Chapter 111 The Imitator

Come on, come on, it's not wind or rain, it's not thunder, it's just a little princess carry, Jiang Xu felt that he could handle it perfectly well.

Seeing Jiang Xu turn around, Gu Li loosened her grip on his wrist.

He noticed that Gu Li's expression became smug after he agreed, like a cunning fox suddenly appearing. Jiang Xu decisively turned around again, then took a large step, "I suddenly feel that it still won't work. I need some time to prepare."

Gu Li wasn't about to give Jiang Xu another chance. "Wait!" he said urgently. "Turn around." His breathing was exceptionally clear, filled with exhaustion and panting.

Jiang Xu paused subconsciously, turned around, and his next thought was that Gu Li really should go into the entertainment industry.

Gu Li rushed over, showing no sign of fatigue. The curve of her lips clearly revealed her excitement. "Want to run? Give up..." However, the next moment, panic appeared on Gu Li's face.

Jiang Xu watched as the person running towards him seemed to trip over something inexplicably and suddenly lost his balance.

He stepped forward to help her up, but he couldn't control the distance between them. He didn't manage to help Gu Li up, and instead, he was pulled backward by the inertia.

In a moment of panic, Jiang Xu grabbed Gu Li's arm and slammed him onto the bed right at their feet.

How should I put it? Not bad, but not particularly good either.

Gu Li cooperated as much as she could with Jiang Xu's movements, so the two of them landed safely on the bed in the end.

Jiang Xu was lying down, and he pressed down on top of Jiang Xu.

A wave of embarrassment and speechlessness washed over him. Gu Li reacted quickly, trying to get up. But their legs were intertwined, and his movement was halfway halted.

Now their faces were even closer, their noses almost touching. Jiang Xu sighed softly, "Stop fidgeting, how about lying down?"

As soon as Jiang Xu finished speaking, he took action. He was still holding Gu Li's arm, and with a little force, Gu Li lay down next to Jiang Xu.

Gu Li just lay there, saying, "It's clearly you who wanted to cause trouble, look how much I'm going to cooperate with you." He was tired and gave up.

Jiang Xu replied, "Okay, you'll cooperate." The bed was so soft and comfortable that he didn't really want to get up. "What was the part you didn't finish saying after you gave up earlier?"

Gu Li: "..." I'm about to be attacked by memories. "It's said in conjunction with the scene, not on its own."

Jiang Xu's curiosity was piqued. "How about we act it out again, and you continue?"

Gu Li said, "Okay, as long as the ending is what I want, I don't mind." He refused to be awkward, "Right? A princess carry."

Jiang Xu, “.......”

Gu Li turned his head to look at Jiang Xu. "Hey," he said with a smirk, "keep acting, keep acting. It's quite comfortable acting like this." His tone changed back to the one he had just used when he was running. "Give up. Your brother will be gentler with you. I've stopped you. It's your turn to react."

Jiang Xu felt his arm being nudged, and he turned his head to look at Jiang Xu, saying, "Isn't this kind of acting inappropriate?"

Gu Li: "How wonderful, so comfortable and relaxing. It's your turn, give me a princess carry."

Jiang Xu: "How should I react?"

Gu Li looked at him with an "I don't know" expression and said, "Think about it yourself, princess carry."

Jiang Xu, “…Can’t we just talk properly?”

Gu Li said, "It's not that it's impossible, but I'm the kind of person who's afraid of forgetting things if I don't do them. I always have to find a way to remind myself," he finished, blinking his eyes, his whole demeanor clear and somewhat innocent. "I think this method is pretty good, what do you think? ...

Jiang Xu reached out and covered Gu Li's mouth with his hand. His touch was very light, so it didn't affect Gu Li's ability to continue speaking. But Gu Li stopped talking. He just smiled and blinked at Jiang Xu, his eyelashes fluttering.

Jiang Xu: "If I do it, I won't say anything."

Gu Li chuckled quietly, pointing to Jiang Xu's hand covering his mouth. Jiang Xu pulled away from Gu Li before speaking, "Then there's no need to remind him, is there?"

Jiang Xu nodded, stood up and reached out to Gu Li again, "Get up, you can't finish this lying down."

Gu Li grasped Jiang Xu's hand. "Yes, that's right."

The anticipation rises the moment you shake hands, and the outcome after the twists and turns only adds to the curiosity.

The two stood facing each other. Gu Li looked at Jiang Xu and asked, "Are you ready?"

Jiang Xu nodded.

Gu Li, "Are you really ready?"

Jiang Xu said, "Hmm, are you not ready? Let me do it..." His words were interrupted by Gu Li's sudden movement.

Gu Li bent down and reached out, and Jiang Xu's feet left the ground. The moment he was airborne, he quickly looked at Gu Li. The red-haired man had his head slightly lowered, and you could see his light-colored pupils under his fine eyelashes.

After that, Gu Li also looked at Jiang Xu.

One of them looked up slightly, and the other looked down slightly. The distance between them was just enough to see the emotions in each other's eyes. Gu Li blinked and said, "Shouldn't you put your arm around me? That's how they act in TV dramas."

Jiang Xu said, "Oh, is that so?" He reached out and cupped Gu Li's head in his hands, then gently rubbed her red hair with his fingers.

Gu Li pretended not to care and said, "Come on, tell me which TV series it is that shows, I'll watch it all today."

Jiang Xu withdrew his hand. "Let me think about it," he said, his head lowered, his eyelashes casting shadows. "I suddenly thought of something," he said, then put his arm around Gu Li's neck, a faint smile playing in his eyes. "It should be like this."

Gu Li felt Jiang Xu's sudden movement, and the feeling of being embraced was particularly clear. After a moment of silence, he nodded, "As expected, the TV series we watch must be the same."

Jiang Xu loosened his grip slightly and gently placed his hand on Gu Li's shoulder. "I didn't remember it from TV," he said in a lower voice. "Where do you think I remembered it from?"

Gu Li suddenly realized that this was a trap. "I suddenly remembered that I haven't finished reading something." He put Jiang Xu down and was about to run outside.

This time it was Jiang Xu's turn to stop him. "What are you looking at? I recently saw something I wanted to share with you," he paused for a moment before continuing, "It's called 'The Imitator,' do you know it?"

Gu Li turned around. "Now I understand."

Jiang Xu smiled and said, "Then tell me how well I imitated her?" Gu Li had hooked her arm around him like that before, but Gu Li was quite confused at the time.

Gu Li smiled back at Jiang Xu, "I think my imitation was pretty good too." When Jiang Xu picked him up, it was quite sudden. Gu Li seemed to suddenly remember something and took a step forward to close the distance between them, "I think you're still missing something."

Jiang Xu, “Hmm?” The fox’s tail reappeared, half-hidden. “What?” he asked, matching the red-haired fox’s expression.

Gu Li said, "You should lean on me, how about we start over?" Since the jar is already broken, he might as well look at it from a different angle; he couldn't afford to lose in a verbal exchange.
