said, "Zhizhi, I'm glad to see you today."

Li Zhi turned to look at her and smiled slightly, "Auntie, I'm sorry, I've been busy for a while and haven't come to visit you."

Huo Shu patted her hand gently and said, "It's okay, it's okay. Just come and walk around more often in the future."

She paused, noticed her youngest son sitting across from her, raised her hand and pointed at him, and continued, "By the way, Zhizhi, I haven't introduced you yet. This is Tingzhou's younger brother, Xie Wang."

Xie Wang saw Li Zhi turn around and look at him, and quickly waved at her, saying cheerfully, "Hello, sister-in-law."

Li Zhi's eyes fell on him and nodded, "Hello."

"Sister-in-law, please come to our house often when you have nothing to do." Xie Wang said with the same enthusiasm.

"Okay." Li Zhi responded.

Seeing that Li Zhi seemed quite adapted and not as nervous as he had imagined, Xie Tingzhou did not go out of his way to sit next to her. Instead, he took his son to sit next to Xie Wang.

He glanced around the huge living room and asked, "Isn't your uncle here yet?"

"Not yet, he said he would be there later." Huo Shu replied.

Xie Tingzhou nodded and said nothing more.

Huo Shu suddenly thought of something, looked at Li Zhi again, and said with a smile: "By the way, Zhizhi, after the summer vacation, Yan Jing will also start school. I don't know where he will go to kindergarten. He should be in the middle class by then."

Li Zhi coughed lightly, glanced at her son across from her from the corner of her eye, and replied, "He hasn't been to school yet, but my parents have already found a place for him. He can go to school officially after the summer vacation."

"It's okay to go to school later. Our Yanjing is very smart anyway." Huo Shu didn't think much about it. "Which kindergarten did you choose?"

"I heard from my mother that it's the one near my home, which is convenient for picking me up and dropping me off on weekdays." Li Zhi replied.

Huo Shu nodded, "Oh, I see. That kindergarten is one of the best in Beijing."

Just as he finished speaking, a servant's announcement suddenly came from outside:

"Master, Madam, Mr. Huo is here."

When Li Zhi heard the words "Mr. Huo", her eyes narrowed and she reflexively looked towards the door.

Then a man in black suit slowly walked in from outside.

The other person looked quite young, probably in his thirties.

Her short black hair was neatly combed back, revealing her full forehead.

He has a high nose bridge, deep eyebrows and eyes, and a string of Buddhist beads in his hand. He exudes the charm of a mature man.

"Oh, he's here. I thought it would take some time." Huo Shu looked at Huo Lin who was approaching and hurriedly introduced him to Li Zhi, "Zhizhi, he's my younger brother, Tingzhou's uncle. You should call him uncle too."

She paused, then turned to Huo Lin and said, "Ah Lin, she is Ting Zhou's fiancée, Li Zhi."

Li Zhi's eyes fell on Huo Lin, and he looked at him carefully without any expression. Now he realized that it was a false alarm.

She thought the person who came was 'Mr. Huo', but she didn't expect it to be Xie Tingzhou's uncle, and they just happened to have the same surname.

Li Zhi collected herself and called out to him, "Uncle."

Huo Lin noticed her the moment he came in, raised his eyebrows slightly, and recognized her at a glance as the metaphysics female anchor that Bai Yi had recommended to him before. He had watched one or two of her live broadcasts.

I just didn't expect that she was actually my nephew's fiancée. It was really a coincidence.

Huo Lin smiled and nodded slightly, "Hello."

Huo Shu waved to Li Yanjing who was sitting opposite him, "Yanjing, come here to grandma."

Li Yanjing responded obediently, slid down from the sofa, and walked over with small steps.

Huo Shu pulled him to his side and pointed at Huo Lin, "Come, Yan Jing, this is your uncle, call him uncle."

Li Yanjing looked up at Huo Lin standing in front of him, his black eyes clear and pure, and he called out in a childish voice, "Uncle."

Huo Lin's eyes fell on him, his eyes moved slightly, as if he discovered something. He reached out and touched his face, and said softly, "Hello, little guy."

Li Yanjing looked at him curiously again, then turned around and sat down on the other side of Li Zhi.

"Okay, okay, let's sit down and talk." Huo Shu said with a smile.

Huo Lin hummed, slowly withdrew his gaze from Li Yanjing, walked to the single sofa next to him and sat down.

He twirled his Buddhist beads in a distracted manner, then raised his eyelids to look at Li Zhi, seemingly saying casually, "I saw a female anchor online a few days ago who looks just like you, Xiaozhi. She's also called Master Li. Is that you, Xiaozhi?"

Li Zhi didn't expect that she would be spotted by Xie Tingzhou's uncle. She nodded and didn't deny it. "It's me. I didn't expect that my uncle would also watch the live broadcast."

"I came across it by chance and thought it was quite interesting, so I read it for a while." Huo Lin replied.

"Female anchor?" Xie Wang listened to the conversation between the two, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. He couldn't help but interrupt and asked curiously, "Sister-in-law, are you still live streaming online?"

Huo Shu turned to look at Li Zhi, "Zhizhi, you're still a host? I've never heard Ting Zhou mention that."

"I just broadcast it casually when I have nothing to do. It's just a hobby." Li Zhi explained.

"Sister-in-law, what are you broadcasting? I'm going to support you." Xie Wang asked again.

"I'm telling fortunes live." Li Zhi replied.

Xie Wang's eyes widened slightly, his brows filled with disbelief, "Telling fortunes?"

"Yes." Li Zhi said.

Xie Wang didn't really believe in those feudal superstitions. He coughed lightly and said somewhat implicitly, "Sister-in-law, are you just doing this for fun?"

"Of course not. I really tell people's fortunes. It's not the kind of thing I say casually to deceive people as you think." Li Zhi said.

Huo Shu usually believed in these things and would go to the Taoist temple to burn incense and ask for talismans. He was very surprised and said, "Oh my God, Zhizhi, you are so amazing that you can even tell people's fortunes."

Li Zhi nodded, "Yeah."

Huo Lin took the tea handed to him by the servant, skimmed off the foam, lowered his head and took a sip, then said slowly, "I watched your live broadcast, Xiaozhi. Your calculations seem to be quite accurate. You seem to have quite a lot of attainments in metaphysics. I wonder where you learned it from?"

Li Zhi looked up at him again and made up an excuse, "My master was an old Taoist priest who has long passed away. Even if I tell you, you, uncle, won't recognize him."
