Chapter 651 He Won't Let You Go
Xia Jingcheng looked intently at Xia Ningxi's face. He wondered if she had been threatened. Given Huo Nanxiao's bastard character, he was capable of anything.
During this period, Xia Ningxi has been embroiled in scandals and her reputation has been damaged. Even so, the attitude of various hospitals towards Xia Ningxi remains very enthusiastic. In the past few days, in addition to the director of Ninghai Hospital constantly trying to persuade Xia Jingcheng, many other hospitals have also extended olive branches to them.
All of this is enough to prove that Xia Ningxi has a very bright future in China.
Even with such a favorable situation, is Xia Ningxi unwilling to stay and work?
Xia Jingcheng sighed: "If you really want to leave, I support you, but I don't want it to be someone forcing you to leave."
“Brother, no, these are all my own thoughts,” Xia Ningxi replied.
Xia Jingcheng asked, "Is Huo Nanxiao willing to let the three children go?"
“I’m willing.” Xia Ningxi nodded.
After seeing Tang En off, Xia Jingcheng took the three children upstairs to wash up and put them to sleep, so Xia Ningxi basically didn't need to take care of them.
She can take time to check on patients' conditions and adjust surgical plans.
With a backlog of surgeries, it wasn't right for Tang En to keep helping her, but she was feeling quite weak lately and had also suffered a head injury. So she picked out some of the simpler surgeries to do herself, so the two of them could share the burden.
What should have taken a month to complete was finished in just half a month.
Ninghai Hospital has other excellent doctors who can take care of patients, so there's basically nothing left for Xia Ningxi to do.
After asking the dean for a week's leave, Xia Ningxi began to handle the matter of the three children withdrawing from school.
The kindergarten was puzzled and called Huo Nanxiao to ask for his opinion. After all, Huo Nanxiao was the one who initially handled the enrollment procedures for the three children, so even if the children wanted to leave, they should inform Huo Nanxiao in advance.
"Mr. Huo, these three children are doing well at our kindergarten. Why do you suddenly want to withdraw them? Is this your idea?" The teacher was very puzzled.
Huo Nanxiao asked, "Who processed the child's withdrawal from school?"
"She is the child's mother," the teacher replied.
Huo Nanxiao said, "Something has come up recently, so please ask them for half a month's leave."
"Does Mr. Huo mean the children will continue to attend our kindergarten?" The teacher was very happy.
Huo Nanxiao did not answer the question; he hung up the phone.
He glanced at the time; it was 11 a.m., almost time to get off work. But Huo Nanxiao couldn't wait a moment longer, especially knowing that Xia Ningxi was processing the children's withdrawal procedures. He rushed straight to the kindergarten.
Xia Ningxi was explaining the reasons for the children's withdrawal from school to their teachers, but the teachers refused to budge.
Upon seeing Huo Nanxiao arrive, the teacher was overjoyed. "Miss Xia, you should discuss this matter with Mr. Huo."
"Why should I talk to him? This is my child. If you don't want to, I'll just take my child away." She was just giving the kindergarten an explanation, which is why she went through the normal process. She never expected that these people would try to keep her child here and not let her leave.
Then she has no face left to give them!
She prepared to leave with her three children, only to find Huo Nanxiao already standing behind her.
"Give them a two-week leave," Huo Nanxiao said to the teacher, glancing past Xia Ningxi.
The teacher smiled and nodded: "Okay, no problem."
Huo Nanxiao's gaze then settled on Xia Ningxi. "Come out with me."
Xia Ningxi led her three children out of the kindergarten, ignoring Huo Nanxiao, and walked straight toward the main road.
"Stop." Huo Nanxiao called out to her.
Xia Ningxi stopped and asked, "Mr. Huo, is there something you need?"
"Get in my car," Huo Nanxiao said.
Xia Ningxi refused: "No need, I'll take a taxi back."
Huo Nanxiao immediately instructed the driver to put the three children in the car.
Xia Ningxi tried to stop him, but Huo Nanxiao grabbed her wrist. She was angry: "What are you doing?"
"Why are you helping the children withdraw from school? They were doing just fine here," Huo Nanxiao questioned.
Xia Ningxi was amused: "Isn't Young Master Huo being a bit too nosy? If you're so free, let's just go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and get the divorce certificate."
"Don't change the subject," Huo Nanxiao said coldly.
“I’m going abroad, so naturally I need to go through the procedures to withdraw the children from school. Since you’ve already agreed to give me custody of all three children, you shouldn’t be meddling in other people’s business.”
Xia Ningxi tried to forcefully shake off Huo Nanxiao's hand, but failed!
The man's large hand gripped her tightly with astonishing force, and she was unable to break free.
"Let me go!" she said angrily.
Huo Nanxiao looked down at her fair face and said, word by word, "It would be more suitable for the child to live in China."
"You don't need to persuade me, I have to leave with the child anyway." Xia Ningxi didn't want to waste any more words with Huo Nanxiao.
Her mind was made up; even the Emperor himself couldn't change her mind.
“My father will not agree to you taking the child away,” Huo Nanxiao warned.
Xia Ningxi said, "I will explain things clearly to Dad himself. The children may not acknowledge their biological father, but they still need to acknowledge their grandparents. I believe they are reasonable people and will not be as unreasonable as some people."
The veiled criticism is quite obvious.
Huo Nanxiao's handsome face turned slightly pale. Not wanting to argue with Xia Ningxi about this matter, he got into the car directly.
"Mr. Huo, shall we go back to the company?" the driver asked.
Huo Nanxiao glanced at Xia Ningxi, "Are you hungry?"
"I'm not hungry," Xia Ningxi replied.
Huo Nanxiao asked the three children, "What do you want to eat for lunch?"
Huo Yuan said, "I'm fine with anything."
Xingxing glanced at Xia Ningxi, who had no expression on her face, and replied, "I want to go back to my uncle's house."
Chu Chu tilted her head and said, "I want to eat cake, I want to eat strawberry cake."
Huo Nanxiao smiled gently, patted Chu Chu's little head, and asked the driver to find the nearest cake shop so he could take the child inside.
All three children loved small cakes, so Huo Nanxiao bought several for each of them.
"Daddy, I want to eat barbecue again. Can you take me to eat barbecue?" Huo Yuan suddenly asked.
Huo Nanxiao agreed without hesitation: "Okay, let's go eat barbecue together."
"Yay!" Huo Yuan was very happy and pulled his younger siblings: "Let's go eat barbecue together."
Xingxing and Chuchu both looked at Xia Ningxi, seeking her opinion.
"Let's go together then."
How could she bear to disappoint her three children?
The family of five got into the car with the newly bought small cakes.
As they approached the mall, Huo Nanxiao's phone rang. He frowned and glanced thoughtfully at Xia Ningxi. Seeing that her attention was focused on the children, Huo Nanxiao answered the call in a low voice.
"What's up?"
"Nan Xiao, could you come here? Uncle Huo is at Qinyuan." Xia Wanwan's voice was filled with fear.
