Chapter 304 Imprisonment

Dong Yang and Long Si were taking pictures in the back. "Luo Luo, the color of these runes gets darker the further you go in!"

Long Si shuddered involuntarily.

Qin Zhilu smiled. "It means we're getting closer and closer to the finish line."

After a while, Long Yanli slowly spoke, "There is a door."

Qin Zhiluo looked at the bright red rune on the door and said, "It's that poison again. All of you, go back and take a medicinal bath."

Dong Yang scratched his head and slapped it down. "Don't let Nima Lisuo fall into my hands, or I'll let him taste my fists first!"

Long Yanli suddenly felt a bit excited about the medicinal bath; how could everyone give it such a negative review?

Before Long Yanli could open the door with his hands, Qin Zhi kicked it open, saying, "This time I didn't touch it with my hands."

Long Yanli sighed, took the little girl's hand, and walked inside.

"Holy crap!" Dong Yang stared in shock at the scene.

Long Si froze on the spot, "This..."

The circular altar was dark red and mottled, with deep red runes on its surface glowing. The runes meandered along the grooves into the shape of chains, eventually converging in the center of the altar. The chains passed through the girl's wrists and ankles, and blood was faintly seeping from the black veil on her body.

Above the altar, there was a direct path to the outside. Moonlight swept across her face, making her look pale and weak, like a vampire.

Qin Zhiluo stopped them all behind her, saying, "This altar is highly poisonous; none of you should go near it."

Long Yanli wanted to stop the baby, but if she wasn't treated soon, the girl would bleed to death.

Qin Zhiluo gave Long Yanli a reassuring look, then walked up to the altar. "Dongyang, contact someone for backup and have them come directly from above."

The girl suddenly awoke with a start, letting out a muffled sob, her drooping fingertips unconsciously drawing runes on the ground.

Qin Zhiluo came up to her and said, "So you wrote all of this. The runes on it are all your blood, and your blood is highly poisonous."

The girl trembled with fear. "Who...are you?"

Qin Zhilu smiled. "I'm a knight from Yundu, here to rescue people. What about you?"

The girl hesitated for a moment, then stammered, "I... I don't know. I've lived here since I was born, and they all call me... Stutterer."

Qin Zhiluo looked at her intently, "Have you been out?"

The girl shook her head with difficulty, "No... I can only move around in... this secret room."

"Who usually brings you food? How many people have you met so far?" Qin Zhilu casually found a clean spot to sit next to her, studying how to unlock the chains on her body.

Long Yanli was so anxious that he scratched his head and cheeks. Why did he sit down? Even if he wasn't afraid of poison, he shouldn't do this!

Dong Yang lay on Long Si's back to make it easier to take pictures of the entire altar.

The girl looked at her, blood welling up in her eyes. "The person who delivered the food was a... very gentle auntie. Her name is... Elsina. I've never seen anyone else besides her."

Qin Zhiluo was slightly taken aback, and said into the headset, "Fu Yi, have you found Duchess Elsina?"

Fu Yi was taken aback for a moment. “No, she wasn’t a suspect before. I immediately gave the order to arrest her.”

Qin Zhiluo sighed, "It's too late, she must have already run away."

Long Yanli stared coldly at the altar. What was the purpose of imprisoning a young girl here for life? What did this altar mean?

Qin Zhiluo took the chain in her hand, looked around but couldn't find a clasp, so she broke it off. "There's no other way, you'll have to take this piece of chain with you when you leave."
