Xu Lang glanced at Gu Li and said, "Stop cracking your knuckles. Hai Du has said so many times that the opponent is bad. It's fine to scare others outside, but it's enough to do it casually among your own people. Cracking your knuckles so loudly is just for show."
Gu Li: "Good lad, are you still half asleep?"
Xu Lang: "You've completely woken me up, and I'm exceptionally clear-headed now."
Jiang Xu looked at Gu Li's hand, which was slightly red. "Don't pry it open, does it hurt?"
Gu Li shook her head. "Nothing's wrong."
Xu Lang said, "Great, another one who spoils their child." He then walked towards the wardrobe. "It's really gratifying."
Gu Li said, "We'll go downstairs and wait for you. Hurry up, breakfast time is almost over."
Xu Lang rummaged through his clothes. "Alright, I came down as soon as you came downstairs."
The four people sat facing each other in pairs downstairs, staring at each other. Xu Lang looked at the empty table and asked, "Where's breakfast, Brother Li?"
Gu Li turned to look at Jiang Xu, "Where's breakfast?"
Jiang Xu looked at Xie Tao, "Where's breakfast?"
Xie Tao looked back at Xu Lang one last time, his voice calm, "These two came empty-handed to freeload."
Great, the loop is closed.
Finally, several KFC breakfast sets were placed on the table. Gu Li unpacked them and asked, "You two should be alright, right?"
Xu Lang: "Tell me what it is first, and then we'll decide whether it's a good idea or not."
Gu Li said, "You're being so disrespectful to your new friends. They were planning to invite you to the cultural performance, but look at what happened now..." He pretended to sigh.
Xu Lang, “Jiang Xu,” he looked at Jiang Xu solemnly, “I heard from Chao Zi that you and this guy are classmates and neighbors. You must have had a tough time, sigh.” His sigh was even longer than Gu Li’s.
Jiang Xu: "You've worked hard too, no need to say more."
Gu Li put down what she was holding. "I'm the one who's had the hardest time. I haven't said anything yet, but you two have been holding it in."
Xu Lang sighed again.
Xie Tao asked, "When is the arts performance? Should we go together or separately?" He added, "Besides, I'm the one who'll be working the hardest."
Gu Li said, "It'll be around noon, we can go together then." He took a sip of soy milk and noticed that Xu Lang hadn't touched his fried dough stick for a while. "Lang, you don't like fried dough sticks, right? I'll take care of it for you?"
Xu Lang quickly snatched the fried dough stick from his mouth like a possessive food, "Then bring me your panini, I'll help you finish it."
Gu Li said, "You're asking for too much. The transaction channel is closed." He took another sip of soy milk, and as he put down the cup, a fried dough stick was handed to him by the hand next to him.
Jiang Xu said, "I don't like it either, so please finish it for me."
Gu Li pushed the unopened panini to Jiang Xu. "Ding-dong, transaction successful," he mimicked the electronic voice.
Xu Lang took a bite out of the fried dough stick, chewed it a few times, and swallowed it. "Li, there's a problem with your currency valuation. I suggest you re-evaluate it."
Xie Tao handed his panini to Xu Lang, saying, "Eat your breakfast slowly, be careful not to choke."
Xu Lang looked at the panini, a smile on his baby face, and asked, "Tao, do you want some fried dough sticks?"
Gu Li said coolly, "We suggest that the people on the other side re-evaluate the currency." After he finished speaking, he took apart the fried dough sticks and soaked them in soy milk.
Xu Lang: "I think you're right, Brother Li is Brother Li."
Gu Li nodded. "Good to know."
After they finished eating and were enjoying the air conditioning, Xu Lang looked around and said, "There are exactly four of us."
Gu Li: "Yes, it's a fact that's not very obvious."
Xu Lang: "It's still early."
Jiang Xu: "Hmm, I didn't even notice."
Xu Lang, “…” He shouldn’t have laid the groundwork, “You two should go do a crosstalk routine, you’re really a good match.”
Gu Li said, "There are four of us, and we have plenty of time. So you're suggesting we two perform a crosstalk routine?" He tapped his phone. "Do you think that's reasonable?"
Xu Lang: "You two have led me astray. I'd like to suggest we play a thrilling game of Ludo."
Gu Li said, "If you hadn't said it was Ludo in the end, then I might have believed you were excited." He sat up straight as he spoke, turning off his phone screen as well. "Individual game or team game?"
Jiang Xu and Xie Tao, "Did you two ask us? Is this the decision you've made?"
Xu Lang, "How about a show of hands?"
Gu Li turned to the other two and said, "I think it's okay, what do you two think?"
As Jiang Xu and Xie Tao nodded, Gu Li and Xu Lang exchanged a quick glance, and Gu Li spoke up, "Then three, two, one, let's vote!"
As they raised their hands, they quickly grabbed the wrists of the people next to them.
In the end, all four of them did raise their hands.
Gu Li was holding Jiang Xu's juggling bag, and Xu Lang was holding Xie Tao's juggling bag; overall, the scene was quite harmonious.
Gu Li smiled and let go. "Okay, unanimously approved. Let's play chess and have some fun."
Xu Lang smiled and stood up. "Right away."
Jiang Xu and Xie Tao looked at each other, and Xie Tao nodded, "I'll add you to the list of the hardest working people."
Jiang Xu: "I think so too."
Ludo is a game that relies heavily on luck. In the end, the four players are on their own, which means that whoever can play a six first has the advantage.
Xu Lang and Gu Li's enthusiasm waned after repeated failures to take off, while Jiang Xu and Xie Tao, who had already left the warehouse early on, began a chase-and-pick game.
Xu Lang tossed the dice. "I feel like we're just there to make up the numbers." His dice landed a '1' mercilessly. "Well done, you're getting further and further behind."
Gu Li picked up the dice. "Could it be a feng shui problem?" he said, tossing the dice. The moment it landed, it showed a '6'. "Poor little rascal, your brother Li is about to take off." He tossed the dice again. "Just wait and see, I'll come from behind and surpass you."
