Chapter 109 Venison

Zhou Yian saw his relieved face and snorted in his heart.

Of course it won’t be that simple.

They haven’t had lunch yet. Zhou Yian is a little hungry from crying, and Song Songbai is probably hungry too.

She took the deer out of the space and said, "I'm going to cook. You take the knife and divide it."

Song Songbai was silent, and then tried to ask, "Are you going to eat this for five days?"

It's quite cruel to make him eat this when they were sharing the kang.

"No, I'm not eating lunch today." Zhou Yian replied with a smile. It was too late to cook today.

That means you can eat it in the next few days.

Song Songbai resigned himself to his fate and took a knife to cut it into large pieces, separating the antlers and deer offal.

It's the Bucks after all.

Clean the deerskin and set it aside.

Zhou Yian also fried two dishes, so we will have a big dinner in the evening.

Everyone is hungry.

After making the food and putting it aside, Zhou Yian felt that he was cooking faster and faster.

The deer was quite big. Zhou Yian had finished cutting it, but Song Songbai was still cutting it up. His dagger was quite sharp. No one knew how he got it on the train. He must have smuggled it in.

Zhou Yian looked at the pieces that had been cut, picked up a few pieces and put them in a basin, soaking them in salt water to remove the fishy smell.

When she lived with her grandfather, she saw him cook it. If wild deer were not soaked, the fishy smell would not be removed and the deer would not taste good.

That’s right, Zhou Yian had a headache looking at the deer blood in the space. She had no idea what to do with it.

I had no choice but to leave it alone for now and ask some experienced ladies another day.

Song Songbai also cleaned up without saying a word, took water and started to clean himself and the ground.

Zhou Yian put the venison into the space with a smile.

Although she had strategically retreated against Song Songbai that day, wasn't she still victorious now? She wasn't afraid of eating venison anymore.

She's a genius for solving two problems at once.

Song Songbai felt amused when he saw her smug look. He just hoped she wouldn't cry.

"It's time for dinner," Zhou Yian hurriedly greeted him. "You still have to drive the tractor this afternoon. I'll take a few more pictures of you and fill up the film before developing it."

Song Songbai promised her, "I haven't taken pictures of you yet, I'll take a few pictures of you later."

Zhou Yian, with food in his mouth, quickly shook his head.

Song Songbai, "Hmm?"

He swallowed his food hard and said, "I cried today. It was too ugly. I'll shoot again in two days."

Indeed, they had never taken photos like this before, mainly because Zhou Yian used the camera as a submission tool from the beginning.

Song Songbai stared at her slightly red and swollen eyes, feeling distressed. "If you have anything to say in the future, just tell me. I will agree to it even if you don't cry."

"No way, you ignored me this morning." Zhou Yian muttered. She brought him water and took pictures of him, yet he treated her like this.

"I really won't do that anymore," Song Songbai reflected on himself and realized that he shouldn't be like this. He should talk to her properly.

"Then why are you angry again?" Zhou Yian was quite satisfied with his answer and asked him casually.

Song Songbai paused. This crying made his accusation seem a bit untenable. "Ge Qiuze said you tipped off Cheng Fei."

"Huh?" Stupid Ge Qiuze, didn't you say you wouldn't say it?!

"You lied to me. It was a thank-you gift from Cheng Fei, but you said you bought it yourself."

"I didn't lie to you," Zhou Yian said, feeling a little embarrassed. "I just didn't say it."

Song Songbai recalled her statement, which indeed didn't specify how it came about. "You're quite good at it."

"Then I'm afraid you'll be angry. If you weren't angry, I would have told you."

Song Songbai was also helpless because of her blaming him, "Then can't you just not do it?"

"Your partner," Zhou Yian explained, deliberately choosing a good reason to answer him, "I'm doing this for your own good."

"Okay." Song Songbai had already lost his temper after crying today. "Next time, just give them a message and leave. You don't have to help them move their things. What if we really get blocked? Are you going to give up your life?"

"Okay, I understand." Zhou Yian nodded calmly, "I'm sorry for making my husband worry."

Song Songbai looked at her smiling with red eyes and nose, and he didn't know what to feel.

He always thought he was doing well, but he never asked her what she thought of his performance. "If I'm not doing well in the future, just tell me directly."

"Okay." Zhou Yian agreed without hesitation, and said, "This is my first time being someone else's wife. If there's anything wrong with me, tell me."

For the first time, Song Songbai was shocked by her choice of words. "Just this once, don't talk nonsense."

Does she want to be someone else's wife for the second time?

Zhou Yian was amused by his frown, wanting to give him a cold face but not wanting to. "Yeah, just this once. Don't keep picking on my little mistakes in sentences."

"Okay." Song Songbai also laughed with her. He was quite surprised. "Then can the five days be shorter, honey?"

"Think more about the good things, isn't it better than a month?"
