Chapter 145 The New Principal is Actually a Mortal Enemy

When Lin Ye returned, he told Lu Wanqing about it.

"This is probably an arrangement by the Ministry of Education. Don't be angry. We can go ask Zhang Wei about it when we have the chance," Lu Wanqing said.

She didn't quite believe that Zhang Wei would casually agree to appoint a principal who had been parachuted in.

"It would be better to make Teacher Du the principal. There are hundreds of children in the school, and they all like Teacher Du." Lin Ye became angrier the more he thought about it.

To appease him, Lu Wanqing showed him her cheongsam design sketches, "How about this? Isn't it pretty?"

Lin Ye's eyes lit up, as if he could see the cheongsam on her body. "This one looks very dignified. The previous designs were too glamorous and only suitable for me to see."

Lu Wanqing gave Lin Ye a push and said coquettishly, "Go cook, I'll go pick out a good piece of fabric."

She was so engrossed in her work that she forgot about mealtimes. If Lin Ye hadn't gotten off work early today, he wouldn't have had lunch.

As Lin Ye cooked, he sighed. He and Lin Xiaocui were both going to school, and from then on, only his mother and wife would be at home. He wondered if he could come back for lunch and cook for them.

The next day, with one class left in the morning, he was helping the kitchen prepare food, thinking about going home later, when he heard a commotion outside.

It turned out that the school bell had rung, and Kunkun had been delayed by going to the toilet outside. He rushed back to the classroom in a hurry, but he bumped into a man and dirtied his leather shoes.

"I...I'm sorry." Kun Kun's face turned red.

The man was wearing a woolen overcoat and his leather shoes were shiny. According to my mother, people dressed like that must be rich, and we shouldn't offend them. He should apologize as soon as possible.

To everyone's surprise, the man straightened his hair and said with a displeased look, "Are you a student here? You're so clumsy. Your teacher didn't teach you, so I'll teach you now. Clean my shoes properly."

Immediately, the children in the classrooms on the first floor all poked their heads out, laughing and watching this scene despite the teacher's attempts to stop them.

Even though Kun Kun is only six years old, he knows that his classmates are laughing at him. What a humiliation that is!

That uncle is so rude. He already apologized, but he still made him shine his shoes.

But he was just a child, and his uncle's face was as sour as a rock in a latrine, so he could only weakly beg for mercy:

"Uncle, I was really wrong. I'll go to the classroom and write a self-criticism right now."

After saying that, he tried to slip away.

Unexpectedly, the man persisted, grabbing him by the back of his collar and lifting him up.

He added sternly, "You think you can run away? Is this how teachers here teach children?"

The children in the classroom were no longer laughing. It was just a foot being stepped on; they could have just laughed it off. Why were they making such a big deal out of it?

The teachers in the classroom couldn't stand it anymore and came over to negotiate.

The man also criticized the teacher, which made the teacher so angry that she almost got into a fight with him.

As the noise grew louder, Lin Ye handed the work over to another teacher and came out of the kitchen.

He spotted Kun Kun tumbling through the air at a glance, rushed over, and picked him up.

Kunkun, who had been holding back his tears, could no longer contain himself when he saw Lin Ye. Tears streamed down his face. "Teacher Lin, this uncle is so scary!"

Lin Ye patted Kun Kun's head to reassure him, "Go to class, I'll handle this."

Lin Ye then looked directly at the man who was a head shorter than him, and his pupils dilated in shock, his face turning as ugly as could be.

"Qi Wei, what are you doing at school?" he asked sternly, his fists clenched.

Qi Wei touched his meticulously combed hair, smirked, and said, "What a small world! Lin Ye, I never thought you, a rough country bumpkin, would manage to trick Wan Qing into your hands."

"Don't bring up other things. Why did you treat Kunkun like that just now? You said the teacher didn't teach him well, but I think you're the one who needs a good upbringing!"

He wanted nothing more than to beat up this scumbag who had tricked his wife away, but this was a school, and he couldn't act impulsively.

Qi Wei, however, adopted an arrogant attitude and said disdainfully, "Heh, it's kind of you to stand up for him like this. If I let him shine my shoes, that's too good for him."

"Ouch!" Qi Wei's foot was suddenly stepped on by Lin Ye, who also twisted it, causing him to howl in pain.

The children in the classroom laughed with satisfaction when they saw this.

Qi Wei was so angry that his face turned red and his neck bulged. He shouted, "I'm the new principal. Let's see who dares to laugh now!"

The children fell silent and sat up straight in their seats. This person was terrifying; it was the principal. They dared not laugh at him anymore.

Qi Wei was very satisfied with the children's reaction. He turned to Lin Ye and glared at him fiercely, continuing, "Lin Ye, you wait, I'll make you pay the price!"

He dragged his aching feet toward the principal's office.

After a while, the former principal announced that all teachers should go to the principal's office for a meeting.

Lin Ye told Du Wenbing that he needed to serve the children rice, so he didn't go to the meeting.

The new principal is Qi Wei, and he needs to think carefully about whether he should continue to stay at the school.

Lu Wanqing naturally didn't tell Lin Ye about her past life. In his current understanding, Qi Wei was just the educated youth who had abducted his wife. He hated him, but not to the point of being enemies.

However, the fact that he abducted his wife was enough to make him feel disgusted with Qi Wei.

Unexpectedly, Qi Wei made things difficult for Kun Kun as soon as he arrived, which made Kun Kun hate him even more. Can such a person really manage the school well as the principal?

Lin Ye and another teacher served the children their meals, let them finish eating, and then put the bowls and chopsticks in the sink to wash them.

The other teacher is a 26-year-old female teacher named An Jie, from another brigade. She has been working at the school for several years thanks to family connections.

She was quite diligent and helped with everything, but her teaching skills were not very good. The old principal only let her teach some minor subjects and did not dare to let her be a homeroom teacher.

"Teacher Lin, do you know the new principal?" An Jie asked after seeing Lin Ye talking to Qi Wei.

"He was a former educated youth from our brigade. I don't know how he suddenly became the principal." After saying that, Lin Ye went to do other work and didn't say anything more to her.

He was still self-aware; he would avoid the female teachers at school whenever possible and not talk to them much.

He was especially annoyed by this Teacher An, who always liked to get close to him.

Seeing that Lin Ye was avoiding her again, An Jie pouted and thought resentfully, "Hmph, what's so great about him? I'm only being nice to you because I respect you! The new principal's identity must be extraordinary. If I get closer to him, you'll be in for a world of trouble!"

With that in mind, Anjie packed a meal in an aluminum lunchbox and headed toward the principal's office.
