Chapter 21 Jiang Family

Chapter 21 Jiang Family

In the afternoon, a luxury car stopped at the entrance of the shopping mall, attracting people to stop and watch.

Xu Chunian took Zhuzhu's hand and pushed open the revolving door. Zhuzhu had a cartoon hydrogen balloon tied to her hand. The setting sun shone on her face, and her body was emitting a soft light. Xu Chunian subconsciously raised her hand to cover it. In that hand, she was holding a pig doll.

Jiang Huaixu's eyes moved.

Opening the car door, Xu Chunian held Zhuzhu in the child seat and helped her fasten her seat belt. Fortunately, the car was large enough and the balloon could be placed next to Zhuzhu.

There was no movement in front, so Xu Chunian subconsciously looked up. In the rearview mirror, she could only see the man's narrow and long phoenix eyes, which retracted their gaze the moment she raised her head.

No conversation along the way.

Xu Chunian met Jiang Huaixu when she was in the second grade of junior high school. At that time, he had just transferred to another school. He was rebellious. He had good grades, was handsome, but was aloof and had a dull expression.

But Xu Chunian knew that although he was a cold person, his heart was warm.

Xu Chunian had heard something about his family affairs. His parents divorced and each started a family. Jiang Huaixu was always the superfluous one in each family. After his younger brother was born, Jiang Huaixu rarely returned to this home.

The car stopped steadily, but the people behind it looked distracted.

"We're here." A cold male voice pulled my wandering thoughts away.

Only then did Xu Chunian get out of the car, holding Zhuzhu's hand.

Ding Dong

But in a moment, the door opened.

The servant invited them in, and Jiang Huaixu's father was sitting on the sofa watching the news.

Jiang Mingqian was elegant, wearing glasses. His face looked 60% like Jiang Huaixu. He glanced at them through the glasses. When he saw Xu Chunian, his eyes narrowed, and then he put away the tablet. "Come on, sit down."

When Jiang Mingqian married Xu Chunian, he had some complaints. He valued equal status in marriage, and Xu Chunian, who came from a wealthy family but had no achievements, was not the daughter-in-law he wanted. However, Jiang Huaixu always ignored his opinions. Besides, his achievements had nothing to do with him, so he couldn't say anything.

Xu Chunian called someone, but the latter did not respond. He looked at Zhuzhu, who could not speak, calmly.

After I sat down, I heard footsteps coming from upstairs.

It was Jiang Huaixu’s stepmother, Lan Yueying. She was 12 years younger than Jiang Mingqian and it was said that she was Jiang Mingqian’s secretary before.

There was a girl following Lan Yueying, and Xu Chunian had seen her before.

"Huai Xu is here." Lan Yueying glanced over and when she saw Xu Chunian, her reaction was greater than Jiang Mingqian's, "Chunian."

Xu Chunian smiled back, not knowing what to call him.

There was a flash of displeasure in Jiang Mingqian's eyes.

"Brother Huaixu, weren't you on a business trip? When will you be back?" The girl sat next to Jiang Huaixu familiarly.

Jiang Huaixu seemed a little impatient and leaned back.

"Xin'er." Lan Yueying glanced at her indifferently.

Lan Xin pursed her lips and said, "Sister Chu Nian, long time no see."

Xu Chunian forced a smile, "Yeah, long time no see."

Lan Xin looked at her with deep hostility, and Xu Chunian suddenly remembered.

One afternoon in her second year of high school, she saw Lan Xin pestering Jiang Huaixu on her way back to school. Even though the boy was extremely impatient, she still stuck to him with a smile. The atmosphere was very strange and they seemed very familiar with each other. Later, for a long time, Lan Xin almost always blocked him at the school gate.

They said that this was just a way for young masters and princesses to marry and cultivate feelings.

Xu Chunian found it a little ridiculous until Jiang Huaixu reached out to her to ask for the thing in his hand. She didn't know what to say, and Lan Xin stuffed the thing into Jiang Huaixu's hand and left. The boy stood there holding the thing in his hand, and Xu Chunian couldn't see his expression.

From that day on, she seldom took the initiative to approach him until they met again in college. In her sophomore year, she was sure that Jiang Huaixu didn't have a girlfriend, so she mustered up the courage to confess her love.
