Chapter 45 Embarrassing Things
The next day
The hospital corridor was filled with the pungent smell of disinfectant and the sound of messy footsteps.
Children may be born with a fear of hospitals. Zhuzhu lay on Jiang Huaixu's shoulder, nervously holding the pig doll in her hand.
Xu Chunian pinched her chubby little face.
Although she didn't like the smell of the hospital, Zhuzhu was still a little happy. When she broke her hand, Jiang Huaixu was on a business trip and the family maid brought her here. This time, her parents came with her.
In the consultation room
The doctor held the film he had just taken in his hand and said, "Mr. Jiang, the child is recovering very well. After the plaster is removed, avoid strenuous exercise and wear protective gear for a few weeks. If there is no swelling, bleeding or pain, you can come for a follow-up check next week."
"Apart from these, is there anything else we need to pay attention to?" Xu Chunian asked worriedly.
"Be careful not to press on it when you sleep, and have regular checkups. There's nothing else to worry about, Mrs. Jiang."
Xu Chunian nodded.
After the examination, Zhuzhu was taken for vaccination. Seeing Jiang Huaixu running around the hospital skillfully with Zhuzhu, Xu Chunian felt a strange emotion in his heart.
After coming out of the hospital, Xu Chunian received a call from Xu's father and mother.
Xu Chunian hung up the phone and fastened his seat belt. "Well, my parents have prepared lunch. If you are not busy, let's go back and eat."
"Yeah." The man hummed lightly and turned at the next intersection.

Hearing the doorbell, Xu Zhen rushed to the door wearing an apron and holding a shovel.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Bai Hui glared at him.
When the door was opened, Zhuzhu was held in one hand in his arms. When she saw the two people, her eyes narrowed with smile.
"Oh, what did the doctor say?" Bai Hui held Zhuzhu over.
"Nothing much, recovery is going well."
Xu Chunian closed the door.
"It smells so good, Daddy, you made braised pork." She jumped into the kitchen.
Xu Zhen then remembered the soup in the kitchen, "Baby, grandpa is ready to play with you. I made bone soup for Zhuzhu today."
Xu Chunian washed her hands, picked up the braised pork from the plate and stuffed it into her mouth. She flipped the hot pork in her mouth several times and praised her father, "It's delicious as always."
"Eat slowly, it's just out of the pot!" Father Xu looked at her with disdain and handed her a chicken leg wrapped in oil-absorbing paper, "This one isn't hot."
"Thank you, Dad~" Xu Chunian picked up another piece of braised pork and put it into his mouth, then left the kitchen contentedly.
Xu Zhen sighed lightly, his eyes smiling, "You are so unruly."
Xu Chunian sat next to Zhuzhu, tore off a chicken leg for her, and made sashay sounds in his mouth.
Bai Hui gave her a glare, "This damn kid, it's just out of the pot, it's hot."
Xu Chunian was so burned that she was speechless and just waved her hands.
Bai Hui looked down at the pig doll in Zhuzhu's hand and asked, "Who sewed this?"
Although he asked a question, his eyes were on Xu Chunian's face.
"I." Xu Chunian pursed his lips.
"Tsk." Bai Hui didn't say anything else. She lowered her head to look at Zhuzhu in her arms, "Did you get scared in the hospital today, baby?"
Zhuzhu shook her head.
Xu Chunian curled her eyes and said, "Zhuzhu is amazing. She didn't even cry when she got the injection."
Bai Hui wiped her greasy little face and said, "Zhuzhu is awesome. Unlike her mother, she hid under the bed to avoid injections when she was little."
"Mom!" Xu Chunian looked at her dissatisfiedly.
"It was so easy to coax her out with just a piece of candy. After the beating she said she wanted to sever the father-daughter relationship with me. She ran away from home and sat on the flower bed downstairs and refused to come up." Xu Zhensheng filled a small bowl of soup and took it out.
Bai Hui's eyes were lost in memories. "It was the neighbor's brother who coaxed her back. He must have thought she was handsome."
Thinking of the embarrassing things that happened in her childhood, Xu Chunian blushed and subconsciously turned to look at the silent man on the sofa.
But she didn't know that the latter was just looking at her leisurely.
