Chapter 243 Human Meat Buns

Chapter 243 Human Meat Buns

Han Xuyan nodded, retracted his gaze, and continued walking downstairs, "Yes, it's just what you said."

Xiong Jian glanced at Wei Chi beside him and followed him downstairs. "Little brother, did you secretly look out the window?"

"No." Han Xuyan replied without turning his head.

"Do you live in a dormitory by yourself, or...?" Xiong Jian asked.

"I live alone." Han Xuyan said.

"Then did you hear those strange footsteps outside the corridor that lasted for a long time?" Xiong Jian asked again.

"I heard it." Han Xuyan walked out of the dormitory building, stopped after going down the stairs, turned around and looked at him, "So why are you asking me so many questions?"

Xiong Jian smiled kindly and said, "We're not planning anything, we just want to know if everyone is going through the same thing."

"That's right, buddy, don't be nervous." Wei Chi echoed.

"Do you have anything else to ask? If not, I'm leaving." Han Xuyan said.

"No, but you should be going to class too, we can go together." Xiong Jian said.

"No need." Han Xuyan turned around and walked towards the teaching building.

Wei Chi watched him leave and snorted softly, "This guy is quite arrogant."

Xiong Jian raised his hand and patted his shoulder, "Come on, let's go to class quickly, don't be late and get into trouble."

Wei Chi responded and walked side by side with him, raising his chin slightly and guessing, "Brother Xiong, do you want to ask that guy to join us?"

Xiong Jian nodded. "Yes, there is strength in numbers, and we can help each other. And when I mentioned those things just now, I saw that he was quite calm, which shows that this little brother is not ordinary."

Wei Chi turned to look at him, "But I don't want to either. I can tell from the looks of it that I like to be alone."

"If you don't want to, forget it. The two of us are enough." Xiong Jian said nonchalantly, "If you don't know, you might think we're teaming up for a mission."

Wei Chi nodded and was about to say something when his stomach suddenly growled.

He touched his hungry stomach and suggested, "Brother Xiong, why don't we have breakfast before going to class?"

Wei Chi turned around and looked around, noticing that the cafeteria was next to the dormitory building. He continued, "Isn't the cafeteria right here? It's definitely not a good thing for us not to eat here. Who knows when we can wake up from this dream?"

Xiong Jian was actually hungry too, and thought that no ghosts would appear in broad daylight. "Well, let's grab some buns or something and eat on the way to class."

"Okay!" Wei Chi said.

......

When standing at the cafeteria window, the two realized that they did not have meal cards at all, and looked at each other in confusion.

Wei Chi raised his eyes and touched the tip of his nose.

"Are you guys going to eat or not? Hurry up, don't you see there are students queuing up behind you?"

Wei Chi looked up, and when he saw the face of the food server clearly, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and he was a little surprised, "Hey, isn't this the dormitory manager uncle?"

The dorm manager lifted the brim of his hat with the back of his hand. "Oh, it's you two. Do you want to eat or not?"

Wei Chi coughed lightly and said awkwardly, "We want to eat, but we don't have a meal card..."

The dorm manager casually picked up two buns and handed them to him, "Alright, take it and go quickly. Remember to bring your meal card next time."

Wei Chi's eyes lit up. He hadn't expected the dorm manager to be so nice. He quickly reached out to take it and said with a smile, "Thank you, dorm manager uncle. You're such a nice person."

The dorm manager gave Xiong Jian two more and said, "You too."

Xiong Jian nodded, "Thank you."

The dormitory manager waved at them, "Alright, alright, hurry up and leave. Don't block the seats."

"Okay, thank you." Wei Chi smiled happily, holding two buns in his hand, and walked towards the door with Xiong Jian.

After coming out of the cafeteria, he raised his hand and took a big bite of the bun. The fresh aroma of meat spread in his mouth. "Oh my god, it's filled with meat, it's so delicious!"

Wei Chi took another bite, turned to look at Xiong Jian beside him, and mumbled, "Brother Xiong, you should eat quickly too."

Xiong Jian hummed, lowered his head, took a bite of the bun in his hand, and chewed it slowly.

Wei Chi quickly finished two buns and was about to say something when his teeth suddenly bit into something hard. He frowned and quickly lowered his head to spit the food out of his mouth into his palm. "Fuck, what is that?"

When he saw clearly what was lying in his palm, his pupils suddenly contracted and he stopped in his tracks. His brows were filled with shock and astonishment, and he even suspected that he had seen it wrong.

"Xiong, Xiong brother..."

Xiong Jian noticed that he stopped, turned his head to look at him, and was about to ask him what was wrong, but when his eyes fell on the object in his palm, his eyes widened.

"Is this... a nail?"

"Yes... and she even has black nail polish... Ugh..."

As Wei Chi spoke, he bent over and started to retch, holding his throat.

Xiong Jian lowered his eyes and looked at the half-eaten bun in his hand, with an unpleasant expression on his face.

If you can find a complete fingernail in the meat, does that mean it might be human flesh?

Xiong Jian couldn't hold it in any longer. He felt a strong wave of nausea and dropped the half-remaining bun in his hand and started vomiting.

Wei Chi was about to vomit bile. After taking a break, his face turned pale and he said weakly, "Fuck, I can't take it anymore. This is a fucking human meat bun!"

Xiong Jian wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then reached out and patted him on the back. "Go to class first. We can talk later."

Wei Chi nodded, suppressed his inner discomfort, and walked quickly towards the teaching building.

......

As soon as the two arrived in the classroom, the bell rang.

Wei Chi pulled out a chair and sat down, glancing around the classroom and found that the number of people was half of what it was yesterday.

Except for those who didn't want to come to class like he did before, it was obvious that the rest were dead.

The classroom was noisy as everyone was discussing what had happened last night. Without exception, everyone's expressions revealed panic and anxiety.

But there didn't seem to be any mention of breakfast.

Wei Chi retracted his gaze, turned to look at Xiong Jian who was sitting next to him, and said, "Brother Xiong, what happened to the buns we ate?"

He paused, as if seeking psychological comfort, and continued, "Could it be that it's not human flesh, or the cafeteria's hygiene is poor, and the nail accidentally fell into the meat filling while making it..."

"That's not a complete nail..." Xiong Jian said, "And don't you find that the meat is much more fragrant than normal pork?"

“…”

Wei Chi scratched his hair and said in a state of despair, "No, how could I be so unlucky to have eaten a nail? It would be better if I didn't know anything at all."
