Chapter 202 Extra 2

Jiang Xu smiled slightly but didn't continue. Instead, he changed the subject, saying, "Shall we start talking?"

“Let’s get started,” Gu Li said after thinking for a moment. “My idea is for us to open up the space and put it together. It’ll be big enough and convenient to get around. What do you think?”

Jiang Xu: "It's like we've been talking at the same time."

Gu Li casually pointed behind him, "That wall, come on, Xiao Jiangzi, send someone to knock on it for me."

Upon hearing his words, Jiang Xu tapped Gu Li's forehead directly with his hand. "Tap, tap right now."

Gu Li stared straight at Jiang Xu. "I said knock on it, not knock on me."

Jiang Xu smiled and said, "They're all the same."

Gu Li's eyes sharpened. "Hmm?" He was about to start making a scene.

As if he had known all along, Jiang Xu firmly restrained Gu Li's hands and feet and whispered in her ear, "Let's get down to business, stop fooling around."

Gu Li clicked his tongue softly. "I'll let you off this time." He stopped moving. "What else do you think there is?"

Jiang Xu: "Let's leave the rest to the renovation company. There's just one more question: where will we live after this?"

Gu Li had really forgotten, but after thinking for a moment, she smiled and said, "Of course, you can make friends when you're in trouble." Her smile was a little mischievous and gloating. "We can stay at Lu Chao's place for a few days, then go to Xu Lang's place for a few more days, and then arrange for us to play together for a few days. Wouldn't that be more fun?"

After thinking for a moment, Jiang Xu nodded decisively, "I think it's a good idea."

At that time, the four members of Lü Chao, each enjoying their leisure, had no idea that this leisure was about to turn into chaos, or rather, chaos that would escalate from one side to the other.

Spring goes and autumn comes, summer departs and winter arrives.

When red paper-cut window decorations adorn every window, the New Year arrives in such a vibrant and festive manner.

The wall separating the two houses had already been broken through, and the two had been living together for several months. They had grown closer and closer, and although they had argued and even fought, they could never hold back for long before one of them would take the initiative to give the other a way out.

Or perhaps they'll exchange a knowing smile, and everything will simply vanish with that smile.

The more they learned about each other, the more grateful they felt for having met, and for not missing out.

New Year's Eve was busy and lively. After hosting Jiang Xu and his companion for a while, Lü Chao and the others would often come over to stay for free, claiming it was a matter of give and take.

Jiang Chen and Zhao Yao also came today, saying it was for the touching family bond.

They would naturally welcome them, and they would open a bottle of fine wine and prepare food. A group of people would gather around, laughing and joking, leaning close to each other.

Meanwhile, the other six people were busy going back and forth between the kitchen and the dining room, while Jiang Xu and Gu Li were resting on the windowsill.

Gu Li looked at the sky outside. The stars were scattered throughout the night on New Year's Eve. He looked at the bright stars and said, "It's New Year's, Jiang Xu."

Jiang Xu looked at him together and said, "Yes, we're celebrating the New Year together."

Gu Li looked at Jiang Xu, whose eyes seemed to still hold the glimmer of stars. "Time flies so fast. Shall we spend next year together too?"

Jiang Xu looked at the starlight and thought the bright spots were dazzling, but he still wanted to look at them even if they were dazzling. "Not just next year, I hope it's every year."

Gu Li smiled and stepped forward. "It was my fault. I didn't say enough," he said, looking at Jiang Xu seriously. "It should be every year."

Just then, the fireworks exploded exceptionally close by, illuminating their faces completely. The interplay of light and shadow made it seem as if everything was bathed in their radiance, and they watched the dazzling fireworks together.

It's not the right time yet; this family set off their fireworks a bit too early, but perhaps the unexpected results will bring something wonderful.

Just like that day, Jiang Xu accidentally climbed over the wall and entered Gu Li's world.

Lu Chao's voice came from inside the room, "Dinner's ready! The two of you hiding on the balcony, come and eat!"

Xu Lang and Jiang Chen flung open the balcony door together, their big smiles beaming with joy. "Dinner's ready!"

The table was laden with dishes of all sizes, a testament to their collective effort. Even though a large portion of the food was delivered, they had still unpacked and arranged it themselves, hadn't they?

They each had a glass of sparkling Sprite next to them, and Jiang Xu was the first to raise his glass. "New Year, new beginnings, cheers!"

Their cups formed a circle, clinking together with a crisp sound, and they all said in unison, "New Year, new beginnings!"

After everyone had finished drinking, Gu Li spoke up, "You all need to work hard next year," he said, looking at each of them one by one, "so that you won't be left far behind me."

Lu Chao couldn't help but be the first to speak, "Tch, enough already, don't force us to gang up on you on the first day of the new year."

Xu Lang laughed, "Brother Li's first sentence of the new year has already set his style, forever staying in the group that stirs up hatred, haha."

Jiang Xu smiled and nodded. "I also think he's too arrogant," he agreed with them, and then said, "But you all really need to work hard, though you can't even come close to me."

Ji Hai couldn't help but look over abruptly, "So this is what you're like, Jiang Xu."

Xie Tao remained calm, saying, "But I've already seen through it all; none of you are up to the task."

Jiang Chen listened to their conversation with a smile and said, "Brother, you're not much better than Brother Li."

Zhao Yao glanced at the table and picked up another shrimp for Jiang Chen. "Come on, eat more vegetables, Xiao Chen."

They joked and laughed, and the atmosphere at the dinner table never cooled down. The New Year should be this lively, a time to gather with friends and family, and a time to look forward to the future with laughter.

After finishing his meal, Gu Li found the remote and turned on the TV. As the prelude to the Spring Festival Gala began, he waved to everyone, "It's here! The must-watch program for the New Year, let's watch the Spring Festival Gala together!"

The group sat around the sofa, leaning against each other. Lü Chaoxian called out, "Where are the sunflower seeds? Let's start eating them!"
