Chapter 227 Original Wen Jiaojiao Returns

Xu Dajun recently started dating another woman, so naturally he finds fault with Wen Jiaojiao, and the two have returned to their old ways of constantly arguing and fighting.

Later, Xu Dajun simply absconded with all the money in the house and ran off with that woman, leaving the child crying loudly on the bed.

Wen Jiaojiao had originally planned to abandon the child, but considering how long she had cared for him, she ultimately softened her heart.

He just wanted to come back and see Xu Cuifen, ask her to help him support himself, and then he would go out again.

Wen Zhaoye glanced at her, his tone cold and indifferent:

"Heh~ It's really rare to raise such a good daughter like you. Now that your mother isn't dead, you want to torment her to death, huh?"

Yuan Wenjiao said irritably:

"It's none of your business. She's my mom, not yours. Besides, she's probably happy to help take care of the child."

Wen Zhaoye: "Then will you give me living expenses?"

Yuan Wenjiao pulled off her scarf and said confidently:

“Now that the child is older and doesn’t cost money, my mom can just feed the child whatever she wants, why would she need money?”

Wen Zhaoye knew that some people were born devils, and even after experiencing hardship, they would never repent.

He looked closely at Yuan Wenjiao's face and realized that in just over two years, she had lost all the girlishness that a twenty-year-old should have.

Her face was no longer the same as before; it was now full of the marks of life's hardships. Only her facial features resembled Wen Jiaojiao's somewhat.

He lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment before saying:

"I'll help your child find a good family, but the price is that you're never allowed to appear in front of Xu Cuifen again for the rest of your life, how about it?"

Wen Jiaojiao refused outright:

"That won't do. I'm counting on this child to support me in my old age. I've practically raised him to adulthood; it would be such a waste to give him away."

My mom raised me, so if I ever can't make a living outside, this child can take care of me for the rest of my life.

Wen Zhaoye's heart was filled with rage, and a ruthless and solemn killing intent flashed in his eyes.

He managed to suppress his urge to break the law only because he knew that if his crimes were exposed and he went to jail, Wen Jiaojiao could remarry with the child.

After thinking for a moment, he took out ten yuan and said, "Take this money first. I'll take you back to the county town for a few nights. Now that I'm married, there's no room at home."

Yuan Wenjiao asked curiously:

"You'd be so kind as to offer me money willingly?"

Wen Zhaoye concealed the ruthlessness in his eyes, a half-smile playing on his lips:

"I'm going to be a father myself, I just feel sorry for the child, it's none of your business."

Yuan Wenjiao looked at the money in his hand. Although she didn't know what he was planning, the money was real.

She readily accepted it and waited inside the house for a while. Wen Zhaoye then rode over on his motorcycle and said:

"Put the scarf on your face, and I'll take you to the county town now."

Originally, Wen Jiaojiao was still a little wary, but when she saw the hotel in front of her, she completely relaxed.

After Wen Zhaoye booked a room for her, he left her a phone number, told her not to leave the hotel, and that he would come back to find her. Then he turned and left.

When he got home, his family had just put the food on the table and were waiting for him.

Xu Cuifen called out:

"It's almost time to eat, where have you been?"

Wen Jiaojiao looked at him nervously. Wen Zhaoye sat beside her, took her slender hand in his palm and stroked it, comforting her:

"Don't worry, nothing will happen."

Xu Cuifen, not understanding, said:

"What exactly happened?"

Wen Zhaoye: "After we finish eating, we'll buy tickets to go to the port city. We just finished getting all the necessary permits for you a few days ago. We won't be coming back to this place again."

Wen Xiaojian was ultimately reluctant to leave this place:

"Zhaoye, even if you become successful, you can't forget your roots."

Wen Zhaoye made an excuse:

"Because I keep hearing questions about Jiaojiao's identity, if it gets exposed, there will definitely be all sorts of rumors about Jiaojiao and Xu Dajun doing this and that, I..."

Before he could finish speaking, Xu Cuifen, fearing that Wen Zhaoye might hear too much of this and truly abandon Wen Jiaojiao, decisively said:

"Okay, let's move away from here completely."

Wen Zhaoye has now explained Wen Jiaojiao's identity to the outside world flawlessly, but Xu Cuifen is the key person.

Now, as long as she is taken away and prevented from seeing the original Wen Jiaojiao, she will believe that Wen Jiaojiao is her biological daughter for the rest of her life and will not expose the truth.

He felt relieved and said, "I don't need any of my things at home. I can just buy new things over there. I don't need to have any more contact with the people here."

Xu Cuifen is now so afraid of losing what she's already got that chance that someone will say she's gone.

She didn't dare to say a word, and just nodded and said, "These poor relatives are useless to us, it's better to cut them off."

At night, Wen Jiaojiao nestled in Wen Zhaoye's arms: "Brother, if she can't find us, will she cause trouble at the police station?"

“She has my phone number. I will explain everything clearly. As long as we can keep it from Xu Cuifen, my dad won’t say anything even if he finds out.”

"What if she also goes to Hong Kong to look for us?"

Wen Zhaoye comforted him, saying:

“Jiang Peitian is there. If he just says a word, she won’t even have a life.”

The next day, the whole family boarded the train and left. Meanwhile, Yuan Wenjiaojiao waited at the hotel for two days, the hotel bill was due, but the person never showed up.

After failing to get through on the phone, he returned home, only to find the door locked tight.

She couldn't help but ask in surprise, "Where have they all gone in the middle of the day?"

Just then, Aunt Pang came out of her house. She saw Yuan Wenjiaojiao and greeted her:

"Hey, who are you? Which member of his family are you looking for?"

Originally, Wen Jiaojiao only planned to leave the child here and would return later. Knowing she couldn't avoid being scolded, she simply took off her scarf and said:

"It's me."

Aunt Pang looked at it for a long time but couldn't recognize it. She asked in surprise:

Who are you?

"Wen Jiaojiao, Xu Cuifen's daughter."

Aunt Pang: "Oh, why are you back? Cuifen and the others just left a couple of days ago. Zhaoye found a rich man's daughter in Gangcheng, and the whole family went with Zhaoye to his in-laws' place. I heard they won't be coming back."

Yuan Wenjiao immediately became angry:

"He left, but why did he take my mother with him? Who will take care of my child?"

The plump aunt rolled her eyes, turned around, and went back into the house.

"Whoever gets a daughter like you is truly blessed."

Her voice was very soft, and Yuan Wenjiao didn't hear it. She glanced through the window at the fully equipped house:

"At least I can use the new house and its things as I please, but I still need to call that kid and ask him about it."

She brought her child to the village, and after much difficulty, she managed to get through to Wen Zhaoye on the phone:

Where did you take my mother?
