Chapter 244: Make the Best of It
"Did you eat in the cafeteria?"
Wei Chi was stunned when he heard the sudden voice. Then he reacted and turned to look behind him. He found that the person sitting behind him was the cold guy that Xiong Jian had spoken to before.
He was a little surprised. He didn't expect that this cold guy would actually take the initiative to talk to them.
Wei Chi nodded. The thought of eating human flesh made him feel sick again. He swallowed and said, "Yeah, it's a good thing you didn't go to the cafeteria, otherwise you would be like me now, feeling miserable."
Han Xuyan twirled the pen in his hand, "Are you sure you got the human meat buns?"
Wei Chi raised his hand and smoothed his chest. "I don't want to be sure, but the fact is, it is indeed a human meat bun..."
"What's wrong, little brother? Do you have any ideas?" Xiong Jian asked.
Han Xuyan turned to look at him and said, "No, I'm just asking out of curiosity."
"Anyway, let's not go to this cafeteria. Who would dare to eat there?" Wei Chi sighed. "I'd rather starve like this. It's just a dream anyway. As long as I don't starve to death, that's all."
Han Xuyan didn't say anything, but just kept turning the pen in his hand.
Xiong Jian smiled and said, "By the way, little brother, I don't know what to call you yet. Let's get to know each other. Meeting is fate."
"Han Xuyan."
"My name is Xiong Jian." Xiong Jian turned around and glanced at Wei Chi beside him, then introduced, "His name is Wei Chi."
Han Xuyan nodded.
"You also bought dreams from that monk, right?" Wei Chi asked.
Han Xuyan nodded, "Well, aren't you all?"
Wei Chi put his arm on his desk and asked curiously, "So what dream did you buy?"
"What dream did you buy?" Han Xuyan asked back.
Wei Chi's eyes flickered. "Oh, it's a dream about a beautiful woman."
Han Xuyan raised his eyebrows and said firmly, "That's a wet dream."
"cough..."
Wei Chi almost choked on his own saliva. He didn't expect that he not only guessed it, but also said it so bluntly.
Xiong Jian raised his hand and patted his shoulder. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. We're all men, and we all understand."
Wei Chi pulled up the corners of his mouth and smiled awkwardly, then immediately changed the subject: "I said, what about you, Han Xuyan, what dream did you buy?"
He paused, looked him up and down, and continued, "We're all men, and you seem quite quiet. I guess you don't dare to approach girls in real life. You must have bought into the erotic dream like me, right?"
Han Xuyan's eyelashes moved, "Seeing the person I want to see in my dream."
"Meeting the person you want to see in your dream?" Wei Chi raised his hand, extended his index finger and nodded at him, looking like he understood everything. His eyes were full of teasing, and he said with a smile: "I told you, we are all men, so he must want you to meet the girl you like, right?"
Han Xuyan put down the pen in his hand and said, "My mother."
Wei Chi's smile froze at the corners of his mouth, and he realized why he saw his mother in his dream. It must be that his mother was no longer alive.
He suddenly felt guilty. He actually thought of others like this. Damn it!
Wei Chi slapped his head and apologized quickly, saying, "I'm sorry, I was so narrow-minded to think of you like this."
Han Xuyan obviously didn't care, "It's okay."
"Xiao Han, I see that you don't seem afraid or worried at all about the situation we are in now..." Xiong Jian suddenly asked, "Do you know something?"
"Is it useful to just worry and be afraid? We should just make the best of it now that it has happened." Han Xuyan replied without changing his expression.
Xiong Jian nodded in agreement. "Yes, you're right. We should make the best of it."
"Why don't you join us?" Wei Chi invited. "Aren't you afraid of sleeping alone in a dormitory at night?"
"Yes, stay with me and we can take care of each other. After all, we don't know when we will wake up from this dream," said Xiong Jian.
Han Xuyan looked at them and said in silence for a few seconds, "Okay."
Wei Chi raised the corner of his mouth, reached out and patted his arm in a familiar manner, "That's right!"
"Oh, by the way, Lao Han, did you see the headless female ghost on the way back to the dormitory after class yesterday?" Wei Chi asked.
Han Xuyan shook his head and said, "I didn't see it, but I heard others say it."
"It's a good thing you didn't see it, otherwise you would be scared to death." Wei Chi said.
"Did you see it?" Han Xuyan asked.
"Yes, we also saw her kill someone. Brother Xiong and I were so scared that we ran away without even daring to look back." Wei Chi said with lingering fear.
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly heard the sound of high heels coming from far away.
Wei Chi's body shook reflexively, and he somehow thought of the headless female ghost last night. She made the same sound when she walked.
He turned around and looked in the direction of the sound, and saw the head teacher walking in from outside holding a stack of test papers.
Wei Chi tilted his head, with a hint of doubt in his eyes. Why did he feel that the head teacher's figure seemed to be the same as that headless female ghost?
The head teacher distributed the test papers to each group, then returned to the podium, paused, raised his hand and patted the table, "This is a comprehensive test paper, it's quite difficult, everyone, please do your best."
Wei Chi collected his thoughts, took the test paper handed over by the person in front of him, gave one copy to Xiong Jian next to him, and then handed the rest to Han Xuyan behind him.
He raised his eyes again and glanced at the head teacher on the podium. Suddenly, he thought of something and whispered, "Brother Xiong, you said there are so many fewer people in the class. Doesn't the head teacher find it strange? Why didn't he ask anything?"
"This is all a dream. Ghosts appear at night, so we shouldn't think about it normally. No matter what happens, it's normal," said Xiong Jian.
Wei Chi thought about it and said, "Yes, Brother Xiong, you are right."
Xiong Jian retracted his gaze and lowered his eyes to look at the test paper in his hand, as if he were reading a divine book. He said slowly, "Who would have thought that I, a man who has graduated for many years and is in his thirties, would actually be taking a high school test paper in my dream one day?"
He suddenly thought of something, turned to look at Wei Chi again, and asked, "Xiao Wei, are you a high school student?"
Wei Chi nodded, "Yes, the third year of high school has started."
"Then you must know all the answers to these questions, right?" Xiong Jian asked again.
Wei Chi touched the back of his head and coughed lightly, "Brother Xiong, I don't know much, and my grades are not very good."
"Oh, okay." Xiong Jian shook his head. "Forget it, just write something casually."
"That's right, just write whatever you want." Wei Chi took out a pen from the table, uncapped it, and said jokingly, "Brother Xiong, do you still want to get full marks?"
"No, I'm just afraid that if I don't pass, there will be some bad consequences," said Xiong Jian.
Wei Chi's eyelids twitched. "No way, will something happen even if I fail?"
Xiong Jian shrugged and said, "I don't know either. I'm just worried."
