Chapter 255: Quarrel

After Zhou Yian finished reading the red articles in the newspaper, he found some stories and songs that were absolutely correct and played them, filling the radio station.

The day's work ended like this. The morning sickness had improved a little in the past two days, and she felt good according to her physical condition. After all, in this era, there were not many people who ate as well as they did. Many people had a harder time getting pregnant because of poor health or physical problems.

But for now, Zhou Yian feels that he can still continue to work, otherwise, he has not found a good candidate to take his place when the time comes.

Zhou Yian was still thinking in her mind that when the time comes to give birth, she will have to find someone more reliable to take over. As she was walking and thinking, she heard all kinds of crying sounds coming from upstairs.

Zhou Yian paused, not knowing whether he should go up.

If she had heard such things before she was pregnant, she would have gone up without thinking, but now that she was pregnant, she was a little afraid that it would affect herself. After all, in Song Songbai's eyes, she was now a relatively fragile porcelain doll.

But it’s not a good idea to always stand here.

Walking up slowly, using the stairs as cover, Zhou Yian cautiously peeked out.

I saw that the ones quarreling were Hu Jiangjiang's family.

The argument was quite intense.

Zhou Yian listened carefully to a few words, which were about whether the child was abused or not.

"Why should Chenggong and I send most of our monthly salary back home, only to give sweet potatoes to my daughter Shuishui? Why shouldn't we give her any of the meat we bought at home?"

"Girls in any family can eat meat. It's always the boys who eat it." Grandma Xu was naturally unwilling to accept her daughter-in-law's casual accusation and started to defend herself, "It's not like I didn't give your son meat."

The two children were still crying and watching how the situation would develop. Hu Shuishui didn't know what she had said wrong, and now she was arguing with her grandmother again.

She was a little scared and cried, "It's okay, I don't have to eat meat."

After hearing this, Zhou Yian felt a little sorry for her. Although the original owner didn't have her mother at home, she still had rice and meat to eat.

Now, although this girl named Hu Shuishui has her own parents, she seems to have not had a good life under the care of her grandmother. She looks sensible.

Sometimes Zhou Yian could see her working skillfully next door.

Zhou Yian felt sorry for him, and Hu Jiangjiang felt even more sad. "Why does Big Brother's daughter get to eat meat but doesn't have to work?"

"Mom, you're using Xu Chenggong's and my salary to support my eldest and third brother's families, yet you don't treat my children well. You really have no conscience!"

"How can you be so heartless? I worked so hard to raise our son, so why shouldn't he pay me a salary? I also worked so hard to raise your child, and you say that to me?" Granny Xu looked insulted and simply sat down on the ground and started pounding her fists. "My life is so miserable! Oh my God! I've worked so hard all my life, but in the end, my daughter-in-law still can't tolerate me. Why is my life so miserable? What's the point of having a son?"

Hu Jiangjiang was heartbroken by her singing and acting style. It was obviously her daughter who was wronged, but she still blamed him for her mistakes.

What's wrong with her?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. Unable to argue, she simply reached out and pulled Granny Xu up. "How have I ever wronged you? I've been sending my salary back home for so many years, and have I ever said I didn't want to? And yet you still want my daughter to take care of your family, and you still say you have a hard life. Our Shui Shui is the one who has a truly hard life. She's only 6 years old!"

No matter how you look at it, this doesn't make sense. Her family paid money and still wanted their daughter to work.

Recently, we often hear Hu Jiangjiang's family quarreling. The last time was about whether to go to kindergarten. Basically, nothing can be hidden in the tube-shaped building. Everyone knows about any movement.

So sometimes Zhou Yian didn't dare to show his family's meals to others, and he didn't cook much anymore. But even so, the fact that they often went to the cafeteria to eat was talked about privately by several people. Fortunately, both of them were working and had no children, so at most they would say that they were young and didn't know how to live, and that everything would be fine when they had children.

But Zhou Yian felt that even if she had a child, she would not give all the good things to her child.

Hu Jiangjiang wanted to pull Grandma Xu up and prevent her from rolling on the ground, but she couldn't do it. She had made up her mind to get away with it by being unreasonable. After all, she hadn't been nice to Xu Shuishui either. In her mind, wasn't it natural for a girl of her second son to do some work?

People around were also trying to dissuade him. Sister Sun felt there was no need to make such a big deal about it, and she advised Hu Jiangjiang, "Isn't it just a little bit mean to your daughter? What's the big deal? As long as you treat your son well, that's all. Look, both children are scared. Stop making a fuss."

Zhou Yian felt it was outrageous. No wonder Sister Sun could raise such sons. When being scolded, Zhou Yian did not see her sons protect their mother. Logically, a teenager should have done something.

"You can feel sorry for your own son, but my daughter is also my child. Why can't I ask for justice? Why do you treat my daughter like this?" Hu Jiangjiang simply couldn't listen, because in her mind this was not a son-daughter relationship. Why did her eldest brother's daughter have meat to eat and didn't have to work? She and Xu Chenggong sent money back, but he still treated his own child like this.

"What did I do to her? Did I give her enough to eat or drink?" Grandma Xu refused to give in.

This made Hu Jiangjiang, who already had a bad temper, go back to his room and get a rolling pin.
