Chapter 91 The CPU is about to burn out
Cheng Sheng couldn't understand what Chen Yan had done to deserve Xie Tingzhou's approval.
Not only did he let him come out to put pressure on himself, but he was also invited to come and support him.
Isn't this a warning to him that he shouldn't try to cause trouble for Chen Yan secretly in the future?
Chen Yan was the one who thanked Tingzhou for his protection.
Cheng Sheng temporarily suppressed his doubts, raised his hand and pointed at the round table behind him, and said, "Okay, then, Mr. Xie, let's sit down first."
Xie Tingzhou nodded, pushed Li Zhi to the table and stopped, then helped her sit down on the chair.
Cheng Sheng secretly looked at Li Zhi and the little boy following her, and suddenly discovered something. He stared at Li Yanjing and Xie Tingzhou's faces in disbelief.
Why does this little boy look so much like Xie Tingzhou?
Could this be Xie Tingzhou's wife and son? !
But he remembered that Xie Tingzhou was not married. Was he in a secret marriage?
Cheng Sheng felt like his brain CPU was about to burn out. What was going on?
Since he came to support Chen Yan, why did he bring his wife and children with him?
Xie Tingzhou sat down next to Li Zhi, raised his eyelids and looked at Cheng Sheng standing beside him, and said in a casual voice: "What's wrong, Mayor Cheng, is there something wrong with standing?"
Cheng Sheng came back to his senses and shook his head, "No, no."
"Then let's sit down and talk about today's business." Xie Tingzhou said.
Cheng Sheng looked at him and a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead. He nodded in response and sat back down in his seat.
He looked around and said, "Why don't we order first and talk while we eat."
Chen Yan's eyes were fixed on Cheng Zhe, who lowered his head, and his hand on his leg gradually tightened. "Mayor Cheng, I didn't come here today to eat and chat."
Cheng Sheng's expression froze. Seeing that Xie Tingzhou didn't say anything, he obviously meant the same thing. He touched Cheng Zhe, who was sitting next to him, under the table and said immediately, "I know. I'll let this evil creature apologize to you now."
Cheng Zhe raised his head and stood up from his chair. As Cheng Sheng had said before, he first bent down ninety degrees and bowed to Chen Yan. Then, he said in a seemingly sincere manner, "I'm sorry. I killed your kitten. I'm sorry."
"You should say sorry to my cat." Chen Yan said slowly.
Cheng Zhe frowned slightly. His cat was dead, so did he have to apologize to its corpse?
Chen Yan turned to look at Li Zhi who was sitting on the other side, "Master Li?"
Li Zhi knew what he meant and nodded slightly. Under the gaze of everyone, he raised his hand and threw out a talisman paper, hitting Chen Yan's left shoulder.
A golden light flashed, and the next second, a beautiful white kitten was seen lying on Chen Yan's shoulder.
Seeing this, Cheng Zhe's pupils suddenly contracted and he subconsciously took a step back. His brows were full of disbelief, and he even suspected that he had seen it wrong.
He turned to look at the others and found that although their expressions were different, their eyes were all on Chen Yan's left shoulder, so it was not an illusion.
Isn't the cat dead?!
Cheng Sheng looked at Li Zhi, then at the cat on Chen Yan's shoulder, a little confused, "What, what is this...?"
Li Zhi raised an eyebrow and said, "This is the cat your son killed. What you are seeing now is his soul."
"What?!" Cheng's mother exclaimed, her eyes almost popping out of her head.
Chen Yan looked at the kitten on his left shoulder, his brows softened instantly, and his eyes unconsciously turned red. He suppressed the urge to cry and called out softly, "Kongkong..."
Kong Kong was originally dozing on his shoulder. When he heard the sound, he looked up at him and met his eyes. There seemed to be some surprise in his big glass-like eyes. He meowed, as if to say: Human, can you see this meow?
Chen Yan seemed to understand his cat language and raised his hand to touch his head. "I can see you."
Kong Kong didn't understand what he was saying, but when she saw him touching his head, she knew he could see her, so she immediately rubbed her head against Chen Yan's palm.
Chen Yan smiled knowingly, but thinking that he still had important things to do, he didn't linger any longer. He put down his hand, looked up at Cheng Zhe who was still in shock, and said, "Now you can apologize to my cat."
Kong Kong followed his gaze and when he saw who was standing opposite him, he instantly arched his back, his hair stood on end, and let out a low growl.
He turned around and meowed at Chen Yan: This is a bad guy, let's go!
Seeing this, Chen Yan quickly comforted him, "Don't be afraid, he can't hurt you now."
Cheng Sheng now finally understood why Xie Tingzhou brought his wife with him. It turned out that his wife was a master in psychic communication.
He turned to look at Cheng Zhe and urged, "What are you still standing there for? Hurry up and apologize to the kitten."
Cheng Zhe looked at the kitten on Chen Yan's shoulder with a wary look on its face, pursed his lips, and said, "I'm sorry, Kong Kong."
Kong Kong looked at him fiercely, breathing heavily and making low growling sounds.
Cheng Sheng coughed lightly and took out a check from his pocket. "Chen Yan, this check is for one million. It's our compensation for your dead kitten."
As he spoke, he handed the check to Cheng Zhe who was standing next to him, and motioned him to give it to Chen Yan.
Cheng Zhe just raised his hand to take it, and then he heard Chen Yan say coldly:
"I don't want the check. I just hope Mayor Cheng can control your son in the future and not let him do such a cruel thing again."
Chen Yan paused and continued, "I don't know if this is his first time killing small animals, or if he's just a repeat offender. Mayor Cheng would be better off being careful. Otherwise, if he takes pleasure in killing people in the future, it might be too late."
Cheng Sheng felt a little embarrassed as he was actually being lectured by an unknown person.
But when he thought that Xie Tingzhou was backing him up, he naturally didn't dare to show any displeasure.
Cheng Sheng nodded. "I'll pay attention to what you said. It was our negligence in discipline that led to his making such a mistake. I will definitely keep a close eye on him in the future and won't let him do such a thing again."
"If you want to know whether your son is a repeat offender, you might as well take his cell phone and check it." Li Zhi suddenly said.
"Just wait and see, Mayor Cheng, maybe there will be an unexpected surprise." Xie Tingzhou echoed.
Cheng Zhe's back tightened and his heart instantly rose to his throat. He couldn't imagine how serious the consequences would be if Cheng Sheng knew that he was a habitual offender.
Cheng Sheng frowned and turned to look at him, "Take out your phone and let me see it."
Cheng Zhe's eyes flickered. "Dad, there's nothing on my phone. Nothing interesting to watch."
"I'll know if there is one after I look at it. Give me the phone." Cheng Sheng said.
Cheng Zhe pursed his lips and said, "I forgot to bring my phone. I'll show it to you when I get back."
"Really? Isn't your cell phone in your left trouser pocket?" Li Zhi said casually.
