Lu Wanqing entered the room carrying her things, placing the groceries in the corner and opening the package on the table.
Turning her head, she realized that Lin Chunhua had pulled her head back from the window and was giving her an awkward smile.
"Is Haozi looking for Aye? Why don't you let him in and sit down?"
Haozi is tall and strong, with a smile between his brows, giving people a mischievous yet approachable feeling.
When she was little, Haozi often came to her house to play, so she was quite familiar with him.
Compared to their own younger brothers, girls are probably more easily attracted to this kind of person!
Lu Wanqing refocused her attention on the fabric and casually replied, "Oh, I asked Aunt Luo to make the clothes, but she said she couldn't, so she sent the fabric back."
Seeing that she was a little upset, Lin Chunhua didn't bother her anymore and went to talk to her mother.
It seems she was overthinking it.
Lu Wanqing looked at the fabric, feeling a little frantic.
Because she incorporated some of her own avant-garde design elements into the clothes and pants she designed, Aunt Luo had never made them before, so she was asked to make the patterns herself.
Aunt Luo had been a tailor for many years, always making clothes according to the old patterns. She had no idea about Lu Wanqing's new designs.
When Aunt Luo saw her drawing, she assumed that she knew how to make patterns and cut out patterns, and that all she would need to do was sew them together with a sewing machine.
The package also included a piece of chalk and a ruler.
Lu Wanqing designs clothes entirely based on her imagination; she's not a tailor, so how would she know anything about pattern making?
She spread the clothes out on the bed and racked her brains over her design sketches.
Zhao Xiaolan, who was playing nearby, was attracted by her actions and leaned closer to look curiously, but was stopped by Lin Chunhua:
"Mom, Wanqing is doing something important, you play with me!"
She acted like a spoiled child, shaking off Lin Chunhua's hand that was holding her arm, picked up chalk and a ruler, and began to draw on the clothes according to the design.
She glanced at the design drawing, then drew a few strokes on the fabric. The fabric ruler moved nimbly in her hand, like a butterfly flitting about.
Lu Wanqing and Lin Chunhua were both stunned. She was a genius, like a perfect pitch genius singer, she had absolute control over the pitch.
In less than ten minutes, the pattern making for a garment was completed.
After Elaine Chao finished, she clapped her hands and laughed, feeling a great sense of accomplishment.
Lu Wanqing was overjoyed. To verify that her pattern making was successful, she took the fabric with the drawn pattern and hurriedly went to Aunt Luo's house.
Without time to say more, she begged Aunt Luo to cut out the fabric according to the pattern and then sew it out with a sewing machine.
More than an hour later, a unique puff-sleeved shirt was made.
Aunt Luo was stunned. This was so beautiful, much prettier than the shirt she was wearing.
The key point is that the fabric cut according to the pattern is exactly the right size, not too much or too little.
"Wanqing, I didn't know you had this skill! If you ask me, you'd definitely be a better tailor than me," Aunt Luo complimented.
Lu Wanqing dared not take credit and revealed Zhao Xiaolan's involvement in the pattern making.
Aunt Luo sighed and said, "Xiao Lan used to be very skillful with her hands, but unfortunately we didn't have the money to buy a sewing machine, otherwise she would have been even better than me."
When Luo's eldest son got married, he bought a sewing machine as a dowry, but in the end, because he had the skill, he used it for himself.
It's unbelievable that Elaine Chao, despite her mental illness, still has such skillful hands.
On her way back from Aunt Luo's house, Lu Wanqing wondered if she could buy Zhao Xiaolan a sewing machine so they could work together to make more new styles of clothes.
She was excited about her idea, and her steps became much lighter.
As she approached the Lin family's residence, she saw Lin Ye walking towards her from afar.
"Ah Ye, where are you going?" She jogged closer to him, a smile still on her lips.
She wanted to tell him as soon as possible that Elaine Chao was a genius!
Lin Ye looked at her with unfathomable eyes and said in a low voice, "I heard you went to Aunt Luo's house, I'm going to go find you!"
He returned from his private plot and did not see her.
I hadn't seen her for half a day, and I missed her terribly. When I heard that she had gone to Aunt Luo's house, I immediately headed out.
“Then let’s go home. Let me tell you…” Lu Wanqing walked alongside him and vividly recounted what had just happened, glancing at him every now and then.
A faint smile graced Lin Ye's face, and he felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction.
His wife's bouncy walk is so cute, and when she talks to him, she chatters away so much, he can never get enough of it...
Wait a minute, she just said her mother is very good at pattern making and wants to buy her a sewing machine...
It seems he needs to talk to Luo Hao and go settle the bill with Tiger.
After returning home, Lin Ye asked his sister to help him cook, while he carried his quiver and decided to go hunting in the back mountains.
Dusk is the best time to hunt; you might just have a good catch.
Lu Wanqing did not stop him, but instead let Xueqiu follow him.
Lin Ye reluctantly picked up Snowball, treating it like a mascot, and warned it in a very low voice:
"Don't cause me any trouble."
Snowball looked equally disgusted. "I don't want to go with you either!"
It was only because it was under Lu Wanqing's tyranny that it was forced to act!
After Lin Ye left, Lin Chunhua took her mother's hand and carried the rice and vegetables to the east kitchen.
She was very familiar with this place; she had cooked a lot when she was a girl at home.
When she saw Wang Xiuqin and Lin Jianguo, she greeted them politely, but was met with a cold shoulder in return.
"Once a woman is married, she's like water spilled from a cup. How dare she come back to her parents' home to freeload? Some people are just shameless."
Lin Chunhua knew that she was in a bad situation now, and all she had left was her mouth, so she replied calmly:
