Chapter 39 Joint Signature

Gu Li looked at the pottery wheel again, "Can I say now that I'm allergic to round shapes?"

Jiang Xu, "I can't even stand being allergic to air."

Gu Li: "Alright, let's begin."

After Gu Li finished speaking, he took the clay provided by the shopkeeper and placed it on the surface. Then he scooped up a small amount of water and poured it on, shook his hands, and began to mold the clay. His movements were skillful, and he looked like a veteran.

Jiang Xu said, "It looks very professional, just like those master craftsmen."

Gu Li: "The movements were executed well, but that's about it."

Then, as if to prove that he was really limited to this, the clay became more and more unruly. In just a few minutes, Gu Li's mold collapsed as soon as it was put up, and it is still just a pile of clay.

He looked at Jiang Xu and said, "Come on, show me your talent. I'm tired and want to destroy."

Jiang Xu took over Gu Li's work well, saying, "Take a break and watch the talented players perform."

Gu Li watched quietly, and then he noticed that Jiang Xu's hands were really beautiful. He shifted his gaze and realized that Jiang Xu really seemed to be a naturally gifted player.

The other person's hands seemed to have cast a spell on the clay; what was unruly in their own hands became obedient in the other person's hands, and the basic model was almost ready to emerge in the process.

“That’s great,” the ceramics instructor who taught ceramics came to them again. “I didn’t realize the young man was so patient and skillful.”

Gu Li said, "How could I not see it? It's so obvious." His tone wasn't harsh, but he seemed a little cold.

The ceramics teacher was taken aback. "Yes, yes, but it's rare to see one this successful. Is this your first time here?"

Gu Li nodded. "This is his first time doing it."

The ceramics teacher said, "Will you be doing the coloring yourself afterwards, or will we arrange for someone to do it? The price is very reasonable, and we guarantee your satisfaction."

Jiang Xu had intended to do it himself, but said, "No need, we can do it ourselves." His tone was gentle, and he seemed very easy to talk to.

The ceramics teacher spoke up again, "I noticed that many of their paintings were unsatisfactory the first time. I thought it would be such a waste if your paintings were ruined, since you did such good work. Are you sure you don't need our people to come?"

Jiang Xu wanted to speak again, but Gu Li gave him a confident smile and then stopped talking.

Gu Li: "It's impossible for it to be destroyed; in fact, it'll be more presentable than any of your works."

The young man's tone carried the arrogance of youth, which the ceramics teacher saw as blatant conceit, given his own experience with the red-haired youth's utterly undeveloped skills.

He had originally intended to make a quick buck off these two seemingly well-off young men, but now he was more interested in seeing them make a fool of themselves. "Young man, once you've finished, you'd better let us take a good look. We've never seen a masterpiece like this before; we'll have to rely on you to broaden our horizons," he said sarcastically.

Gu Li: "Of course."

"Hmph." The man snorted and left, running over to the others and saying something. He started looking at Jiang Xu and his group more often, his gazes becoming increasingly complex.

Jiang Xu: "I'm also looking forward to it."

Gu Li looked over when she heard Jiang Xu say that. "Since you have high expectations, then I'll be more serious. Raise your expectations a little higher, and I won't let you down."

Jiang Xu smiled, "It's full, don't worry."

After Jiang Xu finished drying the model, Gu Li began.

Jiang Xu watched as Gu Li changed the moment she picked up the paintbrush.

How did he change? It's hard to describe. It's like he suddenly had an aura around him, an aura that was engraved with his name.

Gu Li started writing very quickly, and at first you couldn't tell anything, but it gradually changed.

The bottle's design evolved from simple to elegant, then to refined, and finally, it became both ancient and modern, exuding a powerful and majestic aura.

It's like an ancient scroll being unfurled, giving you a sense of overwhelming grandeur.

This feeling came quickly, progressed rapidly, and ended just as quickly.

Gu Li finished the drawing and, as was his habit, added his signature. He stared at the signature for a moment, then said, "Tsk, this is such a bad habit of mine. I drew you on a bottle. What am I going to do? Maybe I should make another one, but this time I definitely won't add my signature."

Jiang Xu said, "I originally wanted to do it together. What's wrong with adding a signature? If I make another one, I'll add a signature too." He said it very naturally, "Besides, doing more would be too good for him, so I won't do it."

Gu Li: "Alright then, do you want to join us too?"

Jiang Xu said, "No need." After saying that, he reached out and picked up some ink, then pressed his fingerprint after Gu Li's signature. "This will do."

Gu Li, "Shall we go?"

Jiang Xu said, "Let's go." He looked down and sent a message to the owner of the ceramics shop, giving him an address to deliver the ceramics. Then the two of them left the shop.

As for why they didn't invite the ceramics teacher to come, it's because both of them had forgotten him. He was just an insignificant nobody; Jiang Xu couldn't remember him, and neither could Gu Li. That was all.

The vase remained where it was, receiving gazes and cascading gasps of admiration.

"Wow, look at that! Is that an ornamental item? Why wasn't it there when I came into the store?"

"Yes, otherwise I wouldn't have refused the person who offered to paint it for me. If they could paint something like that to display in my home, I'd be happy to pay a little extra."

"Don't tell me, that's not something from the store. The store's stuff is in the display case."

"Oh dear, those look rather shabby."

"I just heard that shaman who came to sell his services; he's definitely a clown."

"Sigh! Stop talking, that person is coming again."
