When the school bell rang, two fluffy heads, one black and one red, perked up from their desks by the window. Gu Li rubbed his hair and looked at Jiang Xu. "Your hair is so messy." His voice was hoarse from being woken up and had a slightly drawn-out tone.
Jiang Xu felt that Gu Li was acting like she was being affectionate, and upon reflection, he realized she was right—she was being affectionate, especially towards him. "What's wrong?"
Gu Li leaned against the table and moved closer to Jiang Xu, then raised his hand and chuckled, "Hey," he said, his hand casually ruffling Jiang Xu's hair, "Just like this messy."
Jiang Xu looked at the smile on the face of the person who had successfully played a prank. He felt that his filter was a bit too thick. Maybe it wasn't coquetry, but a smokescreen before planning to do something naughty. But he really thought the smokescreen was pretty good. "Your hair is pretty messy too."
"Really?" Gu Li asked doubtfully, and spoke up just when Jiang Xu thought he was going to dodge, "Then help me sort it out." He turned his head directly to Jiang Xu.
Jiang Xu looked at the red hair in front of him and reached out to rub it a couple of times.
He felt like he was raising a precious cat, a cat that would tease him from time to time and rub against him to show affection.
Either way, it's quite likable.
He likes it this way.
The strands of hair on his fingertips were light and soft, with slightly curled ends that occasionally brushed against Jiang Xu's fingertips, causing a slight tickle. This feeling was exceptionally intoxicating.
Jiang Xu chuckled. "Are you showing off your hair that you just washed yesterday?"
Gu Li straightened up. "How could that be?" He thought for a moment and took out his phone from his desk. "But speaking of showing off, I do have something to show off."
Jiang Xu watched Gu Li's actions and asked, "Hmm?"
Gu Li beckoned with her finger, "Come on, let's watch together. I'll show you again."
The two men huddled together, and Jiang Xu watched Gu Li's fingers fly across the keyboard, typing out string after string of text. He knew what Gu Li was showing off.
The messages in their shared group chat were popping up incredibly fast.
Gu Li: Everyone! Show yourself immediately, I have something important to announce.
Gu Li: If you see this, type '1'. If it's late...
Lü Chao: 2, what's going on all of a sudden?
Xu Lang: First, what about those who are late?
Gu Li: I'll say it again if it's too late, but I'll say it once first.
Gu Li: Brother, I'm no longer single!
Gu Li: I've moved on to the next level, everyone.
Lü Chao: ? ? ? ? ? ? Has he suddenly gone mad? Or did he just wake up and is still dreaming?
Xu Lang: This joke is quite novel.
Xie Tao: Indeed.
Ji Hai: Was your account hacked?
Gu Li glanced at their messages and remained unaffected: "Two of you are late, so there's nothing I can do but repeat the message again."
He added a helpless cat emoji with his hands shrugged.
Gu Li typed with a smile on her face: Me, the first of the five of us to find a partner!
Gu Li: Brother, I am truly, truly, truly no longer single!
Lü Chao: Are you serious?
Xu Lang: I... I'm so pissed!
Ji Hai: I'm keeping a wait-and-see approach.
Xie Tao: If I remember correctly, there are six people in our group.
Xu Lang: Hmm? Hmm! Yeah, why didn't you bring Jiang Xu along? Li, why did you say it was one of the five of us?
Lü Chao: I think I've seen through it all.

Jiang Xu thought for a moment and nodded, "It's time to say hello to my open-minded friends." After he finished speaking, he took out his phone and typed.
Jiang Xu: Hello friends, the one who also ranked first in speed is here.
Lü Chao: Very well, this introduction is acceptable but unnecessary.
Xu Lang: How can we kick someone out without them noticing?
Xie Tao: Let me think about it for you too.
Ji Hai: I'll think about it too.
Jiang Xu smiled and opened the red envelope. A string of red envelopes filled the screen and lasted for a full minute.
The sentiment in the group changed suddenly.
Xu Lang: Seriously, Gu Li has a really good eye for talent.
Lü Chao: Yes, being a perfectionist makes sense; the ones they pick out are indeed the best.
Xie Tao: The boss is generous; I'm very satisfied.
