Ji Changning v Si Chen (11)

Ji Changning v Si Chen (11)

"Sir, we have guests." The servant said at the door, "Mr. Qin and his wife."

Ji Changning frowned subconsciously.

"Do you want to see him?" Si Chen asked gently.

Ji Changning shook his head, "No."

"Okay." The servant just turned around.

"Wait a moment." Si Chen called her.

“Do you want to get rid of the Qin family or your mother?”

Ji Changning looked at him in confusion, "Both."

"See you then."

The afternoon sun spread all over the ground and blew gently into the hall.

The servant brought the brewed tea.

The smile on Ji's mother's face did not diminish. The more she looked at Si Chen, the more satisfied she felt. "I didn't even know when Xiaochen and Ningning got together. They got married without saying anything. If we hadn't seen the news online, we wouldn't have known about it."

Qin Dong on the side said with a smile, "Yes, Ningning has always been a person with ideas since she was a child. I didn't expect that she could accomplish such a big thing without saying a word."

Ji Changning laughed in his heart when he heard this, "Why did you get married without saying anything? Don't you reflect on this?"

Mother Ji's expression changed. She didn't expect Ji Changning to choke her at this time. "Ningning, be careful."

Ji Changning looked at her coldly, "I gave you a card last time. Isn't the child support in it?"

A trace of embarrassment flashed across Ji's mother's face, and she took out the card from her bag. "Last time you threw it to me and left, Ningning, I know you are a little angry with your mother, but there is no overnight hatred among family members. After all, you are a piece of flesh that fell from my body."

Ji Changning suddenly laughed, "My biological daughter is nothing compared to my son who has no blood relationship with me."

After repeated sarcasm, Ji's mother and Qin Dong felt a little embarrassed.

Si Chen, who was quiet at the side, suddenly spoke up, "It's my fault. I should have met them before getting married."

"It's a bit hasty, but after all, it's a new era now, you young people should make your own decisions." Qin Dong smiled and tried to smooth things over, "But the necessary procedures should not be missed. Ningning has been in the Qin family since she was a child. After so many years, I still feel a little reluctant to let her go."

Ji Changning was once shocked by the shamelessness of these people. She was about to say something when her hands were patted. Si Chen shook his head at her, then turned to Qin Dong and said, "Of course, it was a bit impulsive, but of course all the necessary procedures were followed."

Qin Dong felt relieved and his expression relaxed.

Ji Changning knew the true colors of these people. He was just trying to test their attitude. Si Chen's promise would only make them ask for more and they would not stop until they achieved their goal.

"Changning." The man squeezed her clenched hands. "There is a file bag on the desk in the study upstairs. Can you go up and help me get it down?"

Ji Changning turned her head and looked at him, seeming to want to say something but stopping herself. Si Chen smiled at her soothingly, and she stood up.

Seeing her disappear at the stairs, the smile on Si Chen's face faded, and he glanced coldly at the two people in front of him.

When Ji Changning came down with the documents that Si Chen wanted, the atmosphere in the living room was a little weird. Qin Dong had an embarrassed look on his face, and Ji's mother's face also looked a little unhappy.

She handed the documents in her hand to Si Chen.

Si Chen handed the document over. Qin Dong was about to reach out to take it, but he dodged it and said, "Mrs. Qin is the most suitable person to take this."

Qin Dong withdrew his hand awkwardly, "Yes."

Ji's mother took the document, and Ji Changning pursed his lips as he looked at the document in her hand.

Si Chen continued, "I will discuss the following matters with Chang Ning."

"Okay, okay." Qin Dong stood up. "The company still has things to do, so we won't bother you anymore."

Si Chen also stood up and said, "Then I won't keep you here."

After sending them to the door, Ji Changning suddenly said, "Wait a minute, I want to talk to mom alone, is that ok?"
