Chapter 246 On the Ceiling

Chapter 246 On the Ceiling

Wei Chi's pupils trembled, "This, is impossible..."

Xiong Jian had never thought about this question before. After hearing Han Xuyan's words, his expression became serious. "Yeah, what if I can't wake up from this dream?"

He paused and continued, "Could it be that the monk's goal is to keep us trapped in this dream and prevent us from waking up?"

"In that case, why would he trap us in this dream? Is there any benefit for him?" Wei Chi said.

"That must be for a purpose." Han Xuyan lay down on the bed. "As for what that purpose is, I don't know for now."

Wei Chi was anxious. "If your guess is true, then are we going to stay in this nightmare for the rest of our lives?"

Han Xuyan's eyelashes moved. "Isn't it good to dream? At least I can see the person I want to see."

Wei Chi walked over and stopped in front of his bed. "That has to be a dream we want to have. Are you willing to stay in this nightmare with ghosts and not wake up?"

"I told you, let's make the best of it," Han Xuyan said. "There's no point in being anxious now. You might as well rest early and see what happens tomorrow. We can take it one step at a time."

"Yes, Xiao Han is right." Xiong Jian walked to Wei Chi and stopped. He raised his hand and patted his shoulder, comforting him: "Don't worry, Xiao Wei, the three of us will work together to find a way to wake up from this dream."

Wei Chi put his hands on his hips, took a breath, calmed himself down, and nodded, "I understand, Brother Xiong."

"Okay, go lie down and go to sleep. It's probably almost time to turn off the lights," said Xiong Jian.

Wei Chi hummed, turned around, walked to his bed and sat down, then took off his shoes and lay down on it.

Xiong Jian glanced at him, looked away, and lay back down on his bed.

Sure enough, within two minutes, the lights in the dormitory went out automatically.

Wei Chi slowly closed his eyes, but couldn't fall asleep. He couldn't help but regret why he didn't listen to Gu Yu at that time.

If he had resisted the urge to ask that monk for dreams again, he wouldn't be in this situation now.

I don’t know how time has passed in reality, and whether Kong Yang and the others have noticed that they have not woken up.

What should my parents do if I can't wake up?

Just as he was daydreaming, he suddenly heard a rustling sound in his ears, accompanied by a sticky sound.

Wei Chi slowly opened his eyes, turned his head and was about to look for the source of the sound when he suddenly felt a chill on his neck.

He reached out and touched his neck and found that it was wet, as if water had dripped on it.

Wei Chi frowned. Why was there water here? Was the ceiling leaking?

But there was clearly a bed board above him, so where did the water come from?

Wei Chi put the fingertips that had touched the water under his nose and smelled it. It would have been fine if he hadn't smelled it, but he was shocked when he did.

This is not water, it's clearly blood!

Wei Chi couldn't remain calm anymore. He jumped up from the bed and couldn't help but curse, "Fuck!"

Xiong Jian and Han Xuyan were both awakened by his sudden movement. They sat up from the bed and looked at him.

"What's wrong?" Xiong Jian asked in a low voice.

Wei Chi crawled to his bed and sat down, stretching out his trembling fingers. "Blood...blood just dripped onto my neck..."

Xiong Jian lowered his head to his fingertips and sniffed, and found that there was indeed a smell of blood. "Why is there blood...?"

His expression changed, and he suddenly thought of something. He quickly raised his eyes to look at Wei Chi's upper bunk bed, but saw nothing.

Han Xuyan got off the bed, walked to the bed where Wei Chi was sleeping, stopped, and stood on tiptoe to look at his upper bunk.

The bed was wet, and in the darkness a human-shaped stain could be vaguely seen, emitting a strong smell of blood.

Han Xuyan's eyes narrowed before he turned his gaze and looked at the two people sitting opposite him. "This upper bunk is just like what we saw in that dormitory just now. There's a human-shaped bloodstain. The blood must have dripped onto you from the soaked mattress."

Wei Chi was slightly stunned when he heard this. Then, his brows were filled with shock and astonishment. He said in disbelief, "No, shouldn't it be in that dormitory? How could it be here? But Brother Xiong and I were the only ones in this dormitory last night!"

Xiong Jian nodded, "It's indeed just me and Xiao Wei."

"It's not ruled out that someone stayed in your dormitory during the day." Han Xuyan said.

"No, what should we do now?" Wei Chi said with some fear.

Xiong Jian patted his shoulder and said, "It's just a bloodstain. If there was a ghost, it would have come out long ago. So, you can sleep on my upper bunk."

Wei Chi nodded, knowing that there was no other way at the moment. After all, if he went out to change dormitories now, what if he ran into the thing from last night?

"Okay, let's go up quickly. Let's stop talking, otherwise we will attract that thing here." Xiong Jian said again.

Wei Chi responded, lifted his legs and climbed onto his upper bunk, then lay down on it.

He was just about to close his eyes, but when he looked up, he saw a female ghost clinging to the ceiling.

“Ahhhhhhhhh!”

Wei Chi was so scared that he turned over and jumped off the bed.

Xiong Jian just lay down and sat up and got out of bed, "What's wrong?!"

Wei Chi threw himself on him for safety, and said in a trembling voice, "Ghost, there's a ghost!"

"Where is it?" Xiong Jian asked.

Wei Chi grabbed his arm tightly, "It's on the ceiling!"

Han Xuyan also got out of bed. Hearing this, he looked up at the ceiling, but there was nothing.

Xiong Jian also looked at it and said, "No, were you scared just now? Are you too afraid of hallucinations?"

Wei Chi shook his head, "Impossible, I really saw it, it's not an illusion!"

Just as he finished speaking, footsteps were suddenly heard in the corridor outside.

Wei Chi wanted to say something, but when he heard the voice, his breathing stopped and he closed his mouth instantly.

His eyes were filled with fear and anxiety. He knew that he had made too much noise and attracted something.

Xiong Jian's expression changed and he raised his hand to signal them not to speak or make any noise.

The strange sound approached little by little and slowly stopped at the door of their room.

As the key was inserted into the keyhole little by little, the old lock made a creepy sound. The other party's strength became stronger and stronger, and the whole lock was shaking, as if it would fall off in the next second.

The three people in the dormitory stared at the door, not even daring to breathe too hard.

A few minutes later, silence returned outside the door. It seemed that the other party had left.

Wei Chi turned his head to look at Xiong Jian beside him, opened his mouth and asked silently: Are you leaving?

Xiong Jian was also unsure, so he shook his head and motioned him to wait a little longer.

Wei Chi was just about to look away and look back at the door, but out of the corner of his eye he saw that the female ghost he had just seen was standing next to Han Xuyan for some reason.
