Chapter 23 Fake

"Of course the antiques I handle are the best. If there's no problem, are you still going to buy it? If you are, pay quickly. I'm in a hurry to report back to the client."

Li Xiujun tapped the table with her index finger and replied nonchalantly, "Yes, it's really neat. I've never seen such neat tortoiseshell glaze."

"Oh, you're kidding me, aren't you?" The elder brother thought he was going to hear some brilliant insights, but unexpectedly, it was just a little girl showing off her knowledge: "I'll pay, I'll pay, now."

If I had known it was a misunderstanding, I wouldn't have been so scared for so long.

Unexpectedly, she changed the subject: "Does the neat interweaving of the patterns necessarily indicate the quality of the tortoiseshell glaze?"

The gangster lost all patience and waved his hand: "You're not talking nonsense. Everyone knows that the better the product, the more beautiful the pattern. I'd better shut your mouth while I'm in a good mood."

After some thought, someone realized what was happening.

Nothing is absolute, especially when it comes to porcelain that relies solely on firing. No matter how skilled the firing master is, how good the materials are, or how precisely the temperature is controlled, there is no guarantee that every single line will appear perfectly aligned.

If there really is such a person, he must be a porcelain spirit.

Li Xiujun listened to his explanation but smiled without saying anything.

It has come to this point. If I say more, it will destroy the unspoken rules of antiques.

Everything that needed to be done had been done, and taking advantage of the chaos of the argument between the eldest brother and the gangsters, he quietly retreated.

Even though the truth had been exposed to this extent, the gangster still insisted: "If you don't want to buy it, then don't buy it. You can't recognize the good stuff yourself, so why are you pretending to be an expert?"

"It's okay for a swindler to sell fakes these days, but he's so arrogant? Zhao San Qian Si, teach this shameless guy a lesson."

"I'll smash all those fakes. Consider it my job to rid the people of this evil, so you don't end up using them to harm others."

The crackling sound of smashing was accompanied by the gangsters' curses.

Although most of the items he displayed were fakes, he also mixed in a few genuine antiques, just in case.

The total price was at least tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands, and it was smashed into pieces right in front of him.

My brother had almost been cheated, so how could he believe such nonsense as the existence of real antiques? After he led his men to smash the shop, he took a step back and asked: "Did anyone see me do it?"

"No, no, it was obviously because he didn't stand firmly and dropped everything."

The passerby who was grabbed by the collar hurriedly shook his head, looking up and down, trying to ignore the gangster who was lying unconscious on the ground.

The eldest brother nodded with great satisfaction. Just as he was about to thank the little girl for her reminder, he found that she had disappeared.

Li Xiujun worked hard for a long time and finally picked out a few jade stones of decent quality. She was thinking about what kind of patterns she would carve them into when she saw the boss's strange look on his face.

He shouted like a plague god, "Even if it's three dollars, take the good stuff and leave quickly. I don't have any good stuff here anymore."

The moment she turned around, she heard the neighboring boss ask curiously.

"You are such a miser. Don't tell me you are attracted by her face."

"Who are you calling a cheapskate?" The shopkeeper slapped the man's hand away in annoyance. He looked around and lowered his voice, "I heard someone was selling a fake up front. The buyer paid for it, and a girl of seventeen or eighteen took one look and realized it was fake."

"Is it true or not? It's so mysterious?"

"No matter how mysterious it is, everyone has a few fake items in their shop. If that girl happens to be in the mood, I wonder if I should continue my business."

The neighboring bosses also thought it made sense, but they had never seen her and didn't know what the girl looked like.

Whenever I meet someone of similar age, I will be fully prepared to deal with them. Even if I suffer a little loss, I will "ask" them to leave as quickly as possible.

There are many flea market owners who think the same way. For the first time, the 17 or 18-year-old girls who usually suffer from cold eyes when looking for bargains have experienced the warmth of "feeling at home".

This further strengthened their determination to pursue antiques.

Many young girls later became famous figures in the antiques industry, but that is a story for later.

Li Xiujun didn't expect that her unconscious action would cause such a big disturbance, and she held her forehead helplessly.

However, it also brings many advantages such as no need to bargain.

I silently calculated the money I spent today and found that it was only half of the budget.

But the coat was already stuffed to the brim.

After basically going through the flea market and buying everything they needed, Li Xiujun also picked out gifts for Mr. Gu, Teacher Lin Xia, and the accompanying caregiver, even remembering one for Jian Guochao.

However, compared to the serious and practical things of the previous people, the latter was simply a huge shock.

I also have to thank the big fat kid for running back home and mysteriously bringing the little box.

When she thought of Jian Guochao being frightened to death when he saw the "treasure" in the box, she felt so relieved.

The person whose name was called suddenly stopped talking mid-sentence and rubbed his itchy nose: "Which bastard is talking about Grandpa's name behind my back?"

After Gu Qingming peeled the apples, he cut them into equal proportions, removed the cores, and placed them neatly on the tray.

Who would have thought that the fussy person who used to be too bothered to say a few more words would now be so meticulous.

Jian Guochao watched for several days before his initial shock, wondering if the other person had changed, settled into his current composure. But he couldn't stop talking: "I'm not saying, but when your dad was in the hospital, he didn't see you like this, did he?"

"If you don't know, you might think the person lying on the bed is your young wife's grandfather, which is why you are so cautious in trying to please him—"

Unable to bear this outspoken mouth any longer, Gu Qingming took the biggest piece of apple and blocked it: "Can you be a little more quiet and continue to tell me, how is Xiujun?"

Seeing that he didn't deny it, Jian Guochao's eyes widened.

Suddenly, like a badger in a melon field, he wanted to ask something, but his mouth was blocked and he could only utter a few unclear words.

I finally managed to swallow it, but I choked twice in the process.

Jian Guochao didn't have time to feel the discomfort of his chest being blocked. He coughed and roared loudly, "You're crazy! She's only eighteen years old. How could you have such dirty thoughts?"

All the weird things seemed to have found an outlet at this moment.

No wonder he would pay so much attention to and take care of a so-called niece who had no blood relationship with him.
