Chapter 210 Haunted

Chapter 210 Haunted

"No." Li Zhi shook his head, his eyes falling on Li Yanjing, and asked, "Son, how about you?"

Li Yanjing thought for a moment and said, "Me neither."

Li Zhi glanced around the small room, then glanced at the household registration book in her hand. "Okay, let's go."

"Okay." Xie Tingzhou responded, picked up the garbage bag, and walked outside.

Li Zhi closed the door, stood at the corner of the stairs, took out her cell phone, opened WeChat, and sent a message to her landlord, Aunt Mei.

Tell her that she can come and take possession of the house, and that she doesn't want any of her things in the house anymore, so let her deal with them herself.

After sending the message, Li Zhi put away her phone, called the father and son, and went downstairs together.

As the three of them walked out of the building, they saw a lot of people standing in the open space in front of the building opposite. They had different expressions and were talking about something in a noisy voice.

The landlord, Aunt Mei, was also among them, and it seemed that she was enjoying the show.

Li Zhi just glanced at it and quickly looked away, not paying much attention to it.

After Xie Tingzhou threw the garbage in her hand into the trash can next to her, she was about to leave when Aunt Mei came over and stopped her.

"Hey, Lizhi, you guys are leaving so soon."

Li Zhi paused and looked up at her, "Yes, we just came here to get something."

"Aunt Mei, I just sent you a message on WeChat. You can go and collect the room now. I don't want any of my things in here anymore. Please help me get rid of them."

Aunt Mei nodded, "Okay, I understand."

She paused, turned her head to look at the building next to her, and continued to talk to herself: "Oh, I'm not going to live here anymore. When the time comes, I'm going to rent out the floor I live on."

Seeing that she wanted to chat with him, Li Zhi didn't want to leave immediately.

After all, she had lived here for a few years and Aunt Mei had taken good care of her.

Sometimes when the rent cannot be paid, she will not ask for it, because she knows that it is not easy for them, mother and son.

"What's wrong, Aunt Mei, are you going to live with your son and his family?" Li Zhi asked.

"Yeah, I didn't want to either." Aunt Mei sighed softly, "That building next door has been haunted lately, making people feel uneasy. I'd better move out."

"Haunted?" Li Zhi raised an eyebrow, now speaking professionally. She raised her eyelids and glanced at the building next door. "Auntie Mei, what's going on in that building next door?"

"A few days ago, there was always the sound of a baby crying in the building next door in the middle of the night, which kept everyone awake. I remember there were no newborn babies in the building next door, and the youngest child was only seven or eight years old."

"They went door to door and asked, and it turned out that there was no household with a baby."

"This scared everyone. There was no baby, so where did the crying sound come from? The key point is that everyone in the building could hear it."

"Some people went out to check in the middle of the night, but they checked the entire building and couldn't find where the noise was coming from."

"At first, no one suspected it was a ghost. They thought it was someone with nothing better to do, playing a prank and deliberately disturbing the people."

"Last night, a young man from next door came home late. I heard it was around one or two in the morning. He saw a woman in red standing motionless in the corridor on the fourth floor, holding a baby. The baby was crying non-stop."

"The young man saw it and finally knew whose child was crying so late at night. He immediately went to confront the woman in red," Aunt Mei said, gesturing with her hands. "The woman turned around, her face covered in blood, and her tongue stretched out."

"The baby stopped crying and started giggling. The boy was so frightened that he fainted. He wasn't found until this morning. What he saw must have been a ghost."

Li Zhi understood, "Aunt Mei, I know something about this. I'll go and show you around."

Aunt Mei was stunned when she heard this, then reacted. A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, and she said in disbelief: "Really, Li Zhi, do you even know this?"

"Of course it's true. I've gotten rid of this female ghost, so Aunt Mei doesn't have to worry about moving anymore." Li Zhi said, "Otherwise, it will be difficult to rent out your house."

Aunt Mei didn't know if she could really exorcise ghosts, so she said doubtfully, "Why don't you go and take a look?"

Li Zhi hummed and walked towards the next building.

Xie Tingzhou raised his eyebrows and followed, holding his son's hand.

It seems that today is not a good day to get a marriage certificate.

......

The group arrived at the fourth floor.

"I saw it here," said Aunt Mei.

Li Zhi looked around and asked, "Are the two households on the fourth floor occupied?"

Aunt Mei shook her head. "I'm not sure about that. If it were our building, I'd definitely know everything."

"Auntie Mei, do you know which floor that young man lives on?" Li Zhi asked again.

"I heard them say they seem to live in 602." Aunt Mei replied.

"Let's go and see him." Li Zhi said as he walked upstairs.

"Oh, okay." Aunt Mei followed immediately.

Li Zhi stopped at the door of Room 602 and knocked twice.

However, after waiting for a minute, no one opened the door.

"Hey, isn't he home?" Aunt Mei said, "I heard them say that this guy is usually at home during the day and goes out at night."

Li Zhi didn't say anything, raised her hand and knocked on the door twice.

Now I finally heard some movement from inside.

The next second, a boy who looked to be in his twenties opened the door.

He seemed to have just woken up, his eyes were half open and his cheeks were red.

The boy squinted his eyes, rubbed the back of his head, and said weakly, "Who are you?"

Aunt Mei couldn't help but say, "Hey, young man, are you okay? Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?"

The boy nodded, "Yes, I have a fever... What do you want to talk to me about?"

"You don't have an ordinary fever. You've been frightened by a ghost and the evil spirit has entered your body." Li Zhi said.

The boy was stunned when he heard this, then he reacted and thought of the red-dressed female ghost he saw when he came back in the early morning. His face changed and he said belatedly:

"Damn it! I was wondering why I suddenly had a fever. The weather is so hot, and I shouldn't be freezing if I sleep in the corridor all night."

Li Zhi took out a piece of talisman paper and hit him directly with it.

The boy widened his eyes slightly, looked down at the talisman paper that had disappeared into his body, his brows full of shock.

Just as I was about to say something, I suddenly found that the feeling of being top-heavy disappeared.

My head suddenly became clear and I was no longer dizzy, and I felt stronger.

"Hey, I don't seem to feel uncomfortable anymore!" The boy touched his face and said in surprise.
