"Give this bowl to your dad first, then call your brother over for dinner. I'll talk to him about going to the market later."
Normally, she wouldn't let her daughter do even the slightest thing, but now that Wen Xiaojian was injured because of them,
He had no choice but to make Wen Jiaojiao perform well in front of him, to let him know that his daughter, who was not related to him by blood, treated him no worse than his own son, so that he could get more of Wen Zhaoye's property for Wen Jiaojiao in the future.
Wen Jiaojiao took out a pair of chopsticks and placed them on the bowl. Holding the noodles in both hands, she entered the main room and saw Wen Zhaoye shirtless, wearing only a pair of loose-fitting black shorts.

She never indulged in the luxury of cracking four eggs at once. This time, she only cracked eggs for Wen Jiaojiao because she was afraid that Wen Zhaoye would be home. She was worried that he would see through her and become unhappy.
Wen Jiaojiao decisively put the egg back, carefully protecting the bowl as she hurried towards the main room, afraid that Xu Cuifen would give her another one.
"You can eat it. What's so special about eggs? I don't care."
Her refusal, however, took on a different meaning in Xu Cuifen's eyes.
