Chapter 40 Don't Hold Me So Tightly
Escaping from the maze is like escaping from a secret room. You have to solve the puzzles and get out in a circle. There are several paths inside. Most amusement parks are for parents and children, so the level of horror is very low.
This is not a horror script, but in order to create an atmosphere, the lights are dim and there is a slight sound of wind blowing, which is a bit eerie. Zhuzhu is quite brave and looked around curiously as soon as she entered. It may also be because Xu Chunian has played too many horror books and started to have a stress response.
"Jiang Huaixu, you saw it just now, it's a maze puzzle, not a horror book, right?" Xu Chunian stared at the green lights on the wall.
Jiang Huaixu glanced at her and pressed his lips, "It should be."
"should?"
She played escape room games with others many times in high school, and only realized belatedly that it was a horror book when she encountered the NPC.
The man stopped talking.
Xu Chunian is afraid of ghosts, but he is a weakling and likes excitement. The atmosphere around him is scary enough, and the horror scenes in his mind pop up one after another.
Zhuzhu was also a little scared and held Jiang Huaixu's hand tightly.
Jiang Huaixu picked her up with one hand and comforted her softly, "Don't be afraid."
Xu Chunian followed behind, and Zhuzhu could see her as soon as she raised her eyes. She stretched out her hidden little hand and handed it to Xu Chunian.
Xu Chunian's heart softened, and he held her gently, "Don't be afraid, mom and dad are here."
Jiang Huaixu paused, "Zhuzhu was accidentally locked in the utility room by the previous nanny, and was not discovered until the evening."
No wonder Zhuzhu always leaves a lamp on the bedside before going to bed every day.
Xu Chunian's heart tightened, and she pursed her lips as she looked at the beads that looked like glutinous rice balls.
Zhuzhu leaned on Jiang Huaixu's shoulder and grinned at her.
The path in the maze is very winding. The first time I followed the signs, but the path seemed to have no end.
"Jiang Huai Xu." Xu Chunian pointed at the green lamp not far away, "We are back again. Look, there is a big gap in the lamp holder. Do you see it?"
"Xu Chunian." Jiang Huaixu called her in a deep voice.
"Um?"
"Catch me gently."
The air suddenly became quiet. Xu Chunian mechanically looked at the beads in his hand, then looked at the hand pointing in the direction of the wall lamp.
"Ah!" Xu Chunian suddenly rushed over and hugged Jiang Huaixu. Jiang Huaixu staggered and one hand was loosely placed across her waist.
Xu Chunian didn't notice how inappropriate this action was. She raised her head in his arms and asked, "Are you sure this isn't a horror book?"
"Hmm." The man's Adam's apple slid up and down. "It might be windy. Let's try another route."
Xu Chunian grabbed Jiang Huaixu's hand. The man's large palm almost completely covered her hand. For no reason, she felt relieved.
The other road also seemed endless, with many pictures painted on the walls. Until a bend, Jiang Huaixu exerted force on his hands, and Xu Chunian stopped and looked back at him in confusion.
Jiang Huaixu raised his chin and said, "The door is on the wall."
"where?"
Jiang Huaixu took her two steps back and said, "This."
The painted door was different from the other patterns, but you couldn't see it unless you looked closely. Xu Chunian pushed it lightly and it opened easily.
There is a small space inside the door, and there is another door on the other side with a big lock on it that requires a password.
There are many pictures in the room, which roughly depict that the princess has been captured by a dragon and can only be rescued at the end of the maze.
Zhuzhu was reading the comic very seriously, and when she reached the last page she struggled to get out of Jiang Huaixu's arms.
