Chapter 87 The slender hand stopped right above his trouser zipper.

Near the end of the movie, the male and female leads gaze at each other tenderly, and then suddenly the scene changes again.

Wen Jiaojiao's face showed a hint of disgust: "..."

Is it really that hard to get a kiss in movies these days?

Li Qiang walked to the hotel front desk, took out his money, and said to the middle-aged woman:

"Please extend my stay in my room for another night."

The middle-aged woman was doing her calculations when she saw who it was and said bluntly and rudely:

"Remember to keep things quiet tonight. Someone complained to me this morning."

Li Qiang looked slightly embarrassed and nodded perfunctorily, saying, "It's just my girlfriend and another girl staying here tonight."

As soon as he finished speaking and walked away, a well-dressed man and woman came down from upstairs.

The man, wearing a top hat, stood beside the service counter and said:

"Boss, the soundproofing in your room isn't good. Last night, we were sleeping when we heard a really loud door slamming next door. If she's staying there tonight, please tell her to be quieter."

The shopkeeper could tell the two were no ordinary people. This area had developed rapidly in the last two years, with various forces coming together, and she dared not offend them. So she asked in a polite voice:

"Left or right?"

The woman, sporting a trendy perm and a green cheongsam that accentuated her alluring figure, said casually:

"right."

The boss replied in a friendly tone:

"Oh, there are two siblings living there. I'll try to persuade them later. If that doesn't work, I can help you find another room."

After receiving an answer, the man led the woman out, just as Wen Jiaojiao and her companion walked in.

The boss put down the ledger again and said:

"Hey, young lady, you and your brother should be mindful of your noise at night. Keep it down, there are people next door."

People coming and going in the hotel all chuckled and looked over. Wen Zhaoye's handsome face flushed, and he said in an unnatural tone:

"Are you mistaken? It's not us, we didn't..." (This is a nonsensical statement.)

He hesitated, his face turning purple, but he couldn't bring himself to say the last few words.

Wen Jiaojiao awkwardly dug her toes through the sole of her shoe, and said irritably, "Who pulled that out?"

The shop owner was also puzzled and only mentioned it briefly, so she didn't think much of the two couples' strong reaction. However, seeing that their clothes were clearly not as nice as the previous couple's, she didn't take it to heart.

"I can't reveal the client's information. Anyway, you two better not make any noise at night, it's quite disturbing."

"When we're trying to sleep peacefully, you complain about any noise or people around..."

Before Wen Jiaojiao could finish her sentence, a rough, large hand suddenly covered her rosy lips. She impatiently brushed the hand away and continued:

"Someone is doing something nearby..."

Wen Zhaoye's face flushed red. Knowing what she was about to say, he gently covered her mouth again and said softly:

"As a young lady, it's better to be more civilized when you're out and about."

Wen Jiaojiao tried to pry the large hand away and say something more, but Wen Zhaoye tightened his grip on her lips, pushing her back into the room and closing the door, saying:

"Do you want to become famous in Yuncheng as well?"

Wen Jiaojiao sat on the bed with her arms crossed, revealing her domineering CEO-like wicked smile once again:

"Hilarious! With my personality, I only pick on the weak. The other party isn't someone I can't afford to offend, why would I suffer this loss? But I'm pretty sure this was the work of that couple who were watching the movie."

Wen Zhaoye chuckled lightly, not taking it seriously, and then got to the point:

"Now that the movie is over and you've had lunch, you can rest at home. I have some errands to run."

Wen Jiaojiao suddenly lost interest in investigating what had just happened. She earnestly tried to deceive Wen Zhaoye, saying:

"I'm a little scared to be here alone, and I'm also feeling a bit dizzy, so I don't want to go out."

"Let's go! Get an IV drip!"

Upon hearing this, Wen Zhaoye was very worried about her health, and without saying a word, he took her hand and walked outside.

Wen Jiaojiao's face turned pale with fright. She struggled to shake off his hand and explained in a panic:

"Brother, no thanks. I'm just dizzy and want to sleep. I didn't get any sleep last night because of all the noise."

Upon hearing this, Wen Zhaoye felt once again that she didn't want him to investigate her past, but he couldn't do anything about it and could only compromise:

"Then go to sleep, I'll watch over you."

Wen Jiaojiao took a deep breath, but the anxiety in her heart did not lessen in the slightest. She lay on the bed, her mind blank, feeling nothing but anxiety:

I remember this Cloud City is from this fictional book; it's a place where nightclubs and shady practices are rampant.

I ran away and don't have any referral letters to go anywhere else. How can I survive here?

The worst part is that I can't sing well, I can't remember the lyrics, and I only went to a lousy junior college.

Wen Zhaoye sat on the single sofa, a look of pity in his eyes as he watched the girl tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep.

He assumed she couldn't sleep because he wasn't sleeping next to her, and a slight smile involuntarily appeared on his lips as he said:

"Should I go upstairs and lie down?"

"Whatever, there's only one bed, you can lie down whenever you want."

Wen Jiaojiao wiggled to the side like a maggot, making room for him.

Her family had only been living in a newly demolished house for a few years, so her behavior and manners were not up to par in the face of sudden wealth.

Even when his lover had eye boogers, Wen Zhaoye found it adorable to wipe her snotty nose in public. He stood up with a smile in his eyes and lay down on the bed.

He didn't sleep much last night, and soon he drifted off to sleep.

Hearing the even breathing, Wen Jiaojiao suddenly opened her eyes, sat up, and let out a wicked "hehe" laugh unique to villains:

"The opportunity has come."

Little did she know that the moment she got up, the man beside her, a light sleeper, slightly closed his handsome eyes.
