Chapter 313 They Kissed Each Other

Wang Qi originally came to deliver goods for the next day, but he didn't expect the drinks to sell so well; they were sold out in just one afternoon.

There are still two hours of prime time left in the evening, so we should be able to sell quite a bit!

"Wang Qi, could you please go and haul some more goods?"

Lin Xiaocui looked at Wang Qi unloading the goods and blinked her eyes pleadingly.

If the agreed-upon quantity is suddenly increased, he has to make another trip to the soda factory and brewery, greatly increasing his workload, which naturally makes him unhappy.

The key question is, why is there an older man with her? He looks quite old and is chatting and laughing with her. Could he be her husband?

Thinking about these things, his enthusiasm waned considerably.

"The goods can be picked up, but I don't know when they will arrive," he said arrogantly.

Han Lei frowned upon hearing this, stepped in front of Wang Qi, and said in a measured tone:

"Young man, we're asking you to collect the goods to support your business, so why are you acting so impatient?"

Wang Qi knew he was in the wrong and couldn't refute anything, so he just glared at him with a stern face.

Seeing the two on the verge of conflict, Lin Xiaocui quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

"Han Lei, I'm so busy, come and help me."

Wang Qi then mounted the upper wheel and rode away like a wronged wretch.

Han Lei approached Lin Xiaocui, still visibly emotional, and said to her:

"What's wrong with this kid? He seems to be targeting me. Could he like you?"

Lin Xiaocui laughed it off with a wry smile, "What are you talking about? He's just a little brat!"

As soon as she finished speaking, she realized that Wang Qi was standing to her left and had heard everything she said.

I just wanted to come back and ask how many more bottles of each item I needed, but then I heard Lin Xiaocui call him a little kid.

He clenched his fists, turned around and left angrily.

Lin Xiaocui didn't see him, but Han Lei did. He felt incredibly happy, as if he had driven away a rival in love, and he worked even harder.

As the sun sets and the weather cools down, drinks that aren't chilled become more popular.

In just over two hours, the two sold more than 500 bottles.

As it was getting dark, Lin Xiaocui decided to pack up and close her stall.

Money can never be fully earned; by the end of the day, the harvest has already been quite substantial.

Han Lei helped push the refrigerator to the sanatorium and tidied up the power cords and plugs that had been dragged out. He just waited for Wang Qi to bring over the drinks.

Lin Xiaocui put the remaining drinks in the refrigerator, muttering about why Wang Qi hadn't arrived yet.

As a result, Wang Qi still hadn't arrived by 7:00.

The two were still hungry and couldn't just wait any longer.

Lin Xiaocui suggested going to Wang Qi's shop to take a look.

Han Lei could only accompany her. As soon as they arrived at the store, they saw that Wang Qi's left hand was bandaged and he was only working with his right hand.

A light bulb hangs on the stall, occasionally caught by his shoulder, its halo swaying in the night.

"What happened to your arm?" Li Xiaocui stepped forward and asked with concern.

Wang Qi turned his icy face away.

"It's nothing. I need another hour to load your goods."

His parents had already gone home, leaving him alone in the shop. Since he was carrying things with only one hand, he was naturally moving slower.

"Never mind, let's go back today. It's not too late to send it over tomorrow at noon."

To be honest, Lin Xiaocui felt a little sorry for him. Although he was tall and strong, he was still a child under twenty, which reminded her of her past self.

Of course, Han Lei interpreted her concern in a different light, and he began to feel bitter.

Yes, he is much older than Lin Xiaocui, there must be a lot of generation gap between them!

Perhaps he was just being presumptuous, thinking that Lin Xiaocui had some feelings for him too, which is why she came all this way.

On the way back, Han Lei was a little absent-minded.

Lin Xiaocui did not notice his strangeness and began to talk about how she was almost forced to marry by her mother and how she started to earn money.

Back then, she would occasionally hide under the covers and cry, but now, when she talks about it, it's all so calm and serene.

"Do you know what my biggest dream was back then?" Lin Xiaocui turned around and walked backwards with her hands behind her back.

Han Lei carefully shone his flashlight on the road, watching the road conditions to make sure she didn't step on anything, and smiled as he asked her, "What is it?"

This was the first time he had heard her talk about these things, and he was eager to learn about her past.

"Actually, it's nothing much. I just hope that one day I can have my own house, be in charge of my own life, and not have to listen to anyone's attitude."

After Lin Xiaocui finished speaking, she stuck out her tongue a little shyly.

"Don't you think I'm being a bit unrealistic?"

Looking at her little expressions, Han Lei found her incredibly cute, and his eyes deepened.

"No wonder you work so hard to earn money. At your current rate of earning, you'll be able to realize your dream of buying a house very soon. Or, in a few years, the newspaper should be able to allocate you a house."

Housing is still allocated by the employer, and Han Lei was assigned a single dormitory room at school.

In companies with good performance, employees can even be allocated large-sized bungalows.

“I don’t like tenement buildings or anything like that. They don’t have separate bathrooms and kitchens, and it feels really awkward to live in them. My sister-in-law said that she’ll have my brother design a house with a separate bathroom and kitchen in the future, and I definitely want to buy one then.”

Lin Xiaocui said earnestly.

No sooner had she finished speaking than a small pebble appeared under her feet. Before Han Lei could warn her, she had already stepped on it.

Her foot slipped, and her body fell backward uncontrollably...

Han Lei reacted quickly and grabbed her, thinking he had caught her, but due to inertia, the two of them fell to the ground at the same time.

Their lips met perfectly.

The soft touch sent a jolt of electricity through their bodies.

Han Lei blushed with embarrassment, immediately stood up, pulled her up, helped her brush the dirt off her, and dared not look her in the eye again.

Perhaps the more he cared, the less he knew how to handle the situation. Like an innocent young man, he pulled Lin Xiaocui toward the guesthouse without saying another word.

Around noon, Lin Xiaocui's roommate next door checked out, so Han Lei quickly booked the room.

Back at the guesthouse, the two went into their rooms, each lost in their own thoughts. They bumped into each other again at the door while taking a shower.

An awkward and ambiguous atmosphere filled the air. Han Lei said, "I'll tell you something later," and then took the washbasin to the shower room.

Lin Xiaocui blushed and nervously entered the shower room, wondering what Han Lei was going to say.

When she kissed him just now, her whole body trembled. It was such a strange feeling. Was he going to apologize to her later?

So annoying!

Hot water cascaded down from the old-fashioned showerhead, enveloping her body. Her hands, holding soap, moved across her skin, feeling the vitality within her.

Half an hour later, she came out of the shower in her pajamas.

Back in her room, she found a towel to dry her hair, sat on the edge of the bed, and waited anxiously for Han Lei to knock on the door.
