Chapter 80 Abandoning Wife and Children
Huo Jinchuan didn't force Xia Ningxi to accept his advances so quickly, saying, "Think it over carefully, and tell me your answer when you've thought it through."
Xia Ningxi didn't want to talk to him.
After Huo Jinchuan left, Xia Ningxi immediately returned to the ward.
When Huo Yuan returned, he learned that Huo Nanxiao had already gone on a business trip, and he became very disappointed.

She picked Huo Yuan up and strode past Su Huixue.
Su Huixue was stunned by Xia Ningxi's words. Although she found Xia Ningxi strange, she didn't dare to call Huo Nanxiao to ask and could only watch Xia Ningxi leave.
The burning gaze seemed to ignite a fire within Xia Ningxi.
Xia Ningxi could feel the intense heat very clearly.
She carried Huo Yuan and walked even faster, afraid that Su Huixue would catch up.
Fortunately, she didn't.
Xia Ningxi successfully took Huo Yuan away from the hospital; the little guy was willing to go with her!
She quickly took a taxi to her rural hometown in the countryside.
The journey takes more than an hour.
It was Huo Yuan's first time taking a taxi this far, and he peered out the window in surprise: "Dr. Xia, where are we? Are we going to find the stars?"
“Yes, Xingxing lives in the countryside, which is quite far. Let me know if you get carsick.” Xia Ningxi gently rubbed the little guy’s head.
Huo Yuan shook his head: "I don't get carsick. I want to see Xingxing soon. I haven't seen him for many days."
Xia Ningxi smiled slightly; the little guy was quite looking forward to going home with her.
Xia Ningxi was secretly delighted.
The taxi driver overheard their conversation and asked curiously, "Are you a doctor?"
“Mm,” Xia Ningxi replied.
The driver said, "Is this your patient? Why are you taking a child to such a far place? Where are his parents?"
Clearly, the driver had already identified Xia Ningxi as a child trafficker. He slowed down considerably as he spoke, and his eyes were filled with suspicion as he looked at Xia Ningxi's face through the rearview mirror.
Xia Ningxi said, "I am his mother."
Huo Yuan looked up in shock.
"?" The driver was equally taken aback.
The two, one big and one small, had almost identical expressions of astonishment.
The driver still didn't believe Xia Ningxi's words. What kind of doctor would take an injured patient to the countryside by taxi alone?
He silently memorized the name tag on Xia Ningxi's chest, and after dropping her off at her destination, he remembered the exact location. He even secretly took photos with his phone after Xia Ningxi and Huo Yuan got out of the car.
As the driver was filming, his hand froze. A child who looked exactly like Huo Yuan appeared on his screen.
The child had barely stepped out of the house when he rushed to hug Xia Ningxi, calling her "Mommy" so sweetly.
"It really is his biological mother. I thought I'd run into a human trafficker." The driver breathed a sigh of relief, put down his phone, and drove away.
Huo Yuan was so shocked by Xia Ningxi's words, "I am his mother," that he couldn't recover for a long time. After getting out of the car, he was completely dazed, especially when Xia Ningxi took his hand. Huo Yuan had a feeling he had never had before!
He was very nervous!
I'm so nervous I can't speak!
Looking carefully at his hand held by Xia Ningxi, Huo Yuan noticed how warm and soft Xia Ningxi's palm was. Yet, when she held his hand, it was full of strength, which made Huo Yuan feel very safe.
After hugging Xia Ningxi, Xia Xingxing hugged Huo Yuan, giving him a big bear hug that brought him back to his senses.
"Brother Huo Yuan, you're discharged from the hospital?" Xia Xingxing was overjoyed.
"No, no, Daddy's away on a business trip. Dr. Xia and I came to visit you." Huo Yuan replied tremulously, his face flushed.
Xia Xingxing was overjoyed: "Great! Come with me. I have lots of building blocks at home. I begged my uncle to buy them for me yesterday. They're so much fun!"
"You have an uncle?" Huo Yuan asked enviously.
Xia Xingxing proudly raised her chin: "Of course! My uncle is an amazing cook. Nobody in the world can cook better than him. Would you like to try some?"
Huo Yuan nodded vigorously; he wanted to eat too.
Xia Xingxing said, "Then you can live at my house from now on?"
"This..." Huo Yuan hesitated for a long time, feeling that it was not a good idea.
Xia Xingxing was unhappy: "You don't want to?"
“Daddy won’t agree,” Huo Yuan replied.
Xia Xingxing felt a surge of hatred when he thought of that bastard Huo Nanxiao. He smiled and said, "You're a man, you should have your own opinions. Don't listen to your daddy in everything. You should stand up and fight back against him."
"Isn't this a bad idea?" Huo Yuan was terrified; it was the first time anyone had used the word "resistance" in front of him.
Xia Xingxing said, "What's wrong with that? You can't listen to your daddy forever, can you? What will you do if he doesn't want you anymore?"
"Daddy won't! He won't abandon me." Huo Yuan's eyes reddened with fear.
Xia Xingxing said, "Hmph, your daddy is a bad guy who likes to abandon his wife and children. He will definitely leave you when he falls for another woman. How about this, you stay and be my mommy's son, so you won't be abandoned."
