Xia Ningxi looked at the fair and slender hand lying across the doorknob and didn't know what to do.
"Run," Huo Nanxiao said dismissively.
Xia Ningxi's face darkened. She wanted to leave, but Huo Nanxiao had to be willing to make way for her. How could she leave when such a grown man was standing right in front of her?
Taking a deep breath, Xia Ningxi tried to regain her composure and said, "Please don't make things difficult for me. I'm just a humble doctor."
"You dare to challenge the dean and lay a hand on the second young lady of the Xia family? You're quite bold, a mere doctor like you." Huo Nanxiao sneered.
Xia Ningxi couldn't help but want to curse.
"What? You feel sorry for me hitting Xia Luoluo? Then why don't you hit her back?"
Huo Nanxiao frowned, pinched Xia Ningxi's face, and said in a deep voice, "You've been getting bolder and bolder lately."
"You're the one with the guts, aren't you? Now that you're married, why are you still bothering me?" Xia Ningxi mocked.
