They parted shortly after touching each other, and enthusiastic applause erupted the moment they separated.
Jiang Xu and Gu Li turned their heads to look, and saw that the four of them were smiling and looking at them with a peaceful expression, as if they were seeing their own children finally succeed.
Lu Chao said with a grin, "Congratulations, congratulations! The difficult Gu Li has been won over."
Xu Lang: "I never expected that you two would not only be the first among us to find a partner, but also the first to be completely tied together."
Ji Hai: "Locked up, the key is lost."
Xie Tao: "Found the key, dissolved and destroyed it; it has been destroyed."
The starry sky above was bright, and a flash of light made it even brighter. A shower of rose petals fell, covering the faces and heads of the group. The air was filled with the fragrance of the flowers, and romance was as pervasive as the scent.
Gu Li looked up and felt a cool sensation on his eyes. He instinctively closed his eyes.
Jiang Xu watched as the bright red petals fell into Gu Li's eyes, causing his eyelashes to tremble slightly, making him look like a threatened animal.
He plucked the petal from his fingertips, watching the dewdrops cling to Gu Li's eyelids.
Just as Gu Li was about to open her eyes, she felt a warmth on her eyelids. Warm fingertips gently wiped away the water stains.
When Gu Li opened her eyes, she saw Jiang Xu withdraw his hand and look down at the flower petals he had taken from Gu Li's face, seemingly deep in thought.
Jiang Xu looked at the petals stained with a few drops of water, and he felt that the red on Guo Guli's face made the current color particularly dazzling.
Gu Li, “What’s wrong? These petals…” His voice trailed off.
Jiang Xu and Gu Li looked at each other. He smiled slightly, and the next moment the petal was in front of his lips. He lowered his head slightly as if smelling the fragrance of the flower. Only Gu Li could see it clearly.
Jiang Xu kissed the petal.
Her eyelashes were slightly lowered, and the emotions in her eyes were indistinct. From the side, her face appeared exceptionally pure, contrasting with the bright red petals. This scene stimulated Gu Li.
A tingling sensation surged up, leaving Gu Li somewhat at a loss.
The moment Jiang Xu left the petal, he looked at Gu Li. Gu Li seemed to be burned, and after only a second of eye contact, she looked away.
When he saw the glass of red wine with rose petals on the table, he felt very thirsty, his throat was parched as if it were on fire. Gu Li picked up the glass and drank it all in one gulp, a drop of the slightly red liquid sliding down his lips.
With a flick of his finger, he wiped away the wine, drinking a glass of red wine with a touch of heroic spirit.
As the heat rushed to his face, Gu Li realized the alcohol content must be quite high. He turned to Jiang Xu and asked, "How strong is this liquor?"
Jiang Xu thought for a moment, then smiled as if reminiscing, "It's only about 40 or 50 degrees, probably diluted. You drank it a bit too fast."
Lu Chao shook the dice. "Exactly, it's like someone's trying to steal it from you. We're waiting to see you drink the nuptial wine."
Gu Li frowned and looked at the glass. There was still some wine left at the bottom. He swirled it and watched the drops of wine flow. "Wait until I see you two drink the nuptial wine. You watch too much TV, don't you? Tsk tsk tsk, did you give your wedding gift money? I'll see."
"Hey," Xu Lang's eyes lit up, "Does giving it to me mean I can see it?"
Gu Li tilted his head. "It's too late. Even if we give it to you, there's nothing left to see." He raised his wine glass to the group. "The wine is gone."
Ji Hai: "There's still wine, that's fine."
Xie Tao nodded. "Yes, there's more."
Gu Li looked at Jiang Xu, "Anything else?"
Jiang Xu smiled and shook his head. "No, that's all."
“I knew it,” Gu Li suddenly stood up, but her steps were a little unsteady. Jiang Xu helped her up, but Gu Li waved her hand to tell Jiang Xu not to help her. “Next time, remember to pay before you make any requests.”
After Gu Li finished speaking, she grabbed Jiang Xu's wrist and walked to the sofa. Once they sat down, Jiang Xu looked at Gu Li's face and asked, "Are you drunk?" His voice was very soft, and only the two of them could hear it.
Gu Li turned his head to look over, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I be drunk?" He hooked something off the table, "This little cup is just enough to make me fine even if you give me ten or eight more."
"Really?" Jiang Xu asked, looking at Gu Li's hand.
Gu Li was holding a microphone upside down in her hand, which she was now showing off to Jiang Xu.
“Of course,” Gu Li said, his eyes were clear, but his cheeks were flushed, so he didn’t look drunk. He nudged Lü Chao next to him with his elbow, “Fill my cup.”
Lu Chao glanced at it briefly before turning back and said, "There's no more wine, let's drink next time."
"Hmm?" Gu Li turned his head to look at the table. "You don't believe I can drink, do you? The wine isn't in your hand, is it?" As he spoke, he reached for the dice cup in Lü Chao's hand.
Lu Chao gave it to him in a good-natured manner, shook his head at Jiang Xu, and mouthed, "He's had too much to drink."
Jiang Xu nodded to indicate that he understood. He hadn't expected Gu Li to get drunk so easily. He hadn't noticed before, but today's alcohol was strong and Gu Li drank it quickly, so she did get drunk easily. Jiang Xu had spent a long time trying to get her to drink, but Gu Li drank it like she had swallowed a ginseng fruit.
He had no choice but to make a cup with a lower alcohol content for Gu Li next time.
They used to drink often, and Gu Li even kept a lot of alcohol at home. They shouldn't get drunk so easily.
Jiang Xu thought again, one possibility is that Gu Li was drunk before, but it wasn't obvious. This time it wasn't obvious from her face, but it was more so than usual, and her behavior was more obvious.
Until he saw Gu Li studying the microphone and dice cup, and after studying them for a while, Gu Li turned her head and looked at him, "Jiang Xu."
Jiang Xu waited for Gu Li to speak.
Gu Li just kept calling, "Jiang Xu, Jiang Xu," he leaned closer, "Jiang Xu?"
"Mm." Jiang Xu had just responded when Gu Lijiu spoke up.
Gu Li showed Jiang Xu what he was holding, "Why can't this wine be poured out?" His tone was confused and carried a hint of barely perceptible grievance.
Jiang Xu looked at the person's furrowed brows and wondered how to pour this out. He thought to himself that the child was worried about it. He wanted to take the things from the person and said, "I'll help you pour it out. You should rest first."
Gu Li thought for a moment and didn't give it to Jiang Xu. He put the things back on the table. "What if you get tired? I don't really want to drink either." He thought for a moment and then grabbed a handful of peanuts and stuffed them into Jiang Xu's palm. "Come on, let's sing together." As he spoke, he clenched his fist and put it to his lips.
Jiang Xu looked at the peanuts in his palm and thought, "They've got a whole set of tricks up their sleeves."
Gu Li turned his head and noticed that Jiang Xu wasn't moving, so he patted Jiang Xu's leg. "Hurry up and raise your microphone. What are you daydreaming about?"
Jiang Xu also clenched his fist and put it to his mouth, saying in a gentle tone, "Okay."
Not long after, Jiang Xu felt a weight on his shoulder. Gu Li was leaning on his shoulder with her eyes closed. He helped her up to make her more comfortable, and then said to the others, "Gu Li is asleep. I'll take everyone to rest first. You guys play first?"
