Chapter 13 Furniture Purchase

The water is boiled.

Coolie Song Songbai started working.

First, flush the barrel. Then add water.

After putting the water in, Zhou Yian grabbed the corner of Song Songbai's clothes. He didn't know what to say, "I'll go back and pay you back."

Song Songbai smiled, knowing what she wanted to say, "I'll wait for you outside, don't worry."

"Okay~"

Why is she so gentle all of a sudden? I feel like I'm falling for her. Zhou Yian covered her face.

I took a comfortable hot bath in the wooden tub, changed into clean clothes, and felt refreshed.

He walked out feeling refreshed, and for some reason he smiled happily at Song Zhiqing.

Song Songbai's eyes flashed.

He walked in naturally and poured out the water in her wooden bucket.

Zhou Yian then called out to Ge Qing, "Do you know where in the village we can get furniture made? There's no furniture in the educated youth compound, and we're planning to buy some."

"Sure, I know someone who can make furniture. I'll talk to my sister-in-law and take you there." Xiao Geqing said crisply.

Pulling Song Songbai and following Xiao Geqing, they arrived in a short while.

"Uncle Li, these are the new educated youth. They want to exchange some furniture." Little Ge Qing knocked on the door and spoke to the uncle inside.

"Is that Qingqing? You're an educated youth? Sure, come in." Uncle Li greeted them. "You can take a look and see if there's anything you like."

Zhou Yian walked in. The old man was quite old and seemed to be a carpenter. The whole room was filled with wood and furniture.

She looked at each piece of furniture one by one. Each one was made very smoothly, without any splinters, and coated with a layer of varnish. It was obvious that the people who made them were very serious and attentive.

She picked out two cabinets and a table at a glance, and thought of the wooden tub she had just used for bathing.

"Uncle, do you have a wooden tub for bathing?"

"Yes." The old man led Zhou Yian to a room nearby. Inside was a wooden barrel, not very big, but a little small. There were also some small items placed beside it.

"Okay, this is it." Zhou Yian walked in and looked at them one by one.

Bought two more stools.

Song Songbai also bought a cabinet, a table and a stool.

"That's all, sir. How much is it?" Zhou Yian asked.

"A cabinet is three dollars, a table is four dollars, a stool is one dollar, and the barrel is big, so it's six dollars." The old man rubbed his hands and replied, afraid they would think it was too expensive. "These are all made of good material and painted, so they won't go bad."

"Okay, then how much is it in total..." Zhou Yian was brainstorming frantically.

"A total of 26 yuan." Song Songbai took out the money he had taken out before going out and handed it to Uncle Li.

"Okay." Uncle Li took the money and said, "You bought so much, young woman. I'll give you a small dressing box as a gift."

Gave a gift.

Not bad, not bad. Besides the feeling of getting an advantage, there is another more exciting emotion wandering in my chest.

Zhou Yian laughed secretly, "Thank you, sir. And thank you, Ge Qing, for bringing us here. We'll take the furniture back first."

He stuffed two more candies into little Ge Qing's mouth.

Song Songbai stuffed as many cabinets and tables as possible into the wooden barrel, filling it to the brim.

Looking at the remaining table and stool, he asked Zhou Yian, "Is this okay?"

"Of course! Don't underestimate me." Zhou Yian replied unconvinced.

Song Songbai looked at her proud expression, picked up the wooden barrel and walked towards the educated youth compound.

Zhou Yian followed Song Songbai carrying the furniture.
